Citadark Isle (Japanese: ニケルダーク島 Nickeldark Island) is the headquarters of Cipher in Pokémon XD. It can only be reached by riding the Robo Kyogre from Gateon Port. A notable portion of the Shadow Pokémon in the game—almost half of them—are found on Citadark Isle.
Lovrina, Snattle, and Gorigan all retreat to the island after being defeated, where they will rematch the player in an attempt to defeat him.
As Greevil, the Grand Master of Cipher, is based here, the player also has to battle Ardos and Eldes, his bodyguards. After defeating all the Cipher Admins, the player will battle XD001, the Shadow Lugia that is supposedly impossible to purify.
Once XD001 has been dealt with, Greevil will proceed to battle the player, using a full team of six Shadow Pokémon. After Greevil is defeated, Ardos will come in and tell Greevil to blow up Citadark Isle. However, Eldes will also come in and convince Greevil that doing this would be immoral. Greevil realizes that everything they've done was a mistake, and he and Eldes turn themselves in to the police.
Spoilers end here. |

Description
Citadark Isle itself is a volcanic island surrounded by strong currents, which are artificially created by Cipher to repel would-be intruders. It has a massive dome in the crater of the volcano, where the player battles Eldes and Greevil. There is also a labyrinth of lava rooms, caves, puzzles, and numerous Trainers that the player must clear in order to make it the summit of the volcano. An elevator leads straight from the base of the island to the top, but it can only be used once the player has encountered and defeated Snattle outside of the dome.

Trivia
- Data exists for an additional Colosseum named Dark Colosseum (Japanese: ニケルダーク島コロシアム Nickeldark Island Colosseum). It has a description of "A Colosseum built on Citadark Isle."
- The battle music with Navigator Abson is the Cipher Peon music, unlike other trainers of the same class.
- Citadark Isle has a map marker that can never been seen or activated through normal gameplay due to how far away from the center of the Orre map it is.
