Trivia

  • Giacomo and Kingambit's buddy move and passive skills granting the Physical Moves ↑ Next effect when their allies faint is likely a reference to Kingambit's signature Ability, Supreme Overlord, which powers up Kingambit for each ally that has fainted on its team.
  • All versions of Giacomo use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Penny, Clavell, Roxie, Ryuki, Piers, and Eri.
    • Giacomo also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Penny, Clavell, or Eri in the same team.
  • Giacomo, Clavell, and Jacq are the only Generation IX characters to not feature in the splash screen or title screen art for their respective debut events.

Origin

Giacomo's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Scarlet. Kingambit is Giacomo's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Kingambit's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
