Effect

Generation V

Hurricane deals damage and has a 30% chance of confusing the target. Hurricane can hit non-adjacent targets in Triple Battles.

Hurricane can hit Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turns of Fly, Bounce, and Sky Drop.

When used during rain, Hurricane bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Dive. When used during harsh sunlight, it has an accuracy of 50%.

Generation VI onwards

Hurricane's power changed from 120 to 110.

Hurricane can be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, with the user gaining an extra three appeal points if the move Rain Dance was used in the prior turn.

Hurricane is a wind move.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Hurricane's power has been lowered to 100. It also can no longer confuse the target, since the status condition is not present in this game.

Generation IX

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Hurricane functions similarly to Thunder and Blizzard (coincidentally all moves that have 70% accuracy in the turn-based games). Upon the wind-up completing a small whirlwind effect appears underneath the target's current location, which intensifies into a damaging windstorm after a delay. Due to how Bounce and Fly function in Z-A, Hurricane has no effect against targets using those moves while they are not visible on the screen.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Hurricane is Cramorant's second move. It is obtained by reaching level 4 and upgrading Feather Dance into it instead of Air Slash. The user creates a fierce wind, damaging and throwing enemies caught in the radius. At level 11, the move briefly speeds up the user.
