Oceanic Operetta (Japanese: わだつみのシンフォニア Sea God's Symphonia) is a damage-dealing Water-type Z-Move introduced in Generation VII. It is the exclusive Z-Move of Primarina and an upgraded version of its signature move, Sparkling Aria.

Oceanic Operetta cannot be selected in a battle.

Learnset

Primarina, or a Pokémon transformed into Primarina, can use Oceanic Operetta if it knows Sparkling Aria, holds a Primarium Z, and if its Trainer wears a Z-RingSM or Z-Power RingUSUM.

  Primarina strikes a series of synchronized poses with its Trainer to build Z-Power. It then sings a song and generates a gigantic water bubble from its nose. Primarina then moves the bubble over to the opponent and sings another song, causing the bubble to burst.

  • During the animation of Oceanic Operetta, Primarina's body is reversed symmetrically, with its tail on the right side of its body instead of its left. This change is not apparent for any other Pokémon or Z-Move.
  • Despite its name and the fact that it is an upgraded version of Sparkling Aria, Oceanic Operetta is not a sound-based move.
