Trivia

  • Morty is the one of the two Trainers to form a sync pairs with three different roles: Strike, Support, and Tech, the other one is Elesa.

Origin

Morty's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Morty uses Drifblim during his rematch with the player in the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Drifblim's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Morty uses Mismagius during his rematch with the player in the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver as well as Pokémon World Tournament battle in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Mismagius's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Morty uses Banette during his Pokémon World Tournament battle in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Banette's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

While Morty does not own a Ho-Oh outside this game, his hometown of Ecruteak shares a history with it, and he expresses interest in meeting it in the core series games. Ho-Oh's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.
