Like the player, Bianca lives in the starting town of Nuvema Town, and is also a childhood friend of the player (and soon-to-be-rival). She is described as being 'flighty' by Professor Juniper and Cheren; though she also has a strong side, as shown when she embarks on a Pokémon journey despite her father's strong opposition. This is emphasized in Nimbasa City, where her father disallows her to become a Pokémon Trainer. With the help of Nimbasa City Gym Leader Elesa, Bianca convinces her father to let her follow her dream.
Like the player, Bianca lives in the starting town of Nuvema Town, and is also a childhood friend of the player (and soon-to-be rival). Though being described as 'flighty' by Professor Juniper and Cheren, she also has a strong and determined side, which she demonstrates by embarking on a Pokémon journey despite her father's strong opposition. This is emphasized in Nimbasa City, where her father disallows her to become a Pokémon Trainer. With the help of Nimbasa City Gym Leader Elesa, Bianca convinces her father to let her follow her dream.

In keeping with the theme of truth and ideals often seen in Black and White, Bianca represents those who pursue truth—this is highlighted when N comments that Bianca had to face the truth that not everyone can become stronger. She often admits that she is not a strong Trainer compared to the player and Cheren; and thinks about what she can do in life (whereas Cheren is seen to ponder about what he should do). Later in the game, she decides to research and learn more about Pokémon with Juniper.

She often admits that she is not a strong Trainer compared to the player and Cheren and thinks about what she can do in life (whereas Cheren is seen to ponder about what he should do). Later in the game, she decides to research and learn more about Pokémon with Juniper. Even though she is not as strong in battles as her childhood friends, Bianca discovers that by becoming a Pokémon researcher, she too can make valuable contributions to the Pokémon world.

Like the player and Cheren, Bianca receives a first partner Pokémon as a gift from Professor Juniper at the start of the game; she chooses the Pokémon with a type disadvantage to the player's first partner Pokémon. The player encounters Bianca on several occasions, where she often challenges the player to a battle.

The player encounters Bianca on several occasions, where she often challenges the player to a battle.

After the player has defeated Alder, she will be around to battle them on weekends in Nuvema Town.

In , Bianca appears as Professor Juniper's assistant, giving the player his or her starter Pokémon. She, after not seeing him for two years, will also be reunited with Cheren in Aspertia City.

She appears sometimes in the game, generally running errands for Professor Juniper, such as looking for Tynamo in Chargestone Cave. She will accompany the player as a tag partner on the player's first visit to Reversal Mountain while she investigates the Pokémon Heatran.

She also appears as a participant of the Mix Tournament at the Pokémon World Tournament.

She can be called on the Xtransceiver to figure out the player's current Friendship level with Pokémon in his or her party. After the player has defeated the Champion, she can also figure out whether a Pokémon in the player's party has reached its effective cap in effort values for any stat (252), or overall (510).

Aspertia City
*Upon meeting the player
:"It's sooo pretty! Hey there! Don't you agree? Oh! My name is Bianca! I'm the assisstant of the Pokémon Professor--Professor Juniper. By the way, I'm looking for someone. Do you know a person called <player>?" (regardless of the answer) "Oh, wait! You're <player>! Wooow! You're ex-act-ly like what I heard! Nice to meet you! I have a really important request to ask you! Will you help us complete the Pokédex?"
::No: "N-no way... I-I must have misheard you. Right? This is a very important request. Will you please help us complete the Pokédex?"
::Yes: "Oh, wow! Thanks! Your support will help Professor Juniper's research move forward! Anyway, filling up the Pokédex is totally fun!"

*Giving the player their starter
:"OK, then! Ta-daaa! In here is the Pokémon that will be your partner!"

*After the player has chosen their starter
:"Oh, wow! You and Snivy/Tepig/Oshawott are a perfect match! By the way, would you like to give a nickname to the Pokémon you chose?"
::No: "Oh, OK, gotcha. You're not going to give it a nickname."
::Yes: (after the nickname is given) "<Starter's nickname>! Is that the nickname you want?"
:::No: (lets the player to rename the Pokémon before repeating the question)
:::Yes: "<Starter's nickname>! That is such a great name!"
:"Now you've got your Pokémon, so I'll give you this, too--a Pokédex! You want to know what it does? The Pokédex is a high-tech device that automatically records the Pokémon you encounter! So Professor Juniper wants you to carry this Pokédex, visit a lot of places, and meet all the Pokémon in the Unova region!"

