The Tag Team GX Deck Build Box (Japanese: デッキビルドBOX「TAG TEAM GX」) is a Japanese-exclusive Pokémon Trading Card Game product released together with the Double Blaze expansion on March 1, 2019.
Information
Deck Build Boxes are marketed as the perfect starting point for players wishing to battle competitively as they contain cards featured in many tournament-tried decks. The Tag Team GX Deck Build Box continues the trend of its predecessors, focusing primarily on popular Trainer cards from the Sun & Moon Era. While the box includes no literature that examine the cards in detail, it does contain ten Double Blaze booster packs, inviting players to integrate the latest cards into the base selection and come up with their own strategies.
The box includes an assortment of 49 Trainer and Special Energy cards and a Pokémon-GX card, Tapu Lele-GX, used in many competitive decks due to its Wonder Tag Ability. The remaining 108 cards comprise 12 copies of each basic Energy type for a total of 158 cards. The box itself can be used to store up to 750 cards. While all cards in the base selection have been released in prior expansions, all (with the exception of the basic Energy cards) have an exclusive collection number and symbol.
