Hilbert (Japanese: トウヤ Touya) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Oshawott and its Evolutions, Dewott and Samurott. This sync pair can be obtained through the general sync pair scout and was first made available on September 24, 2019 alongside the Water-type Training Event. The pair's potential can be raised to 6★ EX since March 22, 2021, which unlocks Hilbert's EX style.

Description	This highly talented Trainer is said to have acquired his Pokémon battling skills on a journey around Unova. He seems calm but actually hates losing.

Hilbert in his fall attire forms a sync pair with Mightyena. This sync pair can be obtained through seasonal sync pair scouts and was first made available on October 15, 2020 alongside the story event Fight or Fright. The pair's potential can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released, which unlocks Hilbert (Fall 2020)'s EX style.

Hilbert in his sygna suit forms a sync pair with Genesect. This sync pair can be obtained through Poké Fair sync pair scouts and was first made available on November 2, 2022 alongside the villain event The Captured King. The pair's potential can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released, which unlocks Sygna Suit Hilbert's EX style.

Hilbert also forms a sync pair with Glaceon. This sync pair can be obtained through variety sync pair scouts and was first made available on November 21, 2024 alongside the Eevee Day Celebration! event Eevee Tales. This pair can be obtained through a variety sync pair scout and was first made available on September 5, 2025, alongside the solo event Nature Incarnate. History

Hilbert has experienced similar events to his core series counterpart as the player character of Pokémon Black. Hilbert received his first partner Pokémon, Oshawott, from Professor Juniper. While on his journey, Hilbert formed rivalries with Cheren, Bianca, and N, and challenged the Battle Subway with Hilda. Hilbert would also encounter and put a stop to Team Plasma's plans, such as them trying to use Victini's powers for themselves. Eventually Hilbert would go on to disbanded Team Plasma. After disbanding Team Plasma, Hilbert caught a Kyurem at Giant Chasm. During Hilbert's journey, he caught a Mightyena, a Glaceon, and Thundurus.

At some point, Hilbert's original Samurott had an Egg while at a Pokémon Day Care, which would later hatch into an Oshawott. Hilbert decided to bring this Oshawott with him to Pasio.

Oshawott → Dewott → Samurott

Oshawott can evolve into Dewott once it has reached level 30 through its sync pair story Oshawott's Evolution, and then into Samurott once it has reached level 45 through its sync pair story Dewott's Evolution.

• Hilbert is based on the player character in Pokémon Black, as Cheren and Alder both have flashbacks to him having clashed with N over their ideologies, and N says that he met Zekrom before meeting Reshiram.
  • In the story event The Ideal Formula, it is revealed that Hilbert was searching for N during the events of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 because N left him so suddenly that he didn't have a chance to say goodbye.
• In his sync pair story, Hilbert reveals that the Oshawott he brought to Pasio was hatched from an Egg he found after he left his original Samurott at a Pokémon Day Care.
• All versions of Hilbert use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Hilda, Cheren, Bianca, Nate, Rosa, Alder, and N.
• As revealed in a Pokémon Center conversation, Hilbert has a fear of ghosts.
• Sygna Suit Hilbert & Genesect's passive skill Hilbert's Plan references the Drives that can be used to change the type of Genesect's Techno Blast in the core series games.

Origin

Hilbert's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Black and White. Oshawott is one of the first partner Pokémon of Unova in the core series games. In addition, Hilbert's Pocket Monsters BW: Meetings with the Legends counterpart is depicted with Oshawott and its Evolutions. Oshawott and Samurott's Dex entries come from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, and Dewott's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Black.

Hilbert's Glaceon may be based on the Eevee that can be obtained as a gift Pokémon during an event in Japan for Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Glaceon's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Thundurus is a Legendary Pokémon that is encountered and can potentially be caught by the player in Pokémon White. Thundurus's Dex entry comes from Pokémon White.

Hilbert is not seen owning a Mightyena outside this game. Mightyena's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.

Genesect is an event-exclusive Mythical Pokémon that was introduced in Generation V, just like Hilbert was, though Genesect was first distributed in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, in which Hilbert did not appear. Genesect's Dex entry comes from Pokémon White.

White Kyurem was introduced in Generation V, as Hilbert was, but did not appear until Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, which Hilbert did not appear in.
