Iron Tail (Japanese: アイアンテール Iron Tail) is a damage-dealing Steel-type move introduced in Generation II. It was TM23 from Generations II to IV as well as in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and TM19 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. It was TR31 in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Effect
Iron Tail inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's Defense stat by one stage.

In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, and Explorers of Time and Darkness, Iron Tail is a move with 20 base power, 78% accuracy, and 10 PP. It damages an enemy in front of the user, and might lower their Defense by one stage.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, the base power is raised to 40.
PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure
Iron Tail is a move learnable by Pikachu in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. Pikachu does not know the move at the beginning of the game, it must be taught to him by Primeape for a cost of 350 Berries. Unlike Dash and Thunderbolt, this move cannot be used outside of battle. It can be used by shaking the Wii Remote during battle. The move's power is upgradeable by returning to Primeape and paying more Berries.
