The Japanese Sun & Moon Era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game began in November 2016 with the release of the Pikachu's New Friends blister pack, starting off a wide array of TCG merchandise centered around Pokémon Sun and Moon and the Alola region. This collection includes a substantial amount of decks, blister packs, boxes, and many more accessories to commemorate the seventh generation of the franchise. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Japanese Sun & Moon Era of the Trading Card Game.
Pikachu's New Friends Collection
- Main article: Pikachu's New Friends (TCG)
The Pikachu's New Friends Collection (Japanese: ピカチュウと新しい仲間たち Pikachu's New Friends) is the first piece of merchandise released for the Japanese Sun & Moon Era. It introduces the Alola region first partner Pokémon, Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, alongside Pikachu, as Holofoil cards. It was released on November 18, 2016, together with the release of the Pokémon Sun and Moon video games.

Welcome to Alola! Deck Case & Sleeves
Also released alongside the new Generation VII games on November 18, 2016 were the Welcome to Alola! Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド Welcome to Alola! Deck Case & Shield: Welcome to Alola!), a set including a deck case with a capacity to store up to 180 cards (or 90 cards in sleeves), two card dividers, and 64 card sleeves. All have illustrations featuring the player characters Elio and Selene and several native Alolan Pokémon.

Pokémon Center Sapporo Reopening Deck Case & Sleeves
In celebration of the reopening of Pokémon Center Sapporo on December 1, 2016, many new winter-themed items of merchandise were released in Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across the country. Among these were the Pokémon Center Sapporo R Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド ポケモンセンターサッポロR Deck Case & Shield: Pokémon Center Sapporo R), each of which feature illustrations by kawayoo depicting the updated Pokémon Center Sapporo mascots Pikachu, Alolan Vulpix, and Popplio, as well as several other Pokémon enjoying the snow. The product includes a deck case with space to store at least 90 cards, two card dividers, and a set of 64 card sleeves.

Decidueye-GX Starter Set Grass

Complementing the Collection Sun and Collection Moon expansions from December 9, 2016 were a set of three Sun & Moon Starter Sets, fulfilling a role similar to that of Theme Decks outside Japan. The first of these was the Decidueye-GX Starter Set Grass (Japanese: スターターセット草 ジュナイパーGX), which focuses on the final evolution of the Grass-type first partner Pokémon Decidueye as one of the new Pokémon-GX. It also includes a rulebook, a player's guide, a GX marker, damage and status counters, a coin, and a playmat.

Incineroar-GX Starter Set Fire

Focusing on the final evolution of the Fire-type first partner Pokémon, Incineroar as a Pokémon-GX, the second of three Sun & Moon Starter Sets released on December 9, 2016 was the Incineroar-GX Starter Set Fire (Japanese: スターターセット炎 ガオガエンGX). The set also comes with a rulebook, a player's guide, a GX marker, damage and status counters, a coin, and a playmat.

Primarina-GX Starter Set Water

The Primarina-GX Starter Set Water (Japanese: スターターセット水 アシレーヌGX) was the last of three Sun & Moon Starter Sets released on December 9, 2016. It features a fixed selection of Water-type Pokémon, focusing on Primarina as a Pokémon-GX, as well as random groups of cards that form part of the overall Sun & Moon Starter Set. Like its two counterparts, this set comes with a rulebook, a player's guide, a GX marker, damage and status counters, a coin, and a playmat.

Toys "R" Us Limited GX Starter Set
Available exclusively at Toys "R" Us stores in Japan from December 9, 2016 was the Toys "R" Us Limited GX Starter Set (Japanese: トイザらス限定 GXスターターセット). This deluxe product includes all 3 Sun & Moon Starter Sets, featuring the final evolutions of the Alola region first partner Pokémon: Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina. It also comes with Pikachu and Mimikyu promotional cards.

Premium Trainer Box

Also released on December 9, 2016 was the Premium Trainer Box (Japanese: プレミアムトレーナーボックス). Similar to the international Elite Trainer Box line of products, this box includes all items a player requires for battle, as well as storage and organization. A set of Trainer and Special Energy cards from both the XY BREAK and Sun & Moon Eras are also included, plus 10 packs each of Collection Sun and Collection Moon to bolster a player's collection.

Togedemaru Special Set
The Togedemaru Special Set (Japanese: スペシャルセット「トゲデマル」) was one of three blister packs made available on December 9, 2016 alongside the Collection Sun and Collection Moon expansions. This set could only be purchased at participating 7-Eleven, Ito-Yokado, and York Benimaru stores, as well as Pokémon Centers. It features the Roly-Poly Pokémon Togedemaru, and comes with 1 Collection Sun booster pack and 1 Collection Moon booster pack.

Pikachu SM1 Special Set
The Pikachu Special Set (Japanese: スペシャルセット「ピカチュウ」) was the second of three blister packs available from December 9, 2016. Released at participating Circle K Sunkus, Daily Yamazaki, FamilyMart, Ministop, and Lawson stores, as well as Pokémon Centers, this set features the Mouse Pokémon Pikachu, and also comes with 1 booster pack each of Collection Sun and Collection Moon.

Yungoos Special Set
The last of three blister packs made available on December 9, 2016 was the Yungoos Special Set (Japanese: スペシャルセット「ヤングース」), sold exclusively at participating TSUTAYA stores and at Pokémon Centers. Featuring the Loitering Pokémon Yungoos, this set comes with 2 Collection Sun booster packs and 2 Collection Moon booster packs.

SM1 accessories
With the launch of the first Sun & Moon Era sets, Collection Sun and Collection Moon, on December 9, 2016, many new items of TCG paraphernalia were available to purchase. These included card files, playmats, card sleeves, and several other storage solutions.
Carrying case: The Solgaleo & Lunala Carrying Case (Japanese: キャリングケース「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」) features several molded partitions to store up to 1,300 cards. Larger partitions can also be used to store deck cases and other accessories. Each case comes with a set of 11 card dividers and an index sticker sheet. The box design features silver outlines of Solgaleo and Lunala against a blue background.

Card boxes: Each card box comes packaged with a set of 54 basic Energy cards (6 copies of 9 types) using the new Sun & Moon Era layout and enough space to store 250 cards in sleeves, or 500 loose cards. Three card dividers are also supplied to aid organization.
- The Solgaleo & Lunala Card Box (Japanese: カードボックス「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」（エネルギーカード付き） Card Box: Solgaleo•Lunala (including Energy Card)) features artwork by Hiroyuki Yamamoto that portrays the Pokémon Sun and Moon mascots Solgaleo and Lunala.
- The Rowlet, Litten & Popplio Card Box (Japanese: カードボックス「モクロー・ニャビー・アシマリ」（エネルギーカード付き） Card Box: Mokuroh•Nyabby•Ashimari (including Energy Card)) also has artwork by 5ban Graphics and features the Alola first partner Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. This box could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores.
A supplemental Card Tidy Up Box (Japanese: カードお片付けBOX) was also available exclusively through the Pokémon Center Online with special Sun & Moon Starter bundle sets. Of the six bundles for sale, three contained 1 of the Sun & Moon Starter Sets plus 5 Collection Sun and 5 Collection Moon booster packs, while the other three included 2 different Sun & Moon Starter Sets in all combinations. The box features Pikachu, the Alola first partner Pokémon, and their final evolutions.

Deck case: The Solgaleo & Lunala Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」) was the only new deck case released, which includes two card dividers and space to store at least 90 cards in sleeves, or 180 loose cards. This product features the same Solgaleo and Lunala illustration as its card box counterpart.

Playmats:
- The Solgaleo & Lunala Durable Playmat (Japanese: 丈夫なプレイマット「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」), which could be purchased at a wide variety of retailers, contains a complete 2-player play area. Each play area features one of the Pokémon Sun and Moon mascots, utilizing the same Hiroyuki Yamamoto artwork as other SM1 merchandise.
- The Yamada Denki Original Half Playmat (Japanese: ヤマダ電機オリジナル ハーフプレイマット) was given to customers at participating Yamada Denki stores who purchased at least ¥500 worth of eligible Pokémon Card Game products. This single-player playmat features another illustration of Solgaleo and Lunala.

Sleeves: Each pack contains 64 card sleeves.
- The Solgaleo & Lunala Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」 Deck Shield: Solgaleo•Lunala) feature artwork by PLANETA of the Legendary Sunne Pokémon Solgaleo and Legendary Moone Pokémon Lunala.
- The Rowlet, Litten & Popplio Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド「モクロー・ニャビー・アシマリ」 Deck Shield: Mokuroh•Nyabby•Ashimari) recycle the artwork used on the similarly-named card box, featuring Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.
- The Lillie & Cosmog Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド「リーリエ&コスモッグ」 Deck Shield: Lilie & Cosmog) feature Lillie holding Nebby while it sleeps. Premium matte sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールドプレミアム・マット リーリエ＆コスモッグ Deck Shield Premium•Matte: Lilie & Cosmog), a more durable and non-glossy version than the original release, were subsequently available from March 4, 2017. Both sets of sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores.
- The Tropical Party Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド「トロピカル☆パーティ」 Deck Shield: Tropical☆Party) feature an assortment of berries along with fruit-themed Pokémon Steenee, Bounsweet, and Cherubi. These sleeves were illustrated by Saya Tsuruta and were only available at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores.
- The Battle Partner Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド 「バトルパートナー」 Deck Shield: Battle Partner) feature the fully evolved forms of the Generation VII first partner Pokémon: Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina. These sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores.

File: A 4-ring Solgaleo & Lunala Collection File (Japanese: コレクションファイル「ソルガレオ・ルナアーラ」) featuring Solgaleo on the front and Lunala on the reverse was also available to purchase, and includes eight 9-pocket sheets for card display. Additional packs of eight sheets could also be purchased, which also come with Solgaleo and Lunala-themed dividers.

Miscellaneous items: Several other retailers began purchase campaigns in tandem with the release of Collection Sun and Collection Moon at participating stores:
- Lawson: Customers who purchased eligible Pokémon Card Game goods totalling ¥600 or more were given a Solgaleo and Lunala-themed Mini Clear File (Japanese: ミニクリアファイル) for as long as stocks lasted.
- Heiwado: For as long as stocks lasted, customers were given a Clear File (Japanese: クリアファイル) featuring Solgaleo and Lunala when they purchased 1 or a number of Sun & Moon Era products worth at least ¥1,000.
- EDION: Customers purchasing at least ¥1,000 worth of Sun & Moon Era products were given a Battle Log Book (Japanese: 対戦帳) for as long as stocks lasted. The book features Solgaleo and Lunala on the front cover and includes pages for prospective players to record their competitive activity.

Pretend Grunt Pikachu merchandise
A Pokémon Center merchandise campaign began on December 17, 2016 that saw the release of many items featuring Pikachu wearing the uniforms of grunts from the various villainous teams in the core series video games.
Special Box: The Pretend Grunt Pikachu Special Box (Japanese: スペシャルBOX 団員ごっこピカチュウ) is decorated with the various Pikachu used in the campaign and comes packaged with 2 exclusive promotional cards, a set of 64 card sleeves, a deck case, 3 Collection Sun booster packs, and 3 Collection Moon booster packs. The box itself can be used to store cards.

