Trivia

  • James is one of the few characters in Pokémon Masters EX who shares his English and Japanese voice actors with his main series anime counterpart.
  • Upon reaching his maximum level, James breaks the fourth wall by saying, "Nothing can stop us now! Not even the writers!"
  • James is one of the few sync pairs with less than seven dialogues in the Pokémon Center, with only three.

Origin

James's design is based on his appearance in the anime, as well as in Pokémon Yellow, Let's Go, Pikachu!, and Let's Go, Eevee!. During the original series of the anime, Weezing served as James's signature Pokémon. Weezing's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby.
