Trivia

  • Alder & Volcarona were the first fair-exclusive Bug-type sync pair.
  • According to Marshal, Alder is the oldest Champion in Unovan history.
  • All versions of Alder use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, Nate, Rosa, Brycen, Marshal, Iris, N, and Benga.
    • Alder also uses special voice-over lines upon winning a battle with Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, Nate, Rosa, Brycen, Iris, N, or Benga in the same team.
  • Alder is the first trainer to receive an arc suit to not have any alternate sync pairs before receiving their arc suit sync pair.
  • Along with Victor & Rillaboom, Alder & Volcarona were the last 5★ fair-exclusive sync pair released before the introduction of EX roles to receive one.
  • Arc Suit Alder & Volcarona are the first Bug-type sync pair to be featured in a sync pair scout with a 1% chance of being recruited.

Origin

Alder's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Volcarona is Alder's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Volcarona's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