Playmats: Customers purchasing at least 5 booster packs in 1 transaction from any Pokémon Center, Pokémon Store, or from the Pokémon Center Online during the campaign were given 1 or 7 Pretend Grunt Pikachu Half Playmats at random. The front of each playmat features a facing and rear view of a Pikachu in one uniform, while the reverse features the ensemble of Pikachu from the campaign. The playmats are as follows:

Lycanroc Original accessories
Participating Pokémon Card Gym venues hosted GX Battle Meetings between December 17, 2016 and January 31, 2017. These Limited format events required players to use an official Sun & Moon Era pre-constructed deck for a match. Options included the Decidueye-GX Starter Set Grass, the Incineroar-GX Starter Set Fire, the Primarina-GX Starter Set Water, and the Rockruff Full Power Deck. All participants were given an Original Half Playmat (Japanese: オリジナルハーフプレイマット) featuring the Midday Form of Lycanroc. The January 2017 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on December 15, 2017, featured an article named "Pokémon Sun & Moon Alola Newspaper", which included a voucher that could be exchanged at venues for an Original Deck Case (Japanese: オリジナルデッキケース) featuring the same Lycanroc artwork. The voucher could also be exchanged at Pokémon booths present at each 45th Next Generation World Hobby Fair venue held between January 22 and February 12, 2017.

Rotom Pokédex Sleeves
Available to purchase at venues hosting Pokémon Card Gym meetings starting December 26, 2016 were the Rotom Pokédex Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド「ロトム図鑑」 Deck Shield: Rotom Illustrated Encyclopedia), a set of 64 card sleeves featuring a close-up portrait of the Rotom Pokédex.

Original GX Sleeves
In commemoration of the release of Collection Sun and Collection Moon, participating Pokémon Card Gym venues held Special Gym Battle events from January 1 to 31, 2017. Two leagues were available for people to enter: the Elementary School League, limited to those in elementary school and below, and the Open League, which had no age limit. All participants were given 3 random basic Energy cards and 5 Original GX Sleeves (Japanese: オリジナルデッキシールド GX Original Deck Shield: GX). Those placing first following the conclusion of the event were given 30 additional sleeves; those placing second were given 20 more sleeves; and those placing third were given 10 more sleeves.
Welcome Festa merchandise
The first large-scale event of the Sun & Moon Era was the Welcome Festa, held at the Sunshine City Convention Center in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo on January 14, 2017. The event served primarily to introduce aspects of the new TCG generation and comprised three main tournaments: the Sun & Moon Welcome Battle, the Pulverizing Pancake Battle, and the One Day Battle.
All event participants were given a Togedemaru promotional card featuring the Welcome Festa logo, with two more promotional cards available to players who accumulated Play Points by participating in each of the tournaments. 4 points could be redeemed for a Crabrawler promotional card and 8 points could be redeemed for an Oranguru promotional card. In addition to Play Point prizes, some tournaments also had their own prize structure. Players participating in the Sun & Moon Welcome Battle could earn prizes by winning battles: 1 win awarded a Welcome Battle Proof of Victory; 2 wins awarded regular prints of Professor Kukui, Nest Ball, and Big Malasada; and 3 wins awarded an Original Deck Case and Half Playmat featuring Solgaleo and Lunala. The Pulverizing Pancake Battle consisted of a Trading Card Game segment and a Video Game segment, and required a pair of players to enter together. Players received a promotional Rare Candy card for every win in any segment, with a limit of 4 copies per person. Each of these cards also featured a serial code used to redeem a Rare Candy in Japanese region copies of Pokémon Sun and Moon. The top three pairs of the Pulverizing Pancake Battle were also awarded a special version of Rare Candy featuring a foil stamp of their overall position, presented in a Perspex case.

Continuing the trend of the popular Poncho-wearing Pikachu merchandise in the past, the Alolan Vulpix & Vulpix Poncho-wearing Pikachu Special Box (Japanese: スペシャルBOX アローラロコン&ロコンポンチョのピカチュウ ) was released on February 1, 2017. The box comes with 2 promotional cards, featuring Pikachu wearing ponchos resembling the regular and Alolan forms of Vulpix, a set of 64 card sleeves, a deck case, a card box, 1 Collection Sun booster pack, and 1 Collection Moon booster pack.

Champion's League 2017 merchandise
The Champion's League was previously an invite-only tournament that pitted Japan's top performing players of a season against each other, with the last event held in the summer of 2007. 2017 saw the return of the Champion's League, albeit in a format more reminiscent of Battle Road tournaments and the recent Mega Battle events, consisting of regional meetings open to all participants much like Regional Championships outside Japan. These meetings were held throughout 2017, culminating in the Japan National Championships in which the top players earned an invitation to play at the World Championships.
All meetings included pop-up stores offering the latest products, some with exclusive items. Players could earn points by participating in various events held at each meeting and redeem them for prizes. Unlike similar events however, these prizes differed between regional meetings. The first Champion's League meetings of the season were in Osaka, held at MyDome Osaka on February 18 and 19, 2017, and in Miyagi, held at Sunfesta, Sendai on April 1 and 2, 2017. All participants were given a Togedemaru promotional card featuring the Champion's League 2017 logo. Events in which players could earn Play Points included the main Champion's League 2017 tournament, the One Day Battle (held only on the first day), the Sun & Moon Welcome Battle, and the Pulverizing Pancake Battle 2 (both held only on the second day). Players could redeem 4 Play Points for a Crabrawler promotional card, 6 Play Points for a Choice Band promotional card, and 8 Play Points for an Oranguru promotional card. Players participating in the Sun & Moon Welcome Battle could earn prizes by winning battles: 1 win awarded a Proof of Victory or Original Clear File; 2 wins awarded regular prints of Professor Kukui, Nest Ball, and Big Malasada; and 3 wins awarded an Original Deck Case and Half Playmat featuring Solgaleo and Lunala. Players participating in the Pulverizing Pancake Battle 2 could earn a promotional Rare Candy for every win.
The next set of Champion's League meetings were held in tandem with the 2017 Pokémon Card Festa, starting with the Aichi event at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 5, 2017, followed by the Chiba event at Makuhari Messe on May 20 and 21, 2017, and finally another Osaka event at Intex Osaka on May 28, 2017. Available to purchase at each of these venues were a set of exclusive Pokémon Card Festa 2017 Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ポケモンカードフェスタ2017 Deck Shield: Pokémon Card Festa 2017). Each participant was given a Pikachu promotional card featuring the Pokémon Card Festa 2017 logo. Eligible Play Point events included the main Champion's League 2017 tournament, the One Day Battle, the Pokémon Biathlon, the Sylveon Girls Battle (present only at the Osaka venue and on the second day at the Chiba venue), the Shiftry Masters Battle (present only at the Aichi venue and on the first day at the Chiba venue), and the 3 on 3 Battle. Players could redeem 4 Play Points for a Rowlet, Litten, or Popplio promotional card at random. Eight Play Points would earn players a Tsareena-GX promotional card. Players competing in each of the main Champion's League 2017 tournaments could earn either a Lunala or Solgaleo promotional card by performing well.
The Okayama meeting, held at the Cooperative Okayama Prefecture Wholesale Center, was the next to be hosted on May 14, 2017. Another Pikachu promotional card was distributed upon entry here, featuring the same artwork as the one given to attendees of the 2017 Pokémon Card Festa, but with a different collection number and logo. The Pokémon Card Festa 2017 Sleeves were once again available to purchase at this venue, but no Play Point events were hosted. Lunala or Solgaleo could once again be earned by players performing well at this meeting.
A new trophy card was made for the 2017 Champion's League season: Victory Decoration, coming in gold, silver, and bronze varieties. The gold and silver variant were given to those who finished first and second respectively in each available league category at each meeting. The bronze variant was given to those who placed third and fourth. Each print features a foil stamp detailing where the card was awarded, making each regional form unique.
A final Champion's League meeting was held at the Sunshine City Convention Center in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo on June 24, 2017. This event offered players a last chance to earn enough Championship Points to gain entry into the National Championships held the next day at the same venue. A Pikachu promotional card was given to attendees of this event, though no Play Point events were hosted, and no Victory Decoration trophy cards were awarded to the top finishers. The 3 on 3 Battle and League Match Battle side events ran concurrently for those not competing in the main tournament, with a promotional Hala card given to participants of the 3 on 3 Battle. Teams that won at least 2 battles were also given a Choice Band promotional card.

- The Mallow's Cooking! Double Deck Case (Japanese: ダブルデッキケース「MAO'S COOKING！」) includes two deck cases, each with enough space for at least 90 cards, as well as three card dividers. The illustration features Mallow and several Pokémon admiring the food she has prepared.
- The Lycanroc Double Deck Case (Japanese: ダブルデッキケース「ルガルガン」 Double Deck Case: Lugarugan) also includes two deck cases and three card dividers. The main box features a full-color illustration of Lycanroc in both its Midday and Midnight Forms, while the individual deck cases each feature a predominantly black and white illustration of one form, with their eyes providing the only color.

To promote the upcoming twentieth movie in cinemas, the Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆デッキシールド 劇場版ポケットモンスター キミにきめた！ Deck Case & Deck Shield: Pocket Monsters the Movie: I Choose You!) were released on April 15, 2017 exclusively in Pokémon Centers. Each product features Ash and his Pikachu gazing up at Ho-Oh soaring above them as a Rainbow Wing falls to the ground. Participants of Pokémon Card Gym meetings between May and July 2017 were given a set of 5 Hiker Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド やまおとこ Deck Shield: Mountaineer) for as long as stocks lasted. The illustration portrays the dancing Alolan Marowak and Hiker David that occasionally appears unannounced during Kiawe's trial at Wela Volcano Park in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Colorful Flip Deck Cases
The Eevee and Colorful Friends campaign, which ran from May 13 until July 17, 2017 at all Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores nationwide in Japan, saw an abundant release of Eevee and Eeveelution-themed merchandise, as well as the distribution of special Eeveelutions for use in Pokémon Sun and Moon. One facet of this campaign was the Colorful Eevee Collection, among which included chic leather-style flip deck cases featuring relief images of Eevee and its evolutions. Each of these cases can store up to 180 cards.

Rounding off the mainstream TCG releases on June 16, 2017 were a number of specially illustrated deck cases, card sleeves, and files. Deluxe items featuring Lillie and her relatives were subsequently released on June 17, 2017 as part of a Pokémon Center campaign.
Deck cases: Each regular deck case comes with two card dividers and each has enough storage space for at least 90 cards.
- The Marshadow Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース マーシャドー) features the eponymous Gloomdweller Pokémon with its fighting spirit burning in addition to the Legendary Rainbow Pokémon Ho-Oh. Both have prominent roles in the upcoming movie I Choose You!.
- The Lusamine & Nihilego Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド ルザミーネ＆ウツロイド Deck Case & Shield: Lusamine & Uturoid) is a special release that includes a deck case and compliment of 64 card sleeves. Both products portray Lusamine in Ultra Space surrounded by Nihilego.
- The Gladion & Silvally Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド グラジオ＆シルヴァディ Deck Case & Shield: Glazio & Silvady) is another special release that comes packaged with a deck case and a set of 64 card sleeves. Both products feature Gladion and his partner Silvally.

Pokémon Center Tohoku Reopening Deck Case & Sleeves
A Pokémon Center campaign to celebrate the reopening of Pokémon Center Tohoku on June 30, 2017 saw the release of many different items of merchandise. Coinciding with the buildup to Tanabata, the Japanese star festival, the illustrations by sui used on many of the items feature tanzaku, wishes written on strips of paper, as well as Pokémon Center Tohoku mascots Pikachu and Rowlet, and star-related Pokémon Jirachi and Victini. The only TCG-related item released during this campaign were the Pokémon Center Tohoku R Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド ポケモンセンタートウホクR Deck Case & Shield: Pokémon Center Tohoku R), which includes a deck case with space to store at least 90 cards, two card dividers, concomitant with a set of 64 card sleeves.

