Sneak-Peek Tins

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

The first items released during the Black & White Series were the Sneak-Peek Tins. Available from March 9, 2011, these tins introduced the first Generation V Pokémon to the TCG. Each tin featured one of the three first partner PokémonSnivy, Tepig, and Oshawott—in the form of both a promotional card and a figure. The cards were derived from the Japanese Journey Partners collection and the figures were exclusive Kaiyodo sculpts for release outside Japan. Each tin included four booster packs, ranging from the Platinum Series to the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, and a special Preview Pack containing five Common cards from the upcoming Black & White expansion: Lillipup, Patrat, Purrloin, Pidove, and Sandile.

Black & White Theme Decks

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

With releases complementing nearly all prior main expansions, Theme Decks continued to be an integral part of the localized TCG in the Back & White Series. Three Theme Decks were released on April 6, 2011 to promote the Black & White expansion ahead of its launch, which collectively focused on the final evolutions of Unova's first partner Pokémon. The Green Tornado Theme Deck featured Serperior, the Red Frenzy Theme Deck featured Emboar, and the Blue Assault Theme Deck featured Samurott. Each deck included a paperboard sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a large fold-out sheet with a playing surface for two players on one side and playing rules on the other, another sheet with a summary of new features for the Black & White Series on one side and a Black & White card checklist on the other, a deckbox, and a code card to unlock a digital version of it in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Ultra Pro Black & White accessories

From around July/August 2011, Ultra Pro released more TCG accessories bearing analogous designs to the Black & White Portfolios available earlier in the year.

Deck box: Each Deck Box features a self-locking lid and can hold up to 80 cards side-loaded.

Playmat: Each single-player Playmat provides a cushioned surface to protect cards during play.

Sleeves: Each pack of Deck Protector Sleeves contains 65 copies featuring the same design.

Binders: A 3-ring 2" Album capable of holding multiple 9-card pages was released at this time, as was another pair of 9-Pocket and 4-Pocket Portfolios. These portfolios differed from the two available alongise the Black & White expansion by featuring booster pack artwork instead of Ken Sugimori key art. The 9-Pocket Portfolio features Reshiram and Zekrom on the front and Zoroark on the back, while the 4-Pocket Portfolio features Serperior, Emboar and Samurott.

Black & White Trainer Kit

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:
Main article: Black & White Trainer Kit (TCG)

Trainer Kits provide a platform for newcomers to experience the basics of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Each Black & White Trainer Kit included two Half Decks focusing on the Illusion Fox Pokémon Zoroark and the Subterrene Pokémon Excadrill, both of which featured product-exclusive artwork. The Excadrill Half Deck contained an assortment of Fighting-type Pokémon and the Zoroark Half Deck included several Darkness-types; both also incorporated numerous Colorless-type Pokémon, plus multiples of Trainer and Energy cards.

The Black & White Trainer Kits were packaged with everything required to play the game at a basic level, including a 2-player playmat and rulesheet, a sheet of damage counters and Special Condition markers, and a coin. Kits also included a pair of turn-by-turn guide booklets (one for each Half Deck), a deck box to hold all the enclosed cards, a Black & White booster pack to encourage integrating other cards, and a TCGO code card. Redeeming the code card would unlock the Night Hunter Theme Deck in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, which combines both Half Decks into a full 60-card deck. The kit was originally due for release on August 3, 2011, but was delayed for unknown reasons until September 12.

2011 World Championships Decks

Following the results of the 2011 World Championships in August 2011, four Pokémon Trading Card Game players that placed highly from each age bracket had their decks recreated as commemorative products. The 2011 World Championships Decks were released in October 2011 and comprised replicas of Junior Division champion Gustavo Wada's Megazone deck, a variant of the MegaZone archetype; Senior Division champion Christopher Kan's Reshiphlosion deck, a variant of the TyRam archetype; Masters Division finalist Ross Cawthon's rogue deck named The Truth; and Masters Division champion David Cohen's MagneBoar deck named Twinboar. In addition to the cards, each deck was packaged with a Worlds 2011-themed deck box and a booklet about the Championships.

Evolved Battle Action Tins

Released November 2, 2011 were the Evolved Battle Action Tins. Each tin features one of the three final evolutions of the Unova first partner Pokémon—the Regal Pokémon Serperior, the Mega Fire Pig Pokémon Emboar, and the Formidable Pokémon Samurott—in the form of both a BW Black Star Promo card and a figure. The tins also included a special code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, as well as five booster packs (typically two from Emerging Powers, one from Black & White, one from Call of Legends, and one from Triumphant). Versions of the tins later made available at retailers such as Walgreens lacked the figure and came with three booster packs instead of five. Pack selections for these later tins usually consisted of one Next Destinies, one Dragons Exalted, and one Boundaries Crossed.

