In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Thunder is a move with 24 base power, 73% accuracy, and 9 PP. It damages an enemy in front of the user, and might inflict paralysis on it. Like in main series, this move can hit a Pokémon in middle of Fly or Bounce, and its accuracy is affected by weather.
Effect: Has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target.
Grid assumes the user is in the square marked by > facing to the right. Orange squares indicate spaces that are hit. Red squares indicate the knockback on hit Pokémon. A blue square indicates the user's position after performing the move.
Pikachu uses Thunder as its down special move. It summons a thunderbolt from the sky to attack opponents on the ground. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, Thunder now summons a cloud that fires the thunderbolt, making the attack's range shorter. Additionally, the thunderbolt now acts a Meteor Smash.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pichu also uses Thunder as its down special move. It functions similarly to Pikachu's Thunder, although it strikes multiple times. If the thunderbolt hits Pichu, it will take damage.
In Pokémon UNITE, Thunder is Pikachu's first move obtained at level 4 by upgrading Thunder Shock into it instead of Electro Ball. The user drops wicked thunderbolts at a designated area, damaging enemies in the radius. At level 11 or higher, the move strikes 7 times.

Electabuzz fires multiple bolts of yellow electricity from its body at the opponent, or Electabuzz gathers electricity in between the horns on its head, and it fires a blast of yellow electricity from its horns at the opponent. On occasion, this will paralyze the opponent.
Magneton's eyes glow red and its magnets become surrounded in yellow static. It then releases a powerful blast of yellow electricity from its body at the opponent. Sometimes, the electricity has black sparks surrounding it.
Manectric fires a blast of yellow or blue electricity from its body at the opponent, or Manectric rises its head and roars loudly, causing a bolt of lightning to fall down from the sky and strike the opponent.
The balls on the ends of Electivire's antennae become surrounded by yellow electricity. Then, Electivire's whole body becomes surrounded by electricity and it fires a blast of it from its body at the opponent, or the balls at the end of Electivire's antennae become surrounded by yellow electricity, and it fires a beam of yellow electricity from the antennae at the opponent, or Electivire puts its tails on the opponent and they become surrounded by yellow static. Its body then becomes surrounded in yellow electricity and it fires a beam of yellow electricity from the end of its tails at the opponent.
The bands on Zekrom's tail glow light blue with electricity and it flies into the air, releasing a powerful beam of electricity from it straight down, striking the opponent, or Zekrom's wings become surrounded in light blue electricity and it releases a beam of light blue electricity from its body at the opponent.
Thundurus raises both of his arms into the air, touching the back of his fists together before pulling them apart. As he does, light blue sparks of electricity fluctuate in between his hands briefly and he pulls back his arms so his fists are behind his head. His fists then become surrounded in light blue electricity, and Thundurus brings his arms forward, firing a beam of light blue electricity from his hands at the opponent.
Zapdos's body is struck with lightning from above and it disperses the electricity from all angles of its body, or Zapdos's body becomes surrounded by electricity and it fires a massive yellow beam of electricity at the opponent.
Pikachu points at the opponent and its body becomes surrounded in electricity. It then fires a powerful beam of electricity from its body at the opponent. When the electricity reaches the opponent, it curls around its body like a twister.