EDION Limited Stamp Campaign accessories
The EDION Limited Stamp Campaign offered a number of exclusive TCG products that could only be obtained via lotteries. Customers purchasing at least ¥500 worth of Pokémon goods from participating EDION stores across Japan would earn 1 stamp, and would become eligible to enter one of the five scheduled lotteries by earning 3 stamps. The entry periods and lotteries were held on the following dates:
- 1st period: April 21-May 28, 2017. Lottery held on June 16, 2017.
- 2nd period: May 29-August 27, 2017. Lottery held on September 15, 2017.
- 3rd period: August 28-November 19, 2017. Lottery held on December 8, 2017.
- 4th period: November 20, 2017 – February 25, 2018. Lottery held on March 15, 2018.
- 5th period: February 26-March 31, 2018. Lottery held on April 28, 2018.
Each lottery offered 3 different prizes drawn at random. The A prize was an EDION Limited Rubber Half Playmat (Japanese: エディオン限定ラバーハーフプレイマット), which features a design emulating cardboard complete with cut-outs of Pikachu, Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio and hand-drawn annotations. 50 copies of this prize were distributed per lottery. The B prize was an EDION Limited Leather-like Deck Case (Japanese: エディオン限定レザー風デッキケース), a light brown chic leather-style flip deck case featuring a relief of the Generation VII first partner Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. 50 copies of this prize were distributed per lottery. The C prize was a Holofoil Energy Card Set (Japanese: キラエネルギーカードセット), comprising 10 copies each of Mirror Holofoil 
and

To promote the release of I Choose You! in cinemas, new card files and sleeves were made available to purchase from July 15, 2017.
Sleeves: Running concurrent with the Pikachu in a cap distributions, each of these sleeves feature Ash's Pikachu wearing one of Ash's hats from different periods in his adventures. All have muted colors and are presented like postcards complete with mock franking marks. Each pack contains 64 sleeves, and all variants were exclusive to Pokémon Centers.

- The Rotom Pokédex Mini Card File (Japanese: ミニカードファイル ロトム図鑑 Mini Card File: Rotom Illustrated Encyclopedia) features the Rotom Pokédex and many native Alolan Pokémon. The front illustration is of a forest scene with a Pokémon Center, while the reverse is that of a beach scene.
- The front illustration of the Lana's Holiday Mini Card File (Japanese: ミニカードファイル スイレンの休日 Mini Card File: Suiren's Holiday) features Lana looking out to sea accompanied by several Water-type Pokémon. The reverse illustration features Mallow serving a meal while Kiawe looks at it questionably. Mallow's Steenee and Kiawe's Marowak are also present.

Toys "R" Us Original Deck Case
Starting July 15, 2017, customers at participating Toys "R" Us stores in Japan who purchased at least ¥1,000 worth of eligible Pokémon Card Game merchandise received a Toys "R" Us Original Deck Case (Japanese: トイザらス オリジナルデッキケース). The case features a PLANETA illustration of Solgaleo and Lunala on the front, used on many prior products, and the four Alolan guardian deities on the reverse. The case was limited to 5,000 copies nationwide and the purchase campaign ran for as long as stock lasted.

Pokémon Card Gym Summer Festa 2017 merchandise
Participating Pokémon Card Gym venues across Japan held Summer Festa 2017 events between July 15 and August 31, 2017. The campaign was aimed at introducing children in elementary school and below to the TCG and encouraged them to interact with others. Two SM-P Promotional cards could be earned by taking part in the event. Winners of the rock-paper-scissors game held at the conclusion of each event were also given an exclusive 2-player playmat featuring Pikachu and Tapu Koko. The playmat also has the Summer Festa 2017 campaign logo in one corner.

July 29, 2017 marked the beginning of a Pokémon Center campaign in which a wide variety of items featuring traditional aspects of Japanese design were released. Some TCG-related items were available to purchase among these, including deck cases and card sleeves.
Deck case: The Rowlet Japanese Design Flip Deck Case (Japanese: フリップデッキケース 和柄 モクロー Flip Deck Case: Japanese Design: Mokuroh), made from a chirimen-like material, features a color-contrasting pattern consisting of Rowlet shown from multiple angles. Following the release of the Awakened Heroes and Ultradimensional Beasts expansion, Pokémon Centers across Japan held Ultra Beast GX Battle events on September 16 through to 18, 2017. The events on the 16th and 18th were Open Leagues with no age limit, whereas the event on the 17th was an Elementary School and Below League. All participants were given a red GX marker, referencing the new Ultra Beast Pokémon-GX that debuted in the recent expansion. Those recording at least 3 wins at a single event were awarded either an Awakened Heroes booster pack, an Ultradimensional Beasts booster pack, or a pack of 64 Red GX Sleeves (Japanese: 赤いGXのデッキシールド Red GX Deck Shield) at random.

Champion's League 2018 merchandise
The first Champion's League meeting of the 2017-2018 season was held in Yokohama at the Pacifico Yokohama on September 3, 2017. All attendees were given a Tapu Koko promotional card featuring the Champion's League 2018 logo upon entry. Attendees could also earn Play Points by participating in one or more events held as part of the meeting and redeem them for prizes. Such events included the official Champion's League 2018 tournament, the One Day Battle, The Masked Royal 100 Card Competition Final, and the 3 on 3 Battle. Upon reaching 4 Play Points, players could earn 1 of 9 Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random. At 8 Play Points, players could select to redeem either an Espeon-GX or Umbreon-GX promotional card.
The next Champion's League meetings were held at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on March 21, 2018 and at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza, Kyoto on April 21, 2018. Each participant of these meetings was given a promotional Lycanroc card featuring the Champion's League 2018 logo upon entry. Players could earn Play Points by participating in events held at each meeting and earn more by performing well in a given event. Eligible events included the official Champion's League 2018 tournament, the Flight Battle, the Nagoya Open (present only at the Nagoya venue), the Kyoto Open (present only at the Kyoto venue), and the 3 on 3 Battle. Players could redeem 4 Play Points for a promotional Marshadow card. Upon reaching 6 Play Points, players could redeem 1 of 9 Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random. At 8 Play Points, players could redeem 1 of 3 promotional cards of their choice: Espeon-GX, Umbreon-GX, or Necrozma-GX.
At all meetings, Junior competitors in the main Champion's League 2018 tournament who reached the Premier Stage, as well as Senior and Master competitors who placed in the top 64, earned a promotional print of Bodybuilding Dumbbells. A set of exclusive card sleeves (Japanese: オリジナルデッキシールド Original Deck Shield) were also awarded to Junior competitors who went on to reach the Climax Stage, as well as Senior and Master competitors who placed in the top 32. Victory Decoration trophy cards were also awarded to the top 4 players in each league category at each venue.

Poké Ball Rubber Playmat
Launched in tandem with the first Champion's League event of the 2017-2018 season on September 3, 2017, the Poké Ball Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ラバープレイマット モンスターボール Rubber Playmat: Monster Ball) could be purchased at the host venue, the Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, or at Pokémon Centers. The mat contains the necessary areas for 1 player and features a simple Poké Ball design.

Pokémon Yurutto accessories
Pokémon Yurutto was a collaborative campaign between The Pokémon Company and kanahei, a popular sticker illustrator in Japan, that saw the manufacture of merchandise featuring numerous Pokémon drawn in kanahei's style. Several TCG-related items were released through the campaign, which included deck cases and card sleeves. All items were available from Pokémon Centers from September 16, 2017.
Deck cases: Each deck case comes with two card dividers and each has enough storage space for at least 90 cards.
- The Pokémon Yurutto: Sea Play Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース Pokémon Yurutto うみあそび) features Pikachu and Dedenne relaxing by a beach while various other Pokémon play around them.
- The Pokémon Yurutto: Forest Walk Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース Pokémon Yurutto もりさんぽ) features Pikachu and Dedenne hanging from a Drifloon in a forest populated by various Pokémon.

Poncho-wearing Eevee Sleeves

Ultra Alola Adventure Deck Case & Sleeves
Leading up to the release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the Ultra Alola Adventure Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース&シールド Ultra Alola Adventure Deck Case & Shield: Ultra Alola Adventure) were made available from November 11, 2017. The card box and set of 64 sleeves that come with it both feature protagonists Elio and Selene in their updated attire, version mascots Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma, as well as first partner Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio in front of an Ultra Wormhole. The card box itself can store 90 cards in sleeves or 180 cards without sleeves, and also comes with 2 dividers.

Champion's League 2018 1st Certified Tournament merchandise
Players competing in the 1st Certified Champion's League 2018 Tournament, held at the Sunshine City Convention Center in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo on November 26, 2017 received a Welcome Kit upon paying the entry fee of ¥4,000. This kit included a promotional Tapu Koko card and exclusive Ho-Oh-themed merchandise, including a Ho-Oh Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ラバープレイマット ホウオウ Rubber Playmat: Houou) and Ho-Oh Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ホウオウ Deck Shield: Houou). People visiting the venue could also purchase other items at the pop-up Pokémon Center. These included:

Players participating in the tournament itself could earn prizes by performing well. The top 64 players earned a promotional print of Bodybuilding Dumbbells and a number of Championship Points relative to their overall position. Those placing in the top 32 would earn original sleeves in addition to the other prizes. Victory Decoration cards were also awarded to the top 4 players of the tournament. Players could also participate in a number of side events held at the venue in effort to accumulate Play Points and exchange them for exclusive prizes. These side events differed to previous events in which Play Points could be won, requiring attendees to purchase Play Tickets to become eligible for entry into an event. 1 Play Ticket came with an Expansion Pack Set, containing 1 Awakened Heroes booster pack and 1 Ultradimensional Beasts booster pack, which could be purchased at the venue. Earning at least 1 Play Point would earn players a commemorative coin featuring a VS design, previously available in the Battle Gift Set: Thundurus vs Tornadus, albeit gold-colored. 2 Play Points would earn players an event-exclusive clear file featuring Ho-Oh and 4 Play Points would earn players packs of 10 event-exclusive card sleeves featuring the event logo. Upon reaching 8 Play Points, players could redeem a special Marshadow promotional card. At 12 Play Points, players could redeem 1 of 9 Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random. 24 Play Points gave players the choice to redeem either an Espeon-GX or Umbreon-GX promotional card, ultimately followed by a Sunshine Aquarium Annual Passport as the top prize, available to redeem at 36 Play Points.

Similar to the Premium Trainer Box released for the Collection Sun and Collection Moon expansions, the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box (Japanese: プレミアムトレーナーボックス ウルトラサン・ウルトラムーン) includes an array of items for play and storage, a stock of basic Energy cards, and a set of distinctively numbered Trainer and Special Energy cards from both the XY BREAK and Sun & Moon Eras. The box also comes with 10 Ultra Sun booster packs and 10 Ultra Moon booster packs.

Participating Joshin stores in Japan also ran an Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon promotion that began on December 8, 2017. Customers who purchased in any combination of 30 Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon booster packs received an exclusive Joshin Limited Storage Box (Japanese: ジョーシン限定ストレージボックス) featuring Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma. The box has a storage capacity of 750 unsleeved cards or 400 cards in sleeves. The promotion ran for as long as stock lasted.