Next Destinies Theme Decks

The Theme Decks for the first three expansions of the Black & White Series were all released weeks ahead of their general sale; however, the pair associated with the Next Destinies expansion were released on February 8, 2012 in tandem with the set's launch. Explosive Edge and Voltage Vortex respectively featured the two main Legendary Pokémon of UnovaReshiram and Zekrom—and were both packaged with a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a sheet covering the new Pokémon-EX for the expansion with a Next Destinies card checklist, a deckbox, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code card. Next Destinies Blisters

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

Released together with the Next Destinies expansion, various blister packs hit store shelves on February 8, 2012. In an unprecedented move by The Pokémon Company International, the blister packs for North America began to include different assortments of products compared to those for release in other markets. The clamshell Three Pack Blisters, released internationally, came in two varieties: one with an exclusive Cosmos Holofoil Riolu promotional card, and one with an exclusive Cosmos Holofoil Luxio promotional card. These Blisters included three Next Destinies booster packs, and a coin featuring Munna.

The North American blister packs, on the other hand, came in four varieties: two featured a Stage 2 evolutionary family, and two featured a Stage 1 evolutionary family. The Stage 2 Blisters contained either the Klinklang family or the Gigalith family, all of which were Cracked Ice Holofoil, and came with a coin and two Next Destinies booster packs. The Stage 1 Blisters contained either the Zoroark family or the Beartic family, with the final stage as a Cracked Ice Holofoil, and were packaged with one standard Next Destinies booster pack, a 3-card Sampling Pack, and a code card to unlock either family in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online. The enclosed Sampling Pack was typically from Next Destinies, but could be from an earlier Black & White Series expansion.

Dark Explorers Blisters

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

Various blister packs were released in stores on May 9, 2012 to promote the Dark Explorers expansion. Continuing the pattern set by Next Destinies, blister packs distributed in North America had different contents to those distributed in other countries overseen by The Pokémon Company International. The international Three Pack Blisters came in two varieties: one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Luxray promotional card, and one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Krookodile promotional card. These blisters were enclosed with three Dark Explorers booster packs and a coin featuring Zekrom and Reshiram first released in the Next Destinies Theme Decks.

The North American blister packs came in four varieties: two featured Stage 2 evolutionary families, and two featured Stage 1 evolutionary families. The Stage 2 Blisters contained Cracked Ice Holofoil versions of either the Luxray family or the Krookodile family, in addition to a coin and two Dark Explorers booster packs. The Stage 1 Blisters contained either the Persian family or the Lucario family, with the final stage as a Cosmos Holofoil variant, plus a standard Dark Explorers 10-card booster pack and a Dark Explorers 3-card Sampling Pack. These blisters provided North American audiences an opportunity to obtain the Luxio and Riolu promotional cards previously available in the international Next Destinies Blisters; however, the two did not feature the Cosmos Holofoil treatment, making both releases contain exclusive cards.

In North America, Dark Explorers was the last expansion to feature this style of Stage 2 Blister, with subsequent expansions returning to utilize the clamshell Three Pack Blisters used prior to the change with Next Destinies. Similar blister pack configurations would be used in later products.

Dragons Exalted Theme Decks

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

DragonSnarl and DragonSpeed were the two Theme Decks released together with the Dragons Exalted expansion on August 15, 2012. Much like the equivalent Japanese expansion, the accompanying decks focused on the Brutal Pokémon Hydreigon and the Mach Pokémon Garchomp, both of which represented the Dragon type that made its localized debut in the expansion. Each deck was packaged with a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a sheet with a Dragons Exalted card checklist and information on the new Dragon-type Pokémon cards, a deckbox, and a TCGO code card.

Early retailer images incorrectly featured Hydreigon and Garchomp as each deck's showcased card instead of the actual Hydreigon and Garchomp. Both were included as exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil cards.

Emerging Challenges Box

The Emerging Challenges Box was released on September 18, 2012 and focused on earlier expansions from the Black & Whte Series. Each box was packaged with one of the four Theme Decks from the Emerging Powers and Noble Victories expansions (Power Play, Toxic Tricks, Fast Daze, or Furious Knights), a pair of booster packs—one from Black & White and another from either Emerging Powers or Noble Victories—plus Holofoil prints of the Stoutland evolutionary line. The Herdier and Stoutland cards were Parallel Holofoils sourced straight from the Black & White expansion, while the Lillipup, which features the same Parallel Holofoil treatment, was a new BW Black Star Promo.

