Aqua Ring (Japanese: アクアリング Aqua Ring) is a non-damaging Water-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

The user surrounds itself with a veil of water, allowing it to restore 1/16 of its maximum HP (rounded down) at the end of every turn. Aqua Ring works regardless of the user's type.

If the affected Pokémon is holding a Big Root, the amount of restored HP is increased by 30%. A Pokémon affected by Heal Block can still use Aqua Ring, but the veil of water will not restore the user's HP as long as Heal Block is in effect.

The effect of Aqua Ring can be Baton Passed.

If powered up by a Waterium Z into Z-Aqua Ring, the user's Defense stat rises by one stage.

In Generation IV only, Aqua Ring cannot be stolen by Snatch. It can be stolen by Snatch from Generation V onwards.
