Electric company

The electric company is a company that was mentioned in Current Events. Their head of security is a character of the day, and the only company representative seen during the episode. They operate a wind turbine facility between Ecruteak City and Olivine City.

Brock called the Electric company to inform them that Ash was trapped inside their facility, and their electric lock was broken. Team Rocket, who had first entered the facility were responsible for the broken security lock, and Ash later entered out of curiosity. The head of security arrived later and managed to repair the security lock, allowing herself, Brock and Misty to locate Ash. The search party exited the power plant after noticing Ash running outside. The head of security and Ash's friends rushed outside in time to see Ash's Chikorita evolve into Bayleef. After Bayleef freed herself and the plant's Electabuzz, together the Pokémon sent Team Rocket flying.

Afterwards she thanked Ash and Bayleef for helping to defeat Team Rocket. Jigglypuff appeared and lulled everyone to sleep with its melodic Singing, and in anger it scribbled on everyone's faces including the head of security and her Electabuzz.

		Magnemite (×10)
		Magnemite are part of the security system of a power plant operated by the Electric company. When Team Rocket entered the building, the Magnemite aimed their Thunder Shock at them, but when the trio were about to get shocked, the Magnemite left since Ash and Chikorita had also entered the building. When they were chasing Ash and Chikorita, Chikorita tried to attack, but this made the Magnemite even angrier. When Ash escaped with the help of Chikorita, Magnemite still searched the building to look for him. However, they were eventually put to sleep by Jigglypuff's Sing. Magnemite's only known move is Thunder Shock.

		Magneton
		Magneton appeared after the ten Magnemite cornered Ash and his Chikorita. Magneton searched for the two when they escaped. It was put to sleep by Jigglypuff's Sing. Magneton's only known move is Thunder.

		Electrode (multiple)
		Multiple Electrode surrounded Ash and Chikorita after the pair entered the generator room. After one of the Electrode exploded, it gave Ash and Chikorita a chance to escape. The Electrode followed them, but when they reached the main hall, they were put to sleep by Jigglypuff's Sing. Electrode's only known move is Explosion.

		Electabuzz
		Electabuzz was the final Pokémon Ash, Chikorita, and Team Rocket had to deal with. Team Rocket stumbled upon it inside the camera surveillance room, where they fooled it into believing that Ash broke in and was actually causing trouble. The Electabuzz went to search for Ash and found him. After finding Ash, it battled with Chikorita, but mid-way during the battle, a cage locked up both Pokémon. When Chikorita evolved into Bayleef outside the power plant, it was freed from the cage and then finished Team Rocket off. Electabuzz was seen with the head of security where it was about to wave goodbye to Ash and his friends until Jigglypuff lulled everyone to sleep. Electabuzz's known moves are Thunderbolt, Thunder Punch, and Swift.