Elite Four Playmat
On January 8, 2018, the Pokémon Company chose the four best Japanese representatives of the TCG for the 2016-2017 season to be the 2017 Pokémon Card Game Elite Four. As members of the Elite Four, these ambassadors would have their names and pictures present at official Pokémon Card Game Stations, would participate in interviews, receive invitations to official events, receive products before general release, and receive an exclusive Elite Four Playmat (Japanese: 四天王プレイマット The Big Four Playmat), which features the Pokémon Card Game Elite Four logo against a black background. Qualifying tournaments were held throughout the year to decide the 2018 Elite Four lineup.

January 20, 2018 saw the start of the Team Rainbow Rocket's Ambition campaign in Japan, which among its special distributions, also included a plethora of villainous team-related merchandise. Associated TCG products included seven Pretend Boss Pikachu SM-P Promotional cards and seven sets of card sleeves, each focusing on the primary antagonists from core series titles. All sleeves come in packs of 64 and were exclusive to Pokémon Centers.

Also available from most retailers on February 16, 2018 were two packs of specially illustrated sleeves for card protection. Each pack contains 64 sleeves; enough for a full deck plus spares. These included:

At a cost of ¥10,800 plus tax, this large item comes with 2 Forbidden Light booster boxes (a total of 60 packs) and 3 accessories not procurable elsewhere:
- A Large Capacity Card Box (Japanese: 大容量カードボックス) with storage space for up to 1,400 cards featuring an illustration of Ultra Necrozma.

Participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations across Japan held Pokémon Card Day events on a set Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the months of March, April, and May in 2018. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Buzzwole Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: マッシブーン オリジナルラバープレイマット Massivoon Original Rubber Playmat), which features a Hiroyuki Yamamoto illustration of the Swollen Pokémon in action. The playmat was available again as a random prize to winners of competitions held between April 29 and May 6, 2019 as part of Golden Week celebrations at participating venues.

Pokémon Center Tokyo DX Special Box
In celebration of the opening of Pokémon Center Tokyo DX on March 14, 2018, many items of memorabilia were made available to purchase. The majority of these items featured Pikachu clad in outfits resembling the various cultures that have bloomed in Tokyo throughout its history. One of these items was the Pokémon Center Tokyo DX Special Box (Japanese: スペシャルBOX ポケモンセンタートウキョーDX), which has an ensemble illustration by Kouki Saitou featuring the aforementioned Pikachu, as well as the Pokémon Center DX mascot Mew among others. The box itself can store up to 720 cards and comes packaged with 2 exclusive promotional cards, 5 Forbidden Light booster packs, a set of 64 card sleeves, plus a deck case featuring a stylized Pikachu Walking Map of Nihonbashi and surrounding locales.

The Riding on Lapras campaign began in Pokémon Centers across Japan on April 7, 2018 and saw the release of many decorative and functional items of merchandise adorned with various depictions of a Pikachu travelling the world on a Lapras delivering gifts. All illustrations used in the campaign were created by Sanosuke Sakuma. Starting April 25, 2018, Pokémon Centers across Japan began a commemoration campaign to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the first Pokémon Center in Nihombashi, Tokyo, which opened the same day in 1998. The sole TCG item of merchandise amongst those available were the Pokémon Center 20th Anniversary Commemoration Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド ポケモンセンター20周年記念 Deck Case & Shield: Pokémon Center 20th Anniversary Commemoration), which feature the campaign mascots Pikachu and Shaymin, as well as the first partner Pokémon from as of then all 7 generations. Ultra Necrozma Paper Playmat
From May 12 to 31, 2018, participating CARDBOX stores across Japan hosted Pokémon TCG events in which people could earn prizes. Two events were available to enter at each store—the Beginner Battle, tailored for those new to the TCG, and the Gym Battle, intended for anyone with knowledge of how to play. All participants of the Gym Battle were given a 2-player Ultra Necrozma Paper Playmat (Japanese: ウルトラネクロズマ 紙製プレイマット), featuring artwork of Ultra Necrozma used on prior products. Pokémon Card Day events were held at participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations on a set Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in June, July, and August 2018. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Dusk Mane Necrozma Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: 日食ネクロズマ オリジナルラバープレイマット), which features a Hiroyuki Yamamoto illustration of Dusk Mane Necrozma against a half-destroyed interpretation of the Altar of the Sunne. The playmat was available again as a random prize to winners of competitions held between April 29 and May 6, 2019 as part of Golden Week celebrations at participating venues.

Pokémon Japan Championships 2018 merchandise
The final domestic event of the 2017-2018 season was the 2018 Pokémon Japan Championships, held on June 9 and 10, 2018 at the Makuhari Messe convention center, Tokyo. This event was the last chance for players to earn enough Championship Points to qualify for the 2018 World Championships held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee later in the year.
Exclusive merchandise could be purchased from vendors present at the venue, which featured the Pokémon ensemble as illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga and the event logo. These included T-shirts, card sleeves, pouches, and muffler towels. All attendees were given an Ultra Necrozma promotional card featuring the event logo upon entry. Attendees could also earn Play Points by participating in one or more tournaments held as part of the event and redeem them for prizes. These included the main Japan Championships, the Special Cup (held only on the second day), and the Flight Battle. Upon reaching 2 Play Points, attendees could redeem 1 of 2 original stickers featuring the event artwork at random. At 4 Play Points, attendees could earn a Marshadow promotional card. Redeeming 6 Play Points would earn attendees 1 of 9 Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random in addition to an Original Clear File featuring the event artwork. Redeeming 8 Play Points would earn attendees an Original Microfiber Cloth featuring the event artwork and their choice of 1 of 3 promotional cards: Espeon-GX, Umbreon-GX, or Necrozma-GX.
More items were awarded in the main Japan Championships tournament to players who performed well. Junior players who reached the Second Stage during the first qualifying round, as well as Senior and Master players who placed in the top 64 of the qualifying round, earned a promotional print of Bodybuilding Dumbbells. A set of card sleeves bearing a Poké Ball shield, an Original Cap featuring the event logo, and a navy blue version of the T-shirt available to purchase to all attendees were also awarded to Junior players who went on to reach the second qualifying round, as well as Senior and Master players who made the top cut following the conclusion of the qualifying round.

Night Parade of One Hundred Pokémon accessories
Inspired by the Japanese concept Hyakki Yakō, or Night Parade of One Hundred Demons, the Night Parade of One Hundred Pokémon campaign (stylized as 百ポケ夜行 Hyaku Poké Yakō) began in Pokémon Centers across Japan on June 23, 2018. The campaign saw the release of many traditional items of merchandise, such as folding fans, wood straps, chopsticks, and a paper theatre, all in part featuring the Pokémon montage as illustrated by kawayoo. Many of the Pokémon representing the campaign are based on creatures or themes from Japanese folklore. A number of TCG accessories were also available as part of the campaign:

Beginner Playmat
Starting early July 2018 for as long as stocks lasted, people were given numerous items of merchandise for participating in Pokémon Card Game Classroom events held at Pokémon Card Stations. Pokémon Card Game Classrooms are designed to introduce players to the TCG and were typically held every day or upon request, providing the venue had the capacity. These items included a 2-player Beginner Playmat (Japanese: プレイマット), which includes annotations to guide new players, an Eevee promotional card, deck sheets, and stamp cards. The Pokémon Card Stations were present at the Tokyo Bay and Osaka Pokémon Centers.
The playmat was also available at stores designated Pokémon Card Friendly Shops starting July 13, 2018. Customers purchasing at least 1 GX Starter Deck were given a Beginner Playmat and a blue coin featuring Energy symbols.

TSUTAYA Pokémon Card Step Up Campaign accessories
Participating TSUTAYA stores across Japan began the Pokémon Card Step Up Campaign on July 13, 2018 in conjunction with the release of the GX Starter Decks. Customers who purchased at least 1 deck were given a stamp card, which could be filled by meeting certain criteria at stores. Customers purchasing 1 booster pack from a main expansion or 2 booster packs from a subset would earn 1 stamp. A maximum of 3 stamps per day could be earned in this way. Customers battling in the competition space at certain stores could also earn an additional stamp per day. Upon reaching 5 stamps, customers could redeem a special Metagross coin. At 10 stamps, customers could redeem a 2-player Special Playmat (Japanese: 特製プレイマット) featuring Charizard. At 20 stamps, customers could redeem a Poké Ball-themed Special Deck Case (Japanese: 特製デッキケース) complete with Great Ball and Ultra Ball-themed card dividers. Upon reaching the full 30 stamps, customers could redeem a Special Card Box (Japanese: 特製カードボックス) featuring the guardian deities. The campaign ran until September 30, 2018, though all items were given away on a first come, first served basis.

EDION Limited Stamp Campaign 2 accessories
A second EDION Limited Stamp Campaign was held in 2018 and offered similar exclusive TCG products to the one held in 2017. Customers purchasing at least ¥500 worth of eligible Pokémon goods from participating EDION and 100 Full Volt stores across Japan would earn 1 stamp, and would become eligible to enter one of five scheduled lotteries by earning 3 stamps. The entry periods and lotteries were held on the following dates:
- 1st period: April 20-June 14, 2018. Lottery held on July 13, 2018.
- 2nd period: June 15-August 14, 2018. Lottery held on September 7, 2018.
- 3rd period: August 15-November 14, 2018. Lottery held on December 7, 2018.
- 4th period: November 15, 2018 – January 14, 2019. Lottery held on February 1, 2019.
- 5th period: January 15-March 31, 2019. Lottery held on April 15, 2019.
Each lottery offered 3 different prizes drawn at random. The A prize was an EDION Limited Leather-like Double Deck Case (Japanese: エディオン限定 レザー風ダブルデッキケース), a brown chic leather-style flip deck case featuring a Poké Ball relief on the front and Energy symbol reliefs on the reverse. Each case has a storage capacity of 360 cards. 50 copies of this prize were distributed per lottery. The B prize was an EDION Limited Half Playmat (Japanese: エディオン限定 ハーフプレイマット), which features a striped pattern and two Pikachu. 50 copies of this prize were distributed per lottery. Super-Burst Impact Pokémon Center Limited Set
Coinciding with the general release of the Super-Burst Impact expansion on September 7, 2018 was the Super-Burst Impact Pokémon Center Limited Set (Japanese: 超爆インパクト ポケモンセンター限定セット), which could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and on the Pokémon Center Online. This premium set contains 2 Super-Burst Impact booster boxes as well as 3 accessories with designs reflecting the Johto theme of the main expansion:
- A Large Capacity Card Box (Japanese: 大容量カードボックス) featuring Lugia and Blacephalon, two Pokémon included as Pokémon-GX in the expansion. The box has capacity to store up to 1,400 cards.
- The Whitney & Miltank Deck Case (Japanese: デッキシールド アカネ＆ミルタンク Deck Case: Akane & Miltank) and matching set of 64 Whitney & Miltank Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド アカネ＆ミルタンク Deck Shield: Akane & Miltank) feature Gym Leader Whitney and her Miltank. The deck case can store 180 cards and comes with 2 card dividers. The illustration on these products was drawn by Hitoshi Ariga.

SM8 accessories
Also released in conjunction with Super-Burst Impact, the eighth main expansion of the Sun & Moon Era, were a number of other TCG-related items.
Card box: The Lusamine Family Long Card Box (Japanese: ロングカードボックス ルザミーネファミリー) was available exclusively at Pokémon Card Gym meetings. Customers who purchased at least 1 booster box of a main expansion and 1 booster box of a subset at participating venues were given this card box for as long as supplies lasted. The box features Lusamine now seemingly at peace with her children Lillie and Gladion. Lillie sleeps holding a Poké Doll while Lusamine affectionately looks on. The short faces of the box feature the Aether Foundation emblem.

