Brings down the energy of any Pokémon that have already used a move this turn.

Confide (Japanese: ないしょばなし Secret Talk) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation VI. It was TM100 from Generation VI to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. In Generation IX, it is the signature move of Impidimp's evolutionary line.

Effect

Confide lowers the target's Special Attack stat by one stage and bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly. Confide will hit the target even if it has used Protect, Detect, or Spiky Shield, but will be blocked by Crafty Shield. Pokémon with the Ability Soundproof are not affected by this move.

Confide will become a Water-type move when used by a Pokémon with the Ability Liquid Voice. If the user is affected by Throat Chop, it will be unable to use this move for two turns.

If the user is holding a Throat Spray, the item will be consumed and the user's Special Attack stat will raise by one stage.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Confide, the user's Special Defense stat rises by one stage, and the user can use this move regardless of whether it was affected by Throat Chop or not.

The user tells the target a secret, and the target loses its ability to concentrate. This lowers the target's Sp. Atk stat.
