Solar Blade (Japanese: ソーラーブレード Solar Blade) is a damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature move of Lurantis.

Effect

Solar Blade charges up sunlight on the first turn and then unleashes the power as an attack on the second.

Solar Blade will not need a turn to charge if used during harsh sunlight. It will have its power halved if used during rain, hail, or sandstorm.

If a Pokémon holding a Power Herb uses Solar Blade, it will consume the Power Herb to execute Solar Blade in one turn. If there is harsh sunlight, the Power Herb will not be consumed.

Description

Games Description SMUSUMPE SwShLA In this two-turn attack, the user gathers light and fills a blade with the light's energy, attacking the target on the next turn. BDSP This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered. SV The user gathers light on the first turn, then fills a blade with the light's energy and attacks on the next turn. ZA The user attacks by gathering a great deal of light, then funneling it into a huge blade to swing at its targets. This move takes some time to carry out. Champs The user gains the Charging status on the turn this move is used, then attacks on the following turn. In harsh sunlight, the user does not gain the Charging status and can attack immediately. This move's power is halved in any other weather condition.

	Lurantis basks in the sun, gathering light as its body glows a faint yellow, and forms a large ball of yellow light above its head. Then, Lurantis sticks one of its arms on it, which makes the ball expand upward into a giant blade of yellow light, before bringing the blade down onto the opponent. If the sunlight is harsh, the blade will immediately finish charging.