Deck case: The Lugia Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ルギア) was the only new deck case released. It comes with 2 card dividers and has space to store at least 90 cards in sleeves, or 180 loose cards. The case features the same Hiroyuki Yamamoto illustration of Lugia as those used on Super-Burst Impact boosters.

Playmat: The single-player Lugia Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ラバープレイマット ルギア) features the same Lugia artwork utilized on other items of merchandise available at this time and was only available to purchase at venues hosting Pokémon Card Gym meetings.

Sleeves: Each pack contains 64 card sleeves.
- The Lugia Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ルギア Deck Shield: Lugia) feature the Legendary Diving Pokémon Lugia emerging from the sea.
- The Suicune Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド スイクン Deck Shield: Suicune) feature the Legendary Pokémon atop a rock with an aurora in the background in an illustration by Mitsuhiro Arita. These sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and at Pokémon Card Stations.
- The Blacephalon Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ズガドーン Deck Shield: Zugadoon) feature the Fireworks Pokémon in a medieval-inspired woodcut-style illustration. These sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and at Pokémon Card Stations.
- The Lusamine Family Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ルザミーネファミリー Deck Shield: Lusamine Family) feature the same Ken Sugimori illustration of Lusamine and her children Lillie and Gladion as the card box of the same name. These sleeves could only be purchased at venues hosting Pokémon Card Gym meetings.

Files: Each 4-ring collection file comes with ten 9-pocket sheets for card display and protection, with capacity to store many more.
- The Alola All-Stars Collection File (Japanese: コレクションファイル アローラオールスターズ) features a variety of popular Generation VII Pokémon. The front of the file depicts Necrozma in the various forms it can attain in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The reverse features guardian deities Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini, as well as Ultra Beasts Stakataka and Naganadel. Additional packs of refill sheets could also be purchased separately, which also come with dividers featuring the same illustrations.
- Promoting the upcoming releases of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! was the Pikachu & Eevee Collection File (Japanese: コレクションファイル ピカチュウ＆イーブイ Collection File: Pikachu & Eievui), which features a large illustration of the Mouse and Evolution Pokémon on the front and reverse, respectively. This file was exclusive to Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and Pokémon Card Stations. The file was made available again from May 31, 2019 in the same manner due to popular demand.

Giratina Original Rubber Playmat
Participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations across Japan held Pokémon Card Day events on a set Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the months of September, October, and November in 2018. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Giratina Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ギラティナ オリジナルラバープレイマット), which features a Hiroyuki Yamamoto illustration of the Renegade Pokémon in the Distortion World. The first of these events began simultaneously with the release of the Super-Burst Impact expansion on September 7, 2018. The playmat was available again as a random prize to winners of competitions held between April 29 and May 6, 2019 as part of Golden Week celebrations at participating venues.

2018 Championship Point merchandise
The domestic Japanese TCG structure underwent an overhaul during the 2017-2018 season, with Premier Events similar to those held outside Japan offering players more opportunities to earn Championship Points and ultimately, an invitation to prestigious competitions such as the World Championships. Championship Points could be earned by players for participating in and performing well in numerous events held throughout the season, which included all 2018 Champion's League meetings, the 2018 Champion's League 1st Certified Tournament, City Leagues, Trainer's Leagues, Station Leagues, and the 2018 Japan Championships. As an added incentive, players who accumulated a certain number of points over the course of the season could earn exclusive prizes. At 60 points, players would earn a set of 2 coins featuring Lucario and Manaphy. At 120 points, players would earn a Player's Ceremony promotional Stadium card. At 240 points, players would receive a set of 64 card sleeves featuring a Pokémon ensemble in addition to the lower point bracket prizes. Fittingly, many of the Pokémon featured on the sleeves were cards used in popular decks during the season. Players accumulating 400 Championship Points would automatically qualify for entry into the 2018 World Championships. Points could be earned up to August 31, 2018 and would reset thereafter for the beginning of the 2018-2019 season.

Champion's League 2019 merchandise
The first Champion's League meeting of the 2018-2019 season was held in Tokyo at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center on September 16, 2018. This meeting had an accompanying theme, as did those held later in the season. The theme for the Tokyo meeting was Lugia is Coming! (Japanese: ～ルギアがやってくる！～), which featured a large Lugia balloon complete with trading card-style border and smoke emitters as the venue's centerpiece, mimicking the Lugia-GX card available in the then recently released Super-Burst Impact expansion. All competitors were given a Poipole promotional card featuring the 2019 Championship Series logo upon entry. Competitors could also earn Play Points by participating in various corner events at the meeting and redeem them for prizes. These events included Festival Park, the GX Starter Deck Limited Battle, the 4-League Battle, and the 3 on 3 Battle. Competitors could redeem 4 Play Points for a promotional Marshadow card, previously available as a redemption prize in Champion's League 2018 meetings. Upon reaching 6 Play Points, competitors could redeem 1 of 9 prior Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random. At 8 Play Points, competitors could redeem 1 of 5 promotional cards of their choice. Espeon-GX, Umbreon-GX, and Necrozma-GX were all available as redemption prizes in the previous season, while Leafeon-GX and Glaceon-GX were new for the 2018-2019 season.
The next Champion's League meeting of the season was held in Niigata at Toki Messe on December 2, 2018 and had the theme Let's Go See Pikachu and Eevee! (Japanese: ～ピカチュウ・イーブイに会いに行こう！～), which had costumed Pikachu and Eevee present at the venue. The same Poipole promotional card was given to participants of the main tournament and the same Play Point rewards were available as those at the Tokyo meeting. Eligible corner events at the Niigata meeting included the 4-League Battle and the 3 on 3 Battle.
The final Champion's League meeting of the season was held in Kyoto at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza on April 14, 2019 and had the theme Detective Pikachu Appears! (Japanese: ～名探偵ピカチュウあらわる！～). The centerpiece of this venue included a photo spot of Ryme City building facades complete with an interactive Detective Pikachu. All participants of the main tournament at this meeting were given a Meltan promotional card. The rules regarding Play Point redemption changed starting with the Kyoto event. Previously, competitors could accumulate Play Points and redeem them for multiple copies of one point bracket prize (for example, 8 Play Points could be exchanged for one 8-Point prize or two 4-Point prizes). This was changed so that each subsequent point bracket included prizes from the preceding bracket. At the Kyoto event, competitors could redeem 2 Play Points for a set of stickers featuring focal Tag Teams from the Tag Bolt, Double Blaze, and GG End sets. 4 Play Points awarded the stickers and a promotional Jirachi card. 10 Play Points would earn competitors 1 of 9 prior Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random, the Jirachi card, and the stickers. At 14 Play Points, competitors could earn 1 of 6 promotional Pokémon-GX cards of their choice, a random Mirror Holofoil Energy card, a Jirachi card, and the set of stickers. Sylveon-GX was added to the selection of cards available in previous top point bracket prizes. Eligible events included the main Champion's League tournament in addition to the 4-League Battle and the Elementary School and Below Limited Battle corner events. Participants of the corner events were also entered into a lottery to win 1 of 50 copies of a Damage Counter Purse (Japanese: がま口ダメカンケース Gamaguchi: Damage Counter Case), a metal snap frame purse with stitched Energy symbols. Pokémon Card Club stickers (Japanese: 「ポケカ部」ステッカー) were also given out by attendants.
At all meetings, Junior competitors in the main Champion's League 2019 tournament who reached the Second Stage of the qualifying round, as well as Senior and Master competitors who placed in the top 64 following the qualification round, earned a promotional print of Escape Board. A set of exclusive card sleeves (Japanese: オリジナルデッキシールド Original Deck Shield) were also awarded to Junior competitors who went beyond the qualifying round (Climax Stage), as well as Senior and Master competitors who placed in the top 32 following the qualification round. Victory Decoration trophy cards were also awarded to the top 4 players in each league category at each venue.
Sets of 64 exclusive Strong Battle Veterans Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド 歴戦の強者達 Deck Shield: Strong Battle Veterans) were also available to purchase at all venues for ¥720 plus tax. These sleeves feature the 2019 Championship Series logo, N, Skyla, and a number of Pokémon, including Shaymin, Yveltal, and Mega Rayquaza.

Card box: The Great Gathering! Card Box (Japanese: カードボックス「大集合！」（エネルギーカード付き） Card Box: "Great Gathering!" (including Energy Card)) features stock artwork of Rayquaza, Ultra Necrozma, Mimikyu, Pikachu, Zeraora, and Poipole. The box has enough storage space for 500 loose cards or 250 cards in sleeves and comes with 3 dividers featuring the same Pokémon on the box art. The box also come with a set of basic Energy cards—6 copies of each type—for a total of 54.

Sleeves: Pokémon Centers across Japan began to sell sets of 64 Battle Chatelaine Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド バトルシャトレーヌ Deck Shield: Battle Chatelaine). These sleeves feature Battle Chatelaines Nita, Dana, Evelyn, and Morgan together with a Pokémon from each of their initial teams.

Playmat case: Participating Pokémon Card Gym venues distributed an exclusive Pokémon Card Gym Limited Playmat Case (Japanese: ポケモンカードジム限定プレイマットケース) to people who purchased at least 2 GX Ultra Shiny booster boxes in 1 transaction. The case is a toggle bag featuring various Poké Ball designs that can securely hold a rolled-up playmat.

Pokémon Center Yokohama Special Box
A number of items with a nautical theme were made available for the Riding on the Sea Breeze campaign, which ran from November 9 to December 2, 2018 in celebration of the reopening of Pokémon Center Yokohama. Two promotional cards featuring the campaign mascots were available as purchase gifts and a further two were included in the Pokémon Center Yokohama Special Box (Japanese: スペシャルBOX ポケモンセンターヨコハマ), which could be purchased from Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and the Pokémon Center Online from the start of the campaign. In addition to the cards, the box also contains a deck case with space to store up to 180 cards, a set of 64 card sleeves, and 2 GX Ultra Shiny booster packs. The box itself features an ensemble illustration by Kouki Saitou.

Pokémon Pika & Vee Deck Case & Sleeves
Available from Pokémon Centers in tandem with the worldwide release of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! on November 16, 2018 were the Pokémon Pika & Vee Deck Case & Sleeves (Japanese: デッキケース＆シールド ポケモン ピカ・ブイ Deck Case & Shield: Pokémon Pika•Vui). The deck case features the same Pikachu and Eevee artwork that adorns the boxes of the paired games and has capacity to store 180 cards. The box comes packaged with 2 card dividers and a pack of 64 sleeves that feature a forest scene from the official game art with the player characters and their first partner Pokémon.

Flareon-GX Starter Set Fire

In a similar vein to the Sun & Moon Starter Sets released at the start of the Sun & Moon Era, 3 more Starter Sets were made available from November 23, 2018 shortly after the worldwide release of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. Each pre-constructed deck focuses on the Evolution Pokémon Eevee and one of its Generation I evolutions. The first of these was the Flareon-GX Starter Set Fire (Japanese: スターターセット 炎のブースターGX Starter Set: Fire BoosterGX), which features the Flame Pokémon Flareon and Eevee as Pokémon-GX plus a handful of cards that support Fire-type Pokémon, such as Kiawe and Fiery Flint. The deck comes with 44 damage counters, 2 status markers, 1 GX marker, a rulebook, a player's guide, a coin, and a playmat.

