Foul Play (Japanese: イカサマ Foul Play) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation V. It was TM21 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! and TR81 in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It is TM062 in Generation IX.

Effect

Foul Play inflicts damage. It uses the target's Attack stat to calculate damage instead of the user's.

The target's Attack stat stage-modifiers are applied (rather than the user's), but otherwise the user's Attack modifiers are used (including held item, Ability, and burn). For example, the user's Huge Power or held Choice Band will increase the stat used in calculation, whereas the target's will not.

Description

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Foul Play is Umbreon's first move. It is obtained by evolving into Umbreon at level 4 and upgrading Swift into it instead of Mean Look. The user charges, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and decreasing their movement speed. If the charge hits an opposing Pokémon, this move can be used again. If this move is used again, the user deals damage to opposing Pokémon it hits, decreasing their movement speed, and shoving them. The second stage of this move deals increased damage based on the Attack of the opposing Pokémon hit in the first stage. The higher their Attack, the higher the damage. At level 10, the user's next basic attack after using this move becomes a boosted attack.