*Upon Hugh's arrival
:"It's a Pokédex!"
:"Um...who are you again?"
:"Well, OK! I don't really get it, but going on a journey is always good! Anyway, I just happen to have another Pokédex on me! It looks like Pokémon distribution has really changed compared to two years ago, so the more, the merrier!"

*After the battle between the player and Hugh
:"The Pokémon on both sides did their best! But this little one is still weak, so battle with it and make it stronger! All righty, let's go make your Pokémon better at the Pokémon Center! It's like the best place ever for Pokémon who battle and get hurt!"

*At the Pokémon Center
:"The Pokémon Center is the same no matter where you are! Let's go inside!" (entering the Center) "OK! I'll show you around the Pokémon Center!" (taking the player to meet the Nurse) "The Pokémon Center heals the Pokémon for free! You should bring your Pokémon here anytime they get weak." (after the player's Pokémon is healed) "Next, I'll explain the PC!" (taking the player to the PC) "This square thing is a PC! Any Trainer is free to use it! You can deposit Pokémon in it. Also, you can withdraw Pokémon from it! The next thing is over here!" (taking the player to the Poké Mart) "This is the Poké Mart! Here you can buy and sell many different items! The Poké Balls you use to capture Pokémon can also be bought at the Poké Mart! Here, <player>! I'll give you some Poké Balls!" (after giving the Poké Balls) "Next up! I'll show you how to use those Poké Balls! Follow me!"

*After Hugh's sister has given the player the V
:"Why are there two Town Maps?"
:"Aww, you guys! Just watching this makes me happy! C'mon, we're headed for Route 19! I'll teach you how to catch Pokémon!"

*After defeating Cheren
:"Heeey! How was it? How did your Pokémon battle with the Gym Leader go? Oh! If it isn't the Basic! Wow! Amazing! And you just set off on your journey with your Pokémon! You definitely have potential as a Trainer! I'm sure of it! This is from me! It's the TM for the move Return."
:"When a Pokémon knows Return, the more it gets along with the Trainer, the more powerful the move is!"
:"Still, that Cheren..."
:"Oh wow!"
:"Wh-What's up?"
:"M-me, too!"
:"I registered Professor Juniper for you, too!"

19
*Before the tutorial
:"Heeey! This way! This kinda reminds me of that day on 1. OK, here's how it works. The Pokédex's pages fill up automatically when you meet Pokémon! And when you catch a Pokémon, more detailed information on it is added to the Pokédex! Here, I'll show you how to capture a Pokémon! Starting...NOW!"

*During the tutorial
:"You just have to use a Poké Ball after lowering its HP!"

*After the tutorial
:"What a relief! I caught a Pokémon! Oh! Um... Right. I'll go over the important stuff. First, go find a healthy Pokémon to catch! You need to remember this next bit! It's better to lower the Pokémon's HP before you try to catch it. Use your Pokémon's moves to lower the HP of the Pokémon you want to catch. Making it fall asleep of paralyzing it will make it even easier to catch! You're going to deliver the Town Map to your friend, right? Continue straight this way to get to Floccesy Town! Bye now! Meet lots of Pokémon and catch a lot of them, OK?"

*Xtransceiver conversation
:"Hi, Professor Juniper! It's really interesting over here! There are sooo many Pokémon we couldn't prove were here two years ago!"
:"It'll be fine! Cheren's a new Gym Leader, I'm an Assistant Pokémon Professor, and <player> is a new Trainer, but we always have Pokémon by our sides!"

*After the conversation
:"Hey, <player>! Isn't Professor Juniper cool? If you talk to her on the Xtransceiver, she'll evaluate the completeness of your Pokédex or tell you a lot about how Pokémon evolve! And you can call us, too, of course! I'll tell you how well you and your Pokémon are getting along, OK?!"
:"Being a Gym Leader is even harder than I imagines."
:"The next thing is to make is so you can use the C-Gear. The C-Gear is a cool device for communications, such as Infrared Connection or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection."

*Activating the C-Gear
:"Check this! The C-Gear was activated, and that screen showed up! If you touch the "?" icon in the bottom-right corner of the C-Gear screen, you can read about the C-Gear. Like, what are you going to do now? You know, there's another Pokémon Gym in Virbank City, which is just past Floccesy Town."