Vaporeon-GX Starter Set Water

The second of three Starter Sets available from November 23, 2018 was the Vaporeon-GX Starter Set Water (Japanese: スターターセット 水のシャワーズGX Starter Set: Water ShowersGX). As the first expansion of a new block within the Sun & Moon Era, the release of Tag Bolt on December 7, 2018 also saw the release of the Tag Team GX Premium Trainer Box (Japanese: プレミアムトレーナーボックス TAG TEAM GX). The box contains higher quality versions of TCG necessities such as damage counters and status markers as well as card sleeves, a coin, and a selection of basic Energy cards. Unlike previous Premium Trainer Boxes, this one contains an assortment of popular Pokémon cards in addition to the usual Trainer cards. The box also comes with 20 Tag Bolt booster packs.

- The Gengar & Mimikyu Tag Team GX Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ゲンガー＆ミミッキュ TAG TEAM GX Deck Case: Gangar & Mimikkyu Tag Team GX) features colorful outline illustrations of the Shadow Pokémon Gengar and the Disguise Pokémon Mimikyu. This case could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.

Greninja Original Rubber Playmat
Starting simultaneously with the release of the Tag Bolt expansion, participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations across Japan held Pokémon Card Day events on set Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout December 2018, and in January and February 2019. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Greninja Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ゲッコウガ オリジナルラバープレイマット), which features a Hiroyuki Yamamoto illustration of the Ninja Pokémon about to strike with Water Shuriken. The playmat was available again as a random prize to winners of competitions held between April 29 and May 6, 2019 as part of Golden Week celebrations at participating venues.

Tag Team GX Energy Packs
December 7, 2018 also saw the release of more Energy Packs, sold exclusively from Pokémon Centers and the Pokémon Center Online. Each pack contains 8 copies of 1 specific type of Energy card featuring the updated design for the Tag Team Pokémon-GX block of the Sun & Moon Era. As with the previous versions, packs retailed for ¥100 plus tax. These included:

Kanto Gym Badges Flip Deck Cases
A pair of chic leather-style flip deck cases were made available exclusively at Pokémon Centers from December 15, 2018. Each of these cases bear reliefs of the eight Kanto Gym Badges required to qualify for the Indigo League in the core series as well as the words "Let's go to the Pokémon League" in English. Each case comes with 2 card dividers featuring silhouettes of the first 151 Pokémon and has space to store 180 cards. Outdoor clothing and bags were also available from the same day bearing the same designs.

Super Nerd Sleeves
A Pokémon Center merchandise campaign began on December 22, 2018 based on the Super Nerd Trainer class from the core series Pokémon games. The illustration commissioned for the campaign depicts two Super Nerds inspired by the Generation I and IV character sprites experimenting in a laboratory. A robotic Pikachu as featured in the Generation IV Super Nerd sprite has run amok after being zapped by a mischievous Rotom, the ensuing chaos surprising and delighting the Pokémon present in equal measure. The campaign saw the release of apparel, key chains, plushes, and other items utilizing elements of the illustration. The only TCG goods available were packs of 64 card sleeves.

Sumi-e Series accessories
January 19, 2019 saw the start of a merchandise campaign that included items featuring Pokémon illustrated in a traditional Japanese sumi-e, or ink wash, style by established sumi-e artist OKAZU. Items available as part of the campaign included cups, saucers, coasters, several varieties of tea, pouches, T-shirts, folding fans, bento boxes, and numerous TCG accessories. Each of the TCG items portray one or a pair of Pokémon in dynamic poses, predominantly in black and white with a splash of color to accent a Pokémon's attributes. These include:

Brock of Pewter City Gym Trainer Battle Deck

Available from January 25, 2019 and further promoting Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! were a pair of Standard Decks focusing on the first two Kanto Gym Leaders players encounter on their adventure. One of these was the Brock of Pewter City Gym Trainer Battle Deck (Japanese: トレーナーバトルデッキ：ニビシティジムのタケシ Trainer Battle Deck: Takeshi of Nibi City Gym), which focuses on Rock-type specialist Brock. The deck includes an assortment of TCG equivalent Fighting-type Pokémon, including Brock's primary Pokémon Onix as a Pokémon-GX, as well as supporting Trainer cards. Each deck includes a set of damage counters and status markers, a GX marker, a coin, a deck box, a playmat, and a set of card sleeves.

Pokémon Centers began selling the Brock VS Misty Full-size Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ラバープレイマット フルサイズ タケシVSカスミ Rubber Playmat: Full-size: Takeshi VS Kasumi) alongside the Trainer Battle Decks on January 25, 2019. This 2-player playmat features artwork of Brock and his Onix in one play area and Misty and her Starmie in the opposite play area. Jewel/BL Pokémon Series accessories
Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, the Pokémon Center Online, and select retailers such as Amazon began selling TCG items with two distinct themes from January 26, 2019. One of these was the Jewel Series, which features Atsuko Nishida illustrations of Pikachu and Eevee accompanied with items of jewelry, gemstones, and the English caption "Until now I have been looking for you." The other was the BL Pokémon Series, which features pixel art renditions of the original 151 Pokémon. Both series include the same selection of accessories.

Champion's League 2019 Certified Tournament merchandise
The Certified Tournament for the 2018-2019 season, and the second overall since its introduction, was held at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on February 17, 2019. Certified Tournaments differ slightly to regular Champion's League meetings in that people wishing to participate are required to pay an entry fee of ¥4,000. All players received a Welcome Kit upon entry, which included a Meltan promotional card and exclusive accessories featuring the Aura Pokémon Lucario and the Hex Nut Pokémon Melmetal, which form a Tag Team pairing in the Full Metal Wall subset. These accessories consisted of a Lucario & Melmetal Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ラバープレイマット ルカリオ＆メルメタル) and Lucario & Melmetal Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ルカリオ＆メルメタル Deck Shield: Lucario & Melmetal). Both feature illustrations by Mitsuhiro Arita. Other exclusive items of merchandise featuring artwork by Hiroyuki Yamamoto could also be purchased at stores present at the tournament. These included:

Players participating in the tournament could also earn prizes by performing well. The top 64 players earned a promotional print of Escape Board while those placing in the top 32 would earn a set of Champion's League 2019 card sleeves (Japanese: オリジナルデッキシールド Original Deck Shield) as well. Victory Decoration cards were awarded to the top 4 players of the tournament. All players earned a number of Championship Points relative to their overall position. Side events were also held at the tournament, in which participants could earn Play Points and exchange them for prizes. Each side event required a number of Play Tickets to enter; 1 Play Ticket was distributed with the purchase of every 2 packs of Full Metal Wall from vendors. Earning at least 1 Play Point gave players the choice to redeem either a gold VS design coin or an event-exclusive poster. 2 Play Points would earn players an event-exclusive clear file featuring Lucario and Melmetal. Upon reaching 4 Play Points, players could redeem either a Marshadow or Jirachi promotional card. At 6 Play Points, players could redeem 1 of 9 Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random. At 8 Play Points, players could redeem 1 of 6 promotional Pokémon-GX cards of their choice. All except Sylveon-GX were available in prior events.

Select retailers and Pokémon Centers across Japan began selling Ultra Beast-themed merchandise from February 23, 2019 in a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and illustrator studio NC Empire. Items available included T-shirts, bags, and several TCG accessories with 3 distinct themes. The Main Art illustration features Buzzwole, Poipole, Nihilego, Guzzlord, Naganadel, and Kartana drawn in dynamic poses with the use of vibrant colors. The Shard illustration features a toned-down version of the Main Art complete with primary color highlights and interspersed shapes. The Nihilego illustration features numerous incarnations of the Parasite Pokémon from different angles as they float in darkness.

A new item in the Deck Build Box line of products was released alongside the Double Blaze expansion on March 1, 2019: the Tag Team GX Deck Build Box (Japanese: デッキビルドBOX「TAG TEAM GX」). Similarly to its predecessors, the box contains a selection of Trainer and Special Energy cards sourced from the Sun & Moon Era that have been widely used in competitive decks plus multiples of each basic Energy card. This selection also includes a Non Holofoil version of Tapu Lele-GX, a card used in many decks, regardless of type synergy, due to its useful Ability. Each box also comes with 10 Double Blaze booster packs.

Gengar & Mimikyu Original Rubber Playmat
Starting March 1, 2019, Pokémon Card Day events were held at participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations on set Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout March, April, and May 2019. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Gengar & Mimikyu Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ゲンガー＆ミミッキュ オリジナルラバープレイマット Gangar & Mimikkyu Original Rubber Playmat), which features a Mitsuhiro Arita illustration of the Tag Team pairing.

Petal Dance Campaign accessories
The Petal Dance Campaign ran from March 16 to April 7, 2019 in celebration of the reopening of Pokémon Center Kyoto, which moved from Kyoto Takashimaya to Kyoto Economy Center Suina Muromachi. This period also coincided with the scheduled bloom dates for hanami in and around Kyoto, hence the theme of the campaign. Numerous items were sold from this date, featuring a male and female Pikachu in ceremonial dress taking part in an informal tea ceremony. A promotional Pikachu card was also given away with any purchase from Pokémon Centers during the campaign. The key visual by Kouki Saitou features many Generation II Pokémon and is set in an interpretation of Ecruteak City, itself inspired by Kyoto. The TCG items available to purchase included:
Deck case: Each chic leather-style Pretend Elegant Tea Ceremony Double Deck Case (Japanese: ダブルデッキケース はんなりお茶会ごっこ) includes two compartments lined with fabric that can each hold a 60-card deck. The lid is secured with magnets.

Let's Meet Pikachu & Eevee! Lots of Gorgeous Prizes Campaign! merchandise
The Let's Meet Pikachu & Eevee! Lots of Gorgeous Prizes Campaign! ran from December 7, 2018 through to February 28, 2019 and offered several tiers of prizes to those wishing to partake. To participate, people were required to affix proof of purchase segments to a competition form downloadable from the official Pokémon Card Game website and send it to The Pokémon Company via post. These proof of purchase segments could be found in the bottom right corner of generic campaign cards included in Tag Bolt booster packs bearing the campaign logo. Participants could affix different numbers of segments depending on which prize draw they wanted to enter: 2 segments qualified for the C prize draw; 10 segments qualified for the B prize draw; 20 segments qualified for the A prize draw; and 40 segments qualified for the special prize draw. All participants were entered into an additional D prize draw. Participants could enter multiple prize draws but could only enter 1 draw per competition form. Entries postmarked after February 28, 2019 were not taken into account. Winners began to receive their prizes in late March 2019. The brackets and possible prizes were as follows:
Special prize: 10 people selected at random could nominate a costumed Pikachu or Eevee to visit a school or place of work.
A prize: 10 people selected at random would receive a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!.
B prize: 100 people selected at random would receive 2 Double Blaze booster boxes.

A pair of boxed products became available on April 26, 2019, which saw, among other things, the release of the Great Detective Pikachu subset. One of these was the Detective Pikachu Special Jumbo Card Pack: Charizard-GX Version (Japanese: スペシャルジャンボカードパック 名探偵ピカチュウ リザードンGX Ver. Special Jumbo Card Pack: Great Detective Pikachu: Lizardon-GX Ver.), which was only available to people who purchased special advance POKÉMON Detective Pikachu movie tickets from stores with Loppi ticket dispensers. People who purchased tickets between March 21 and April 14, 2019 could redeem the set from April 26, 2019, while those who purchased tickets between April 15 and May 2, 2019 could redeem the set from May 31, 2019. Each set includes a Detective Pikachu and a Jumbo Charizard-GX promotional card in addition to 6 Great Detective Pikachu booster packs.

