The Pokémon Center lady (Japanese: ' Pokémon Center lady), also known as the Pokémon Center Nurse, is an operator of a Pokémon Center. They facilitate the restoration of Trainers' Pokémon to full HP, and usually provide this basic service free of charge.

Among fans, the Pokémon Center lady is often mistaken for her counterpart introduced in Pokémon the Series, Nurse Joy.

The nurses that operates the Pokémon Centers are usually not known to be named, except in the anime, in which the nurses are all named Joy. Occasionally, nurses with specific names do appear, such as Teala, and a nurse named Casey (Japanese: メディ Medi) which participates in Super Contests in Diamond and Pearl. It is currently unknown if the names applies to any or all the other nurses in the games.
In SMUSUM, they can be battled at the Battle Tree and Battle Royal Dome under the Pokémon Trainer Pokémon Center Lady (Japanese: PCおねえさん PC Lady).

section
A Pokémon Center Nurse operates every Pokémon Center in the Pokémon games, usually standing behind the counter and beside a machine which is able to heal the player's Pokémon to full health. The nurses are not known to be named and there is no evidence to support that they are related, unlike their anime counterpart. Since many characters in-game feature the same overworld sprites (the nurses included) it is impossible to tell whether or not these nurses all look the same.

In the Generation I games, Crystal, and FireRed and LeafGreen, the Pokémon Center ladies are referred to by some NPCs as receptionists (Japanese: うけつけのねーちゃん / うけつけのおねえさん reception lady).

In Yellow, the Nurse appears under a different overworld sprite. She is more similar to the anime's Joy than in any other game, and is even accompanied by Chansey in every center. Furthermore, an old news page from Game Freak on Pokémon Yellow suggests that her name is Joy (ジョーイ)—the same as in the anime. This seems to apply only to Yellow, as many aspects of Yellow are based on the anime.
In B2W2, they are instead called Pokémon Center receptionists (' Pokémon Center receptionist).

In Generation II, the Nurse in Fuchsia City has green hair. It is unknown if this has any significance. Interestingly, there are multiple green-haired nurses in the second floor of all Generation II Pokémon Centers.
In the English versions of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, an old lady on Mt. Chimney states she used to be a Pokémon Center girl. The equivalent Japanese name is the same one used for the Pokémon Center lady.

A nurse named Teala appears in every Pokémon Center of Generation III (second floor) and Generation IV (basement), usually giving information about Wireless Communication to the player. She manages the items the player obtains through Mystery Gift in Generation III.
The Trainer class in SMUSUM is formatted as Pokémon Center Lady in English.

In Diamond and Pearl, a nurse named Casey (Japanese: メディ Medi) participates in Super Contests with a Chansey nicknamed Pinky. It is unknown whether (and unlikely that) all nurses in the game are so named.
In the English versions of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, there is a set of Pokémon Center Nurse fashion items. They are originally just ポケセン Pokécen fashion items in Japanese.

In Pokémon Black and White Versions 2, the player character's Mother used to be a nurse, outright stated by her during an Xtransceiver conversation. She has mentioned working at Nimbasa City and is implied to have worked at Mistralton City.
In Scarlet and Violet, the term "Pokémon Center lady" is used to refer to Pokémon Center operators.

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are Expedition and Flashfire cards.

In the core series
A Pokémon Center lady operates every Pokémon Center in the Pokémon games (except the one in Po Town, which was taken by Team Skull), usually standing behind the counter and beside a machine which is able to heal the player's Pokémon to full health.

In the Gold and Silver Spaceworld '97 demo, the lady at the Pokémon Center in Silent Hill is unable to heal the player's Pokémon due to ongoing maintenance.

In Yellow, their appearance was changed to simultaneously reflect the artwork and resemble Nurse Joy as she appears in Kanto, the latter which was reinforced in LGPE. They are also all accompanied by Chansey like Nurse Joy.

In Gold, the lady in Fuchsia City has green hair instead of red.

In Diamond, a lady named Pokémon Super Contest (Japanese: メディ Medi) participates in Master Rank Super Contests with a Chansey nicknamed Pinky (Japanese: ちゃんしー Chansey).

In B2W2, the player's mom used to be a Pokémon Center lady, outright stated by her during a Xtransceiver conversation. She has mentioned working at Nimbasa City and is implied to have worked at Mistralton City.

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, there is an old lady on Mt. Chimney that states she used to be a "Pokémon Center girl".

In 7, Pokémon Center ladies named List of Battle Royal Dome Trainers/Pokémon Center Lady (Japanese: マッイ Ma'i) and List of Battle Tree Trainers/Pokémon Center Lady (Japanese: カマロリ Kamaloli) appear as Trainers that the player can battle in the Battle Royal Dome and Battle Tree respectively. They don't specialize in any specific type, but they have a preference for pink Pokémon and those with support capabilities. They keep their Pokémon in Heal Balls. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the player can customize Selene to wear a Pokémon Center Nurse outfit. This outfit can be obtained from the Game Freak offices in Heahea City after the credits.

In Expedition Base Set there is a Supporter card called Expedition. * When returning the player's Pokémon, the Nurse ends with "We hope to see you again!", causing many jokes to be made in the fandom about her wishing harm to come to the player's Pokémon so that he or she would return. This line was eventually changed in HeartGold and SoulSilver to read "Please, come back again any time!" instead.

The Pokémon Center lady (Japanese: ポケモンセンターお(ねえ)さん Pokémon Center lady), also known as the Pokémon Center Nurse, is an operator of a Pokémon Center. They facilitate the restoration of Trainers' Pokémon to full HP, and usually provide this basic service free of charge.

