Trivia
- Gloria & Zacian are the first Generation VIII character and Pokémon to be added to Pokémon Masters EX, respectively.
- Gloria is based on the player character of Pokémon Sword, as she owns Zacian, Hop owns Zamazenta, and the two mention that they fought Eternatus alongside Zacian and Zamazenta.
- Gloria & Zacian have been featured in the most sync pair scouts of all non-Champion sync pairs, tied with N & Zekrom.
- During the story event Beachside Rivalry, Gloria reveals her Inteleon is the same one she traveled around Galar with.
- All versions of Gloria use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Victor, Hop, Marnie, Bede, Leon, Sonia, Klara, and Avery.
- Gloria (Alt. 2) & Cinderace's passive skill Pasio's Ace may reference Cinderace's Hidden Ability Libero, which allows it to change its type to the same type of its last used move.
- In her challenge uniform's sync pair story, Gloria reveals that her Cinderace was raised from an Egg she got from Hop, and that it gained its Gigantamax potential by eating Max Soup.
- Along with Red and Irida, Gloria is the first trainer introduced before Generation IX seen using the Terastal phenomenon in any Pokémon media.
Origin
Gloria's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Zacian is a Legendary Pokémon that is required to catch at tower summit to progress through Pokémon Sword's post-game. Crowned Sword Zacian's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
Thwackey is the evolved form of Grookey, one of the first partner Pokémon of Galar in the core series games. In addition, Gloria's Pokémon Adventures counterpart temporarily uses Henry's Thwackey in the manga. Thwackey's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
Inteleon is the final Evolution of Sobble, one of the first partner Pokémon of Galar in the core series games. Inteleon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
Gloria's (Dojo Uniform) design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Sword and Shield's The Isle of Armor expansion. Urshifu is the evolved form of Kubfu, which the player obtains, evolves, and unlocks the Gigantamax potential of during The Isle of Armor storyline, with the Rapid Strike Style being achieved if the player chooses to evolve Kubfu in the Tower of Waters. Rapid Strike Style Urshifu's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Shield.
Gloria's Alt. 2 outfit is the same outfit worn when challenging a Gym or the Pokémon League in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Cinderace is the final Evolution of Scorbunny, one of the first partner Pokémon of Galar in the core series games. Cinderace's Gigantamax form can be unlocked in Pokémon Sword and Shield's The Isle of Armor expansion by eating Max Soup. In addition, Gloria's Pokémon Adventures counterpart is depicted with a Cinderace. Cinderace's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Sword.
