Quite an appealing move.

Dark Pulse (Japanese: あくのはどう Evil Pulse) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation IV.

It is:

Effect

Generation IV

Dark Pulse inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of causing the target to flinch.

Generation V onwards

Dark Pulse can hit non-adjacent opponents in Triple Battles.

Dark Pulse's power is increased by 50% when used by a Pokémon with the Ability Mega Launcher.

Dark Pulse is no longer affected by King's Rock.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Dark Pulse's PP was lowered from 15 to 10, and the move can no longer cause flinching. Instead, it bypasses accuracy and evasion checks to always hit.