The Lillipup promotional card originated from the Cobalion Battle Strength Deck, a deck released in Japan 19 months earlier. The other Pokémon cards from the deck were localized in the Emerging Powers expansion 13 months earlier, so it is unknown why the card was withheld for such a long time. Ironically, the card features a 2011 copyright instead of a 2012 copyright.

Dragon Vault Blisters

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

The Black & White Series saw the release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's first special expansion—an expansion where booster packs were only available in specific merchandise and could not be purchased from or as booster boxes. The first such expansion was Dragon Vault, which comprised 21 Tinsel Holofoil cards and featured Pokémon purely of the Dragon type following their debut in the mainline Dragons Exalted expansion. Dragon Vault Blisters were the only products associated with this expansion, each of which included three Dragon Vault packs, a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, and one of five possible Mirror Holofoil variant cards from Dragon Vault bearing the expansion's logo. Each booster pack contained five cards instead of the standard ten.

Boundaries Crossed Theme Decks

With the Boundaries Crossed expansion's release on November 7, 2012 came two Theme Decks: Ice Shock and Cold Fire. The decks focused on the two new forms of Kyurem following their introduction in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Much like the featured Pokémon in the Emerging Powers Theme Decks, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem were not available in Japan at the time of Boundaries Crossed's launch; the two also received exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil prints in these decks. Each Theme Deck included a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a sheet with a Boundaries Crossed card checklist and information on the new Ace Spec mechanic, a deckbox, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code card.

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

The Plasma Freeze expansion was officially released on May 8, 2013 and was accompanied by a variety of different products. Among these was a pair of Theme Decks featuring Team Plasma-owned versions of Leafeon and Glaceon as their main attackers. Each deck comprised 60 cards, which included an exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil variant of its showcased Pokémon. Also enclosed was a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a card checklist and summary of new features sheet, a deckbox, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code card. The Plasma Freeze Theme Decks were the first TCG products to begin including larger-size coins and, as a result, do not have the "not for children under 3" warning on their packaging.

Plasma Freeze Blisters

Multiple blister packs were released on May 8, 2013 to promote the launch of the Plasma Freeze expansion. The Three Pack Blisters featured one of two promotional Team Plasma Pokémon cards—Landorus or Druddigon—plus three Plasma Freeze booster packs and a coin bearing the Team Plasma emblem. The Single Pack Blisters, or Checklane Blisters, were packaged with one Plasma Freeze booster pack, a Pokémon TCG Online code card, and either a Team Plasma Electrode or a Moltres promotional card. These were the first Single Pack Blisters since those released alongside Noble Victories to include a single card rather than a Stage 1 evolutionary line. These blisters also began to include a coin, with possible designs including Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile, all of which were included in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Theme Decks.

Plasma Blast Elite Trainer Box

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

After the success of the Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box, The Pokémon Company International believed that Elite Trainer Boxes should become an integral part of the TCG merchandise lineup. Two sets later came the Plasma Blast Elite Trainer Box, which featured a few improvements over its initial release after official representatives asked for community feedback on The PokéGym.[1] This iteration added card sleeves, as well as an additional booster pack for a total of eight. Also included were five basic Energy cards from each of the eight types at the time, a pair of acrylic Poison and Burn markers, six orange damage-counter dice, one transparent coin-flip die, and a player's guide with tips about all the newly released cards in the Plasma Blast expansion.

Legendary Treasures Blisters

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

The only merchandise released to promote the Legendary Treasures expansion on November 8, 2013 was a quartet of blister packs. The Three Pack Blisters came with three Legendary Treasures booster packs, a Reshiram/Zekrom coin, and an exclusive Holofoil BW Black Star Promotional card—either Mew or Eevee. Single Pack Blisters came with one Legendary Treasures booster pack, a Steelix coin, and an exclusive Holofoil variant card of either Aggron or Ampharos from the Dragons Exalted expansion. The promotional cards available in these blisters were the first to use an updated Cosmos Holofoil paper with smoother, more defined shapes. This Smooth-style Cosmos Holofoil would remain in use until the Scarlet & Violet Series in 2023, during which The Pokémon Company International began to use the original Pixel-style Cosmos Holofoil again.