Floccesy Town
*If the player attempts to go to 20
:"Heeey!"
:"I'm sorry! I forgot to upgrade the Pokédex that I gave you! I'm going to add the Habitat List! It's an amazing feature! I'm just going to borrow your Pokédex for a second!"
:"With the Habitat List, you can check which Pokémon are in the area! It's a mode in the Pokédex! To use it, open up the Pokédex and tap the Habitat List button on the lower left of the Touch Screen! Next, pick the area you want to see! You can see all the Pokémon that live in that area. It even tells you which ones you've already caught! Would you like to hear my explanation again?"
::No: "I have a tip for you! When you're walking down a path, you'll sometimes see rustling grass! If you go to that spot... Well, I'll let the rest be a surprise! Filling up the Pokédex will make your world bigger! So go to many different places and meet many different Pokémon, OK? See you!"

Reversal Mountain
*Upon meeting up with the player
:"Heeey! <Player>! Um, you know what? There's something I want to investigate here in Reversal Mountain. But the wild Pokémon here are really tough, and I'm having trouble with them! Could you come with me? Please? Oh! Don't worry! I'll take care of healing your Pokémon, OK? Ready? Let's go!"

*Arriving at the exit
:Oh! Undella Town is right through here! I want to keep looking around a little bit. What do you want to do? Should we say bye for now?
::No: "Well, then. Let's go look around a little more!"
::Yes: "I want to do a little more research about Heatran anyway! Thank you for coming with me! Be careful on the rest of your journey!"

Nuvema Town (Memory Link)
:"Heeey!"
:"I have fond memories of this place... One day... <player's name in B/W>, Cheren, and I all gathered right here and took the first step of our adventure. It's a very special spot."
:"Hey, <player>! Let's take our first step on Route 1 together! One, two!"
:"Ha ha! That's what I said. Hey, while we're here, have a Pokémon battle with me! Talking about <player's name in B/W> put me in the mood for a Pokémon battle!"
*During battle (the first non-KO HP loss)
:"S-s-still... That's fine. We're just fine!"
*Last Pokémon low on health
:"Uh...at a time like this, I am supposed to do...what?"
*Being defeated
:"Thank you for having a battle with me! It was a lot of fun!"
*After being defeated
:"Tee-hee! You're so tough! You're just like <player's name in B/W>! OK! I just have to remember what I felt like back then and work hard, too! Thanks! See you!"

Bianca (Japanese: ベル Bel) is a Pokémon Trainer from the Unova region.

She is a rival character in Pokémon Black and White and an Assistant Pokémon Professor to Professor Juniper in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.

In the core series games

Role

Pokémon Black and White

After the player has defeated Alder twice, she will be around to battle them on weekends in Nuvema Town.

Pokémon Black 2 and White 2

In Black 2 and White 2, Bianca appears as Professor Juniper's assistant, giving the player his or her first partner Pokémon. She, after not seeing him for two years, will also be reunited with Cheren in Aspertia City.

She appears several times throughout the game, generally running errands for Professor Juniper, such as looking for Tynamo in Chargestone Cave. She will accompany the player as a Multi Battle partner on the player's first visit to Reversal Mountain while she investigates the Legendary Pokémon Heatran.

Bianca appears as a recurring character in the anime. She is a friendly rival of Ash and occasional traveling companion. She is clumsy and hasty, but genuinely goodhearted and cares deeply for her Pokémon and the friends she makes on her journey. Her father did not allow her to travel for some time, causing her to be slightly inexperienced for her age, but she doesn't take the opportunity for granted. She occasionally runs errands for Professor Juniper, one of which was bringing Ash his Badge case.

Her first partner Pokémon was Oshawott at a type disadvantage to Monta's Snivy. She first appeared with Cheren, and after Cheren's lecture telling Monta his is inexperienced, Bianca says he said too much. She then watches Monta and Cheren battle the Biker King.

She and the two boys discovered a little girl with her Minccino taken by Team Plasma. Bianca stayed behind with the girl while Touya went after the Grunts responsible for taking Minccino.

Later, after Touya defeated the two Team Plasma Grunts's Woobat and Watchog, Bianca reunited with him and received a call from Cheren via the Xtransceiver. He told her and Touya to come to the Icirrus Gym. The two went to Icirrus Gym and Cheren informed them about the situation in the Gym. Later, the four went to Dragonspiral Tower to stop N. While Touya went after N, Bianca and the others stayed behind to battle some Team Plasma Grunts who were preventing them from going after N.
