Trivia

Blossom's unused EX pose
  • A sprite of Blossom in an EX pose exists in the game files, resembling the pose that she takes in her artwork from Pokémon X and Y. However, as Blossom cannot currently be upgraded to 6★ EX, this sprite goes unused.
    • She is the only playable character based on a generic Trainer class to have an EX pose sprite.
    • However, the pose can be replicated in the photo creator by selecting the special pose option for Blossom.

Origin

Blossom's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon X and Y, which, in turn, is one of the four possible appearances of the Furisode Girl Trainer class from the aforementioned games. Blossom uses a Kirlia during the battle against her at the Laverre Gym. Kirlia's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.