The second of two boxed sets available from April 26, 2019 was the Detective Pikachu Special Jumbo Card Pack: Mewtwo-GX Version (Japanese: スペシャルジャンボカードパック 名探偵ピカチュウ ミュウツーGX Ver. Special Jumbo Card Pack: Great Detective Pikachu: Mewtwo-GX Ver.). It could be purchased directly at Pokémon Centers and participating ÆON, Lawson, and TSUTAYA stores. Select cinemas screening POKÉMON Detective Pikachu also sold the set upon the film's release on May 3, 2019. The set includes 3 Great Detective Pikachu packs, 3 Sky Legend packs, a promotional Detective Pikachu card and a Jumbo version of the Mewtwo-GX from the Great Detective Pikachu subset.

April 26, 2019 saw the release of Sky Legend, the second subset associated with the Double Blaze expansion, as well as the Great Detective Pikachu subset, promoting the POKÉMON Detective Pikachu movie that premiered in Japan the following Friday. A variety of merchandise featuring artwork based on the two subsets was available to purchase from the same day, as were many other items in anticipation of Golden Week, traditionally a busy shopping period and longer in 2019 than usual due to the Japanese imperial transition.
Card box: The White High-class Long Card Box (Japanese: ハイクラスロングカードボックス ホワイト) is a high-quality box made of polyurethane and lined with fabric. It can store up to 750 cards (or 400 cards in sleeves) and can also accommodate deck cases. The box comes with 5 polypropylene dividers that can be used to segment its contents. The lid is secured with magnets.

- The Pikachu Pikachu Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース PIKACHU PIKACHU) features various images of Pikachu's head, some of which include speech bubbles containing its name. This deck case could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.
- The Pikachu Drawing Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース Pikachu drawing) features numerous loose drawings of Pikachu and doodles of Pikachu-themed stationery. The two dividers feature Pikachu holding a letter 'P' and the number '025'. This deck case was exclusive to Pokémon Centers.
- The Fan of Pikachu & Eevee Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース FAN OF PIKACHU&EIEVUI) features Kouki Saitou artwork of Pikachu in an Eevee poncho and vice versa. The illustration also features various other Pokémon with Pikachu and Eevee-themed items, including Rowlet, Piplup, Riolu, Gengar, Whimsicott, Munchlax, Slowpoke, and Psyduck. This deck case was only available at Pokémon Centers.
- The RB Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース RB) features drawings of Pikachu and Eevee resting and playing amongst clouds. This deck case could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.
- The Riding on Latias & Latios Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ラティアス・ラティオスに乗って) features the four key visuals created for the Riding on Latias & Latios merchandise campaign that started at Pokémon Centers earlier in the month. The images depict a Pikachu meeting various Pokémon while traveling on the backs of Latias and Latios. This deck case is oriented differently to the others available at this time and, like most of them, could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.
- The Poké Maniac Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース かいじゅうマニア Deck Case: Monster Maniac) prominently features Pikachu cosplaying in a generic full-body monster suit. Pokémon EX Drawing: Yusuke Murata accessories
Manga artist Yusuke Murata was commissioned to produce two pieces of art in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for a Pokémon Center merchandise campaign that began on May 25, 2019. Both pieces of art feature Pokémon Trainers Brendan and Rosa engaging in a titanic battle against Ultra Necrozma. The Ultra Necrozma Air Battle art is a single full-color image showcasing the destructive power of the Prism Pokémon in its true form. The Comic Pattern art provides a narrative of the battle and is presented in typical manga style, consisting of multiple panels with black and white images. The artwork was used on many items available as part of the campaign, including shirts, bags, pouches, wallets, towels, notebooks, badges, and numerous TCG accessories:

- The Mewtwo & Mew Double Flip Deck Case (Japanese: ダブルフリップデッキケース ミュウツー・ミュウ) is chic leather-style flip deck case lined with fabric that features relief images of Mewtwo and Mew. Each of its two compartments can store a fully sleeved 60-card deck. This deck case could only be purchased at stores designated Pokémon Card Friendly Shops.

It was only available to purchase at venues hosting Pokémon Card Gym meetings.

An Old Amber lies partially buried in the foreground while a revived Aerodactyl flies overhead. These sleeves were illustrated by Hitoshi Ariga and were only available at Pokémon Centers.

Gardevoir & Sylveon Original Rubber Playmat
Participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations across Japan held Pokémon Card Day events on particular Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout June, July, and August 2019, with the first event on May 31 in tandem with the release of Miracle Twin. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions held at each of these venues were awarded a Gardevoir & Sylveon Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: サーナイト＆ニンフィア オリジナルラバープレイマット Sirnight & Nymphia Original Rubber Playmat), which features a panoramic Mitsuhiro Arita illustration of the Embrace Pokémon Gardevoir and the Intertwining Pokémon Sylveon.

Pokémon Japan Championships 2019 merchandise
The 2019 Pokémon Japan Championships was the final domestic event of the 2018-2019 season and was hosted at the Makuhari Messe convention center, Tokyo on June 8 and 9, 2019. This event offered the largest amount of Championship Points for the season and was the last opportunity for players to earn enough points to qualify for the 2019 World Championships. Of the three age divisions, eligible Senior and Master players were required to pre-register for the event via the Pokémon Card Game Players Club, whereas eligible Junior players could either pre-register or enter on the opening day without prior registration.
Vendors present at the venue sold exclusive merchandise, including T-shirts, card sleeves, pouches, muffler towels, and microfiber cloths. A number of events were held as part of the championships: the first day comprised solely of the qualifying rounds for the main 2019 Pokémon Japan Championship tournament; the second day held the culmination of the tournament, plus the Special Cup, the 4-player League Battle, and the 3 on 3 Battle. Players were given a promotional Meltan card for participating in any of these events and they could also earn Play Points from them as well. These Play Points could be exchanged for prizes: 2 points could be redeemed for 1 of 2 original stickers featuring the event key visual at random; 4 points could be redeemed for a Jirachi promotional card; 6 points could be redeemed for 1 of 9 random promotional Energy cards and an Original Clear File featuring the event key visual; 8 points could be redeemed for 1 of 6 promotional Pokémon-GX cards.
For those playing in the main 2019 Pokémon Japan Championship tournament, a promotional print of Escape Board was given to Junior players who reached the Second Stage of their first qualifying round, as well as Senior and Master players who placed in the top 64 of their qualifying round. A cap featuring the event logo, a navy blue T-shirt, and a set of card sleeves bearing a Poké Ball shield were also given to Junior players who went on to reach their second qualifying round, as well as Senior and Master players who made the top cut following the conclusion of their qualifying round. The top 3 players in each division were each given a 2019 Pokémon Japan Championships trophy.

Special advance tickets for the upcoming Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution could be ordered at participating 7-Eleven stores from April 12, 2019. Customers reserving these tickets were entitled to purchase a Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution Special Advance Ticket 7-Eleven Limited Set (Japanese: 「ミュウツーの逆襲 EVOLUTION」特別前売券付きセブン-イレブン限定セット) upon the release of the Remix Bout subset of July 5, 2019. This tin features Mewtwo as it appears in the movie and contains 4 Miracle Twin booster packs, 4 Remix Bout booster packs, an exclusive Charizard promotional card, a serial code to redeem a ticket for the movie, and a gift guide.

A boxed set promoting the release of the upcoming Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution in cinemas became available to purchase from July 5, 2019 at most retailers and locations selling advance movie tickets. The Mewtwo & Mew-GX Special Jumbo Card Pack (Japanese: スペシャルジャンボカードパック ミュウツー＆ミュウGX) includes 3 Miracle Twin packs, 3 Remix Bout packs, a promotional Pikachu card and a Jumbo version of the regular Mewtwo & Mew-GX from the Miracle Twin expansion.

The Remix Bout subset, the first associated with the Miracle Twin expansion, was officially released on July 5, 2019. Numerous TCG protection and storage solutions became available to purchase from the same day at a variety of retailers.
Card boxes: A set of three deck Pokémon Center-exclusive long card boxes featuring the evolutionary families of the Generation I first partner Pokémon as illustrated by nejita were among the items released. Each box can hold up to 750 loose cards or 400 cards in sleeves.

These sleeves, which were exclusive to Pokémon Centers, are more durable than regular ones and not as glossy.
- The Armored Mewtwo Premium Matte Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド プレミアム・マット アーマードミュウツー Deck Shield Premium•Matte: Armored Mewtwo) feature an official rendering of Mewtwo in its suit of armor as it appears in Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution. These sleeves were only available at select retailers, including Toys "R" Us, ÆON, Ito-Yokado, Uny, AL.PLAZA, TSUTAYA, and Bic Camera, participating cinemas, and at Pokémon Centers. These sleeves are also non-glossy and more durable than regular sleeves.
- The Venusaur Evolutionary Lineage Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド 進化の系譜 フシギバナ Deck Shield: Evolutionary Lineage: Fushigibana) feature Seed Pokémon Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur accompanied by a forest background. These sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.
- The Charizard Evolutionary Lineage Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド 進化の系譜 リザードン Deck Shield: Evolutionary Lineage: Lizardon) feature the evolutionary family of Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard against a volcanic background. These sleeves were only available at Pokémon Centers.

Oceanic Operetta accessories
The Oceanic Operetta merchandise campaign began in Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and on the Pokémon Center Online on July 6, 2019. The campaign, named after the English language version of Primarina's exclusive Z-Move, saw the release of numerous items featuring marine Pokémon. Among these were several TCG accessories featuring original illustrations by sui. The three main Pokémon of the campaign include Vaporeon, Milotic, and Primarina, all of which are donned in elaborate clothing.
Deck case: The polyurethane Oceanic Operetta Flip Deck Case (Japanese: フリップデッキケース Oceanic Operetta) is stitched with a fabric interior lining and features an embroidered Pokémon Center logo and copyright information on the underside of the lid. The lid is secured by magnets and can be lifted using the plastic pearlescent charm on the front. Each case can hold 180 cards and come with 2 card dividers.

In commemoration of the annual Amazon Prime Day, which took place on July 15 and 16, 2019, Amazon customers could pre-order Dream League Box Special Sets from this period leading up to the subset's release on August 2, 2019. Each of these special sets include 1 Dream League booster box, an Original Flip Deck Case (Japanese: オリジナルフリップデッキケース), and an exclusive blue Cosmog coin. The flip deck case is made of a leather-like material and feature reliefs of Solgaleo and Lunala on the front and of Lillie and Cosmog on the reverse.

File: The 4-ring Old Book-style Design Collection File (Japanese: コレクションファイル 古書風デザイン) emulates an antiquated photo album featuring Pikachu silhouettes. Each file comes with ten 9-pocket pages for card display and can hold up to 20 pages, enabling the storage of up to 360 cards in total. Refills sold at the same time included 10 pages and an index sheet featuring the same design as the file. Both products were exclusive to Pokémon Centers.

- The 100 Damage Counter Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ダメカン100 Deck Shield: Damage Counter 100) feature overlaid representations of damage counters for 100 damage. These sleeves could only be purchased at Pokémon Centers.
- The Damage Counter Party Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ダメカンパーティ Deck Shield: Damage Counter Party) feature a mixture of the three types of damage counter in a strewn pattern. These sleeves were only available at Pokémon Centers.
- The Pokémon Complete Name 151 Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ポケモン名大全151 Deck Shield: Complete Name 151) feature the Japanese characters for the first 151 Pokémon in a calligraphic style. The characters for "Mew" in the name of Mewtwo are highlighted in orange. These sleeves were exclsuive to Pokémon Centers.

