Daisy Oak (Japanese: オーキド・ナナミ Nanami Okido) is the older sister of Blue, and the granddaughter of Professor Oak. She is known as May (Japanese: サツキ Satsuki) in The Electric Tale of Pikachu manga.
In the games
In Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, as well as in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, Daisy gives the player a Town Map (despite her brother telling her not to) if he or she visits her after receiving a starter Pokémon. She gives free grooming to one of the player's Pokémon in the Generation II games once per day between 3 and 4 PM, and in FireRed and LeafGreen every 500 steps once the player has entered the Hall of Fame.
Also in FireRed and LeafGreen, after the player has entered the Hall of Fame, Daisy will tell a player how happy their Pokémon are. She's well known for being adored by all kinds of Pokémon. It is said that when she's around, even the most ferocious Pokémon calm down. Daisy enjoys tea every day, and buys hers from the Celadon Department Store. She's also a champion Pokémon Coordinator, having won the Spring Pokémon Contest some years back. In her house, there's a photo of "the lovely and sweet Clefairy."
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, she gives the player Blue's number so they can call and arrange a rematch with him at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. She will only share this once she has given seven groomings and been shown one Pokémon with maxed friendship.
Also returning from previous generations, Daisy, still located in her home of Pallet Town, will groom one of the player's Pokémon for free once daily between 3:01 and 4:00 PM. As in Generation II, it will raise a Pokémon's friendship greatly, but it will also raise the Pokémon's Contest condition by 32 Beauty and 22 sheen. This is not displayed anywhere in-game, and the Pokémon must be seen from the point of view of Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum to notice. Despite this, a Feebas whose Beauty is maxed out this way can evolve into Milotic.
As a reference to her enjoyment of tea in Generation III, a large mug of tea sits on her table. She will also mention that she "usually has tea about this time" if she is visited between 15:01 and 16:00 in Generation IV.

In the manga
In The Electric Tale of Pikachu manga
Daisy apparently does not exist in the anime, but in The Electric Tale of Pikachu, which is based on the anime, she appears as May (Japanese: サツキ Satsuki). Ash has a very obvious and powerful crush on her, and trying to impress May is one of Ash's biggest motivations to do well and not give up on his Pokémon journey.
Ash and May seem to be friends or at least acquainted, as he speaks with her before he leaves Pallet Town and she gives him a Town Map before he leaves, much like Daisy gives one to Red/Leaf in the games. He also writes her a letter with details on his progress as a Pokémon Trainer in Play Misty For Me.
She is drawn with an oversized bust in the original Japanese version, though it is heavily toned down in the English translations.
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Daisy works as Professor Oak's research assistant, and later as Bill's assistant.
History
Past
In a flashback in It All Ends Now III, Daisy and the first Magma Admin Courtney are seen as children. At this point, both Daisy and Courtney are close friends and s. Daisy is shown to have a Clefairy that she uses for Pokémon Contests.
Yellow arc
In Extricated from Exeggutor, it is shown that Daisy recently started helping Professor Oak as his research assistant. She says that it is an honor to work for her grandfather. Daisy and Professor Oak talk about Yellow, who is currently searching for Red.
In Punching Poliwrath, Daisy and her Chansey are seen taking care of a Wigglytuff. Soon, she and Professor Oak witness Pewter City, Cerulean City and Celadon City being attacked by the Elite Four. Daisy and Professor Oak talk about the current situation, including once again talking about Yellow's search for Red.
Gold, Silver & Crystal arc
In Tyranitar War, Daisy is concerned about whether Red has fully recovered from frostbite.
In Forretress of Solitude, Daisy and Yellow witness Red's training. Daisy finds out that Red still doesn't know that Yellow is a girl.
Prior to Rock, Paper...Scizor, Blue tells his sister Daisy that Red may fully recover from frostbite in a secret spring at Mt. Silver. Later, Blue lets Red borrow his Charizard for transportation and tells him to ask Daisy for details. Before Red leaves, Daisy hugs Charizard and tells him to take care of Red.
In Playful Porygon2, Daisy is looking for his brother Blue because it's almost his turn to fight in the Gym Leader tournament. She notices it is unusually hot. Daisy witnesses Blue and Silver using both of their Gyarados against Entei.
In Entranced by Entei, Daisy tells Blue that he must rush to the stadium for his battle, as Blue's opponent will be his master Chuck. Her words stop Blue from chasing after Entei.
In Heckled by Hitmontop, Daisy reports to the chairman about the unusual heat from before, and accidentally finds Bill as well, who was with the chairman.
In Lugia and Ho-Oh on the Loose (Part 1), Daisy is among the many others who see Gold on screen, interrupting the Gym Leader tournament and warning that Team Rocket is arriving. They also witness as the Team Rocket later arrives by train.
In The Last Battle XII, the Radio Director finds Bill and Daisy lying on the ground unconscious, amidst the debris caused by the Team Rocket's attacks. It is implied that at some point Bill used his body to shield Daisy from falling rocks and a steel girdle. The Radio Director manages to wake Bil and Daisy up, but both are very injured. They start receiving faxes from various people.
In The Last Battle XIII, Daisy wraps a piece of cloth around Bill's arm. Meanwhile, the Radio Director reads some of the faxes aloud for Bill and Daisy to hear. Some messages are from people wanting to send their Pokémon to help against the current threat. Bill suddenly stands up and goes quickly to the currently broken Pokémon transfer system, because he had an idea about how he could try to fix it. Daisy follows him and helps him. The Pokémon transfer system seems hopeless at fist, and Daisy witnesses Bill blaming himself and considering himself useless as a scientist. Daisy quickly points out that there is a lot of electric energy left in the Magnet Train (which unbeknowst to them, was left by Raikou). Ultimately, the system is sucessfully fixed thanks to Bill and Daisy's work and the use of Raikou's stored electricity. Daisy witnesses Bill asking the Radio Director to tell everyone to send their Pokémon to help, via the now-functioning system.
In The Last Battle XIV, Daisy has been replaced by Crystal as Professor Oak's assistant. One morning, Professor Oak scrambles to wake up after having overslept without Daisy to wake him. Professor Oak wonders when Daisy will be coming back. Daisy starts working as Bill's assistant.
