Description An incredibly impetuous, high-spirited young man who runs straight for what he wants without any hesitation, he has an earnest passion for Pokémon.

Barry (Japanese: ジュン Jun) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Piplup and its evolutions, Prinplup and Empoleon. The sync pair is obtained during the events of Chapter 2 of the Main Story.

Piplup → Prinplup → Empoleon

Piplup can evolve into Prinplup once it has reached level 30 through its Sync Pair Story Piplup's Evolution, and then into Empoleon once it has reached level 45 through its Sync Pair Story Prinplup's Evolution.

Trivia

  • In his Sync Pair Story, Barry reveals that he keeps trying to fine people because he wants to gather money for his own Battle Tower so he could challenge his father there.
  • Barry's Empoleon is the only Pokémon in Pokémon Masters EX with a weakness it does not have in the core series of games, as Empoleon is neutral to Grass due to its Water/Steel typing.
