Punishment deals damage. Its power depends on the positive stat stages of the target, and is calculated by the following formula:
, with a maximum base power of 200.
For example, if the target has used Bulk Up twice and Swords Dance once, there is a four-stage increase for the Attack stat and a two-stage increase in the Defense stat, making a total of six, which causes Punishment to have a base power of 180.
Stats decreased below normal do not affect the base power.
Sableye points one of its fingers straight up in the air and a beam of energy shoots out from its front and its back and hits the opponent. The attack does much more damage if Sableye was hit with an attack before using it.
