Forewarn (Japanese: よちむ Prophetic Dream) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

In battle

Forewarn shows the opponent's move with the highest power. If two or more moves are of the same power, one will be chosen at random.

In battles with multiple opponents, Forewarn will only show the highest power move out of all the moves known by the opponents. If multiple opponents have a move with the same power, one will be chosen at random. Forewarn can reveal a move of a non-adjacent opponent even if the move wouldn't be able to hit the Pokémon with Forewarn due to being out of range.

Damaging moves without a power (i.e. moves that deal direct damage and moves that have variable power) are assigned one.

If the opposing Pokémon only have status moves, it will still assign one to them.

If the opposing Pokémon is Dynamaxed, it will only assign a move from the Pokémon's base moves.

Reason: Check the powers assigned to moves without them in Gen V and VI (the list may only be accurate to Gen IV: Hidden Power probably only has a power assigned prior to Gen VI, and other moves are probably assigned 80), is Dragon Energy affected?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Reason: Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers series and the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare) games, a Pokémon with Forewarn occasionally evades moves, even moves that never miss. From Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity onwards, Forewarn shows the location of items and Pokémon on the floor while the Pokémon is in the Sleep, Napping, or Nightmare status condition.
