Scarlet & Violet arc

Casseroya Lake first appeared in the Scarlet & Violet arc, where Violet and Arven arrived there to search for the final Herba Mystica. After spending an entire day searching for the Titan Pokémon around the perimeter of the lake, they spent a night at Socarrat Trail before resuming their search the next day. While inspecting the lake itself, they found themselves attacked by a Dondozo, which they were saved from by Cabbie Oscar, who regularly patrols the lake to save Trainers who wind up getting in trouble there. He directed Violet and Arven to a small island inhabited by Tatsugiri, one of which kept repeating the word "Titan". When Violet interacted with it, it summoned a Dondozo, which they identified as the False Dragon Titan, and had it attack them, quickly defeating them and knocking them out, allowing the Tatsugiri to steal all of their food.
