Skill Swap (Japanese: スキルスワップ Skill Swap) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It was TM48 from Generation III to Generation IV.
Effect
Generation III
Skill Swap will exchange the Abilities of the user and the target. Wonder Guard cannot be Skill Swapped. If the user switches out of battle after using this move, its original Ability will be restored.
Generation IV-V
Same as before, but now Multitype also cannot be Skill Swapped. Also certain Abilities that normally only activate when a Pokémon is sent out, such as Intimidate, will activate after being switched via Skill Swap (though the Pokémon has to switch out to do this a second time).