Umbreon & Darkrai Original Rubber Playmat
Pokémon Card Day events were held at participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Gym venues, and Pokémon Card Stations on set Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout September, October, and November 2019. The first of these events were held in conjunction with the release of the Alter Genesis expansion on September 6, 2019. Winners of rock paper scissors competitions at each of these events were given an Umbreon & Darkrai Original Rubber Playmat (Japanese: ブラッキー＆ダークライ オリジナルラバープレイマット Blacky & Darkrai Original Rubber Playmat), which features a Mitsuhiro Arita illustration of the Moonlight Pokémon Umbreon and the Pitch-Black Pokémon Darkrai against a background consisting of a Notre-Dame-inspired cathedral.

Pokémon Center Osaka DX accessories
In commemoration of the opening of Pokémon Center Osaka DX on September 22, 2019, the Pokémon Company collaborated with several companies that epitomize Osaka to produce a wide array of merchandise. Pineapple-flavored Pokémon Candy was available at all Pokémon Centers to represent the Pine Corporation. Pokémon-themed magic ink sets were available from Pokémon Center Osaka and Pokémon Center Osaka DX to represent the Teranishi Chemical Industry Corporation. A three-towel set featuring Pikachu was also available at Pokémon Center Osaka and Pokémon Center Osaka DX, representing the Osaka Towel Industry Association. The Tsūtenkaku Official Billiken Office licensed numerous items featuring a Pikachu-themed Billiken charm doll, popularized as a Japanese symbol of Americana. These items included smartphone accessories, plush dolls, keyrings, TCG accessories, as well as a 24-karat gold Billiken Pikachu statue crafted by jewellers Ginza Tanaka mimicking the Billiken enshrined at Tsūtenkaku. The statue, sold at a retail price of ¥400,000, could be ordered in limited quantities at Pokémon Center Osaka DX, while the other Billiken Pikachu products could be purchased there and at Pokémon Center Osaka. All Pokémon Centers sold other commemorative items from the same date, many of which feature the legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, as well as items featuring a pair of Pikachu mimicking a comedy double act. Champion's League 2020 merchandise
The first Champion's League meeting of the 2019-2020 season, and the final major event to occur during the Sun & Moon Era, was held in Tokyo at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center on September 22, 2019. All competitors were given an Eevee promotional card featuring the 2020 Championship Series logo upon entry. Competitors could also earn Play Points by participating in various corner events at the meeting and redeem them for prizes. These events included the main Champion's League tournament, the 4-League Battle, the 3 on 3 Battle, and the Shield Battle. Competitors could, however, only redeem Play Points once during the meeting, a new rule brought into effect for the 2019-2020 season. 2 Play Points could be redeemed for a set of stickers featuring focal Tag Teams from recent sets. At 6 Play Points, competitors could redeem the stickers and their choice of 1 of 3 promotional cards: Jirachi, Volcanion, or Mewtwo. 10 Play Points would earn competitors 1 of 9 prior Mirror Holofoil promotional prints of the Basic Energy cards at random, their choice of previous bracket promotional card, and the stickers. At 14 Play Points, competitors could earn a random Mirror Holofoil Energy card, their choice of previous bracket promotional card, the set of stickers, and their choice of 1 of 6 possible promotional Pokémon-GX cards: Espeon-GX, Umbreon-GX, Necrozma-GX, Leafeon-GX, Glaceon-GX, or Sylveon-GX. All were previously available in Champion's League meetings held during the 2018-2019 season. The top bracket of 20 Play Points would earn players their choice of promotional Pokémon-GX card, a random Mirror Holofoil Energy card, the set of stickers, and 1 each of the Jirachi, Volcanion, and Mewtwo promotional cards.
A pop-up store, referred to as the Sales Corner, was also present at the venue, offering the latest TCG products and other official Pokémon merchandise. Packs of 64 event-exclusive Damage Design Premium Matte Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールドプレミアム・マット 「damage design」 Deck Shield Premium•Matte: "Damage Design") could be purchased here, as could a pull-string bag (Japanese: 合財袋) featuring a Pikachu-themed mon, emblem, which was limited to the Tokyo meeting. The sleeves could be purchased for ¥890 and were limited to 2 per person; the bag could be purchased for ¥4,210 and was limited to 1 per person. People participating in any event were automatically entered into a lottery to win 1 of 50 copies of the pull-string bag. If the number present on a participant's Play Point stamp card was drawn, they could redeem a free copy of the bag at the Gift Exchange Corner.
Junior League competitors in the main Champion's League 2020 tournament who reached the Second Stage of the qualifying round, as well as Senior, Master, and Open League competitors who placed in the top 64 following the qualification round, earned a promotional print of Pal Pad. A set of exclusive card sleeves (Japanese: オリジナルデッキシールド Original Deck Shield) were also awarded to Junior League competitors who went beyond the qualifying round (Climax Stage), as well as Senior, Master, and Open League competitors who placed in the top 32 following the qualification round. Victory Decoration trophy cards were also awarded to the top 4 players in each league category at each venue.
The next Champion's League meeting of the 2019-2020 season was held during the Sword & Shield Era, which allowed competitors to use cards from the Sword and Shield expansions and saw the integration of cards featuring Generation VIII Pokémon and the new Pokémon V mechanic into the Play Point prize pool.

SM12a accessories
A variety of TCG accessories were made available at Pokémon Centers from October 4, 2019 to coincide with the release of the final major release of the Sun & Moon Era, Tag All Stars.
Card boxes: Each long card box can hold up to 750 cards or 400 cards in sleeves once assembled.
- The Poké Ball Long Card Box (Japanese: ロングカードボックス モンスターボール Long Card Box: Monster Ball) features a basic red and white pattern complete with black trim and button graphic, emulating the appearance of a standard Poké Ball.
- The Basic Black Long Card Box (Japanese: ロングカードボックス モンスターボール) features a muted black starburst pattern with stylized Poké Balls lining the front of the box.

Deck cases: Each cardboard deck case can hold up to 180 cards once assembled and come packaged with 2 card dividers.
- The Fairy Outing Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース おでかけフェアリー) features an assortment of Fairy-type Pokémon enjoying a picnic of berries.
- Dash! Eeveelutions Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ダッシュ！イーブイズ Deck Case: Dash! EVs) features an assembly of Eevee and its eight known evolutions in an illustration by You Iribi.
- The Dark Illusionist Zoroark Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ゾロアーク ダークイリュージョニスト) features the Illusion Fox Pokémon Zoroark enveloped in a dark aura in an illustration by Masakazu Fukuda.
- The Poké Ball Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース モンスターボール Deck Case: Monster Ball) has a pattern resembling that of a regular Poké Ball. The front flap features the button present at the front of Poké Balls.
- The Basic Black Deck Case (Japanese: デッキケース ベーシック ブラック) features a stylized Poké Ball symbol with the words "Pokémon Trading Card Game" in English against a black background.

Its evolutions leave trails of elemental energy behind them and stars resembling the move Swift envelop the ensemble.

Sleeves: Each pack contains 64 card sleeves.
- The Alola Guardian Deities Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド アローラの守り神 Deck Shield: Alola Guardian Deities) feature the four guardian deities of Alola assembling in the sky leaving energy trails from the islands they protect.
- The Fairy Outing Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド おでかけフェアリー Deck Shield: Fairy Outing) feature Alolan Ninetales watching over Togepi, Cleffa, and Igglybuff, stars of their own Tag Team card, as they eat and play.
- The Dash! Eeveelutions Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ダッシュ！イーブイズ Deck Shield: Dash! EVs) feature the Evolution Pokémon Eevee and each of its evolved forms as of Generation VII.
- The Mega Rayquaza Advent Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド メガレックウザ 降臨 Deck Shield: Mega Rayquaza Advent) feature an atmospheric illustration of Mega Rayquaza emerging from a layer of cloud, its appearance accented by the breaking sun.
- The Dark Illusionist Zoroark Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ゾロアーク ダークイリュージョニスト Deck Shield: Zoroark: Dark Illusionist) feature Zoroark brandishing its claws as a dark energy swirls around it.
- The Pokémon Card Design Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ポケカデザイン Deck Shield: Pokéka Design) feature the motif present on the reverse of current Japanese Pokémon trading cards.
- The Poké Ball Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド モンスターボール Deck Shield: Monster Ball) feature the front design of a regular Poké Ball.

Playmat case: Similar to the promotion held at the launch of the GX Ultra Shiny subset, participating Pokémon Card Gym venues gave away an exclusive Pokémon Card Gym Limited Playmat Case (Japanese: 限定プレイマットケース) with the purchase of at least 2 Tag All Stars booster boxes in a single transaction. The case is a toggle bag that can securely hold a rolled-up playmat and features numerous Pokémon silhouettes resembling a camouflage pattern.

November 2019 accessories
The last wave of Sun & Moon Era merchandise was available to purchase exclusively at Pokémon Centers from November 1, 2019. Four distinct themes were present across most of the accessories to be had, which comprised deck cases able to hold a fully-sleeved deck of cards, single-player playmats, and packs of 64 card sleeves.
Pokémon Caricatures merchandise: The scenes depicted on these items pay homage to the series of emakimono, picture scrolls, Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga, literally "Animal-person Caricatures", with a Pokémon twist. All scenes are derived from sections of the first scroll and feature Infernape, Chimchar, Azumarill, and Marill bathing by a river, substituting the monkeys and rabbits of the original; Decidueye practicing archery alongside Chespin, Greninja, Plusle, Minun, and Braixen, mirroring the poses of the frog, rabbits, and fox in the original; Croagunk, Pikachu, and Buneary following a robbery, emulating the frog and rabbits in the original; and Buneary and Froakie playing sumo, substituting the rabbit and frog present in the original.

Cold Chill of Gengar!? merchandise: These items depict the Shadow Pokémon Gengar adopting various intimidating poses, adding to other products bearing similar designs from an August 2019 Pokémon Center merchanidse campign. - The Porygon Maker Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド ポリゴンメーカー Deck Shield: Porygon Maker) feature a multitude of different shapes and patterns resembling blueprints of the Virtual Pokémon Porygon, referencing its origin.
- The Item Mania Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド グッズマニア Deck Shield: Goods Mania) feature numerous trinkets that have appeared as Item cards over the course of the Sun & Moon Era. Many of the items illustrated by Kouichi Ooyama have been made as Ultra Rare Secret cards.
- The Pokémon's Eye 054 Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド pokemon's eye 054 Deck Shield: Pokémon's Eye 054) feature a plain yellow design and eye shape resembling that of a Psyduck.
- The Pokémon's Eye 109 Sleeves (Japanese: デッキシールド pokemon's eye 109 Deck Shield: Pokémon's Eye 109) feature a plain purple design and eye shape resembling that of a Koffing.

Limited Collection Master Battle Set
To mark the end of the Sun & Moon Era, a special product could be ordered from Pokémon Centers and the Pokémon Center Online starting August 16, 2019 as part of a make to order run. Each Limited Collection Master Battle Set (Japanese: リミテッドコレクション マスターバトルセット) includes 2 exclusive Full Art promotional cards, 64 card sleeves, a leather-like deck case, a playmat and accompanying playmat case, a set of 12 dice, a coin, 2 acrylic status counters, an acrylic GX marker, a leather-like damage counter case, and a ballpoint pen. Most of the TCG accessories have a plain black design with a rainbow Holofoil inset featuring the words "Pokémon Card Game" and the 11 Energy symbols. The set was limited to 5 per person and cost ¥13,200 including tax each. Sets began shipping to customers in early December 2019.