Among fans, the Pokémon Center lady is often mistaken for her counterpart introduced in Pokémon the Series, Nurse Joy.

In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, they can be battled at the Battle Tree and Battle Royal Dome under the Trainer class Pokémon Center Lady (Japanese: PCおねえさん PC Lady).

The receptionist can heal the player's Pokémon

In the Generation I games, Pokémon Crystal, and Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the Pokémon Center ladies are referred to by some NPCs as receptionists (Japanese: うけつけのねーちゃんRGBYFRLG / うけつけのおねえさんC reception lady).

In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, they are instead called Pokémon Center receptionists (ポケモンセンターの受付(うけつけ)(ひと) Pokémon Center receptionist).

In the English versions of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, an old lady on Mt. Chimney states she used to be a Pokémon Center girl. The equivalent Japanese name is the same one used for the Pokémon Center lady.

The Trainer class in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon is formatted as Pokémon Center Lady in English.

In the English versions of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, there is a set of Pokémon Center Nurse fashion items. They are originally just ポケセン Pokécen fashion items in Japanese.

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the term "Pokémon Center lady" is used to refer to Pokémon Center operators.

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are Pokémon Nurse and Pokémon Center Lady cards.

In the core series

A Pokémon Center lady operates every Pokémon Center in the Pokémon games (except the one in Po Town, which was taken by Team Skull), usually standing behind the counter and beside a machine which is able to heal the player's Pokémon to full health.

In the Pokémon Gold and Silver Spaceworld '97 demo, the lady at the Pokémon Center in Silent Hill is unable to heal the player's Pokémon due to ongoing maintenance.

In Pokémon Yellow, their appearance was changed to simultaneously reflect the artwork and resemble Nurse Joy as she appears in Kanto, the latter which was reinforced in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. They are also all accompanied by Chansey like Nurse Joy.

In Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, the lady in Fuchsia City has green hair instead of red.

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, a lady named Casey (Japanese: メディ Medi) participates in Master Rank Super Contests with a Chansey nicknamed Pinky (Japanese: ちゃんしー Chansey).

In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, the player's mom used to be a Pokémon Center lady, outright stated by her during a Xtransceiver conversation.[1] She has mentioned working at Nimbasa City[1] and is implied to have worked at Mistralton City.[2]

In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, there is an old lady on Mt. Chimney that states she used to be a "Pokémon Center girl".[3]

In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, Pokémon Center ladies named Mayu (Japanese: マッイ Ma'i) and Perri (Japanese: カマロリ Kamaloli) appear as Trainers that the player can battle in the Battle Royal Dome and Battle Tree respectively.

In the side games

Pokémon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness

Pokémon Center ladies attend the Pokémon Centers of Orre, acting in the same capacity they do in the Generation III core series games. In addiiton, a Pokémon Center lady attends every checkpoint of the Mt. Battle challenge.

In the spin-off games

Pokémon Masters EX

The Pokémon Center of Pasio's Centra City is attended by Trista, Tricia, and Trinnia. While none of the three ladies heal the player's Pokémon directly (as they are healed automatically after completion of a given stage), they can assist the player in managing their teams, scouting new sync pairs, and accessing story content.

In the anime

Main series

Main article: Nurse Joy

In Pokémon the Series and Pokémon Horizons: The Series, Pokémon Centers are run by the Nurse Joys (Japanese: ジョーイ Joy, referred to as ジョーイさん Joy-san by most characters).

In Real Life...Inquire Within!, Ash and his classmates substituted for Melemele Island's Nurse Joy as part of a work experience program. During this, versions of the uniform intended for male operators were shown, and were worn by Kiawe, Sophocles, and (after clearing a misunderstanding) Ash as well. The male uniform appeared again in Alola, Alola!, worn by Brock while he helped an ailing Yungoos as part of his Doctor training.

Pokémon Origins

Pokémon Center ladies made a couple of appearances during the miniseries, serving the same role as in the games. The first one was seen in Viridian City in File 1: Red, while another one appeared in Lavender Town in File 2: Cubone. Unlike in most other media, these ladies are different from each other, having different appearances and voices.

Pokémon Generations

Two Pokémon Center ladies from Lumiose City made a brief cameo appearance in The Beauty Eternal, where they were seen during a televised interview with Lysandre. Similar to Pokémon Origins, they have unique designs that differ from one another.

Pokémon Evolutions

A Pokémon Center lady appeared in a cameo in The Champion. Her outfit and appearance is the same as the Pokémon Center ladies in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

In the manga

The Electric Tale of Pikachu

In addition to Nurse Joy, several generic Pokémon Center ladies appear in The Electric Tale of Pikachu, first appearing in Clefairy Tale. They appear in a wide variety of outfits, which vary from city to city.

Pokémon Adventures

In Wartortle Wars, a Pokémon Center lady at the Celadon City Pokémon Center healed Red's Pika while Red received a call from Professor Oak.

In Pinsir Changes, a Pokémon Center lady at the Anistar City Pokémon Center was tied up as Essentia disguised as her to steal Y's Xerneas. Her appearance was based on the Pokémon Center lady within the Generation VI games.

Pokémon Gold & Silver: The Golden Boys

A Pokémon Center lady appeared in A Promise Given to Miltank.

In the TCG

A Supporter card called Pokémon Nurse appears in the Expedition Base Set. The art on this card slightly resembles Nurse Joy from the anime, but has blue hair. The nurse appearing on the card also seems to have been based on the games.

A second card, titled Pokémon Center Lady, debuted in the Flashfire expansion, both as a regular print and a Full Art card. Both have illustrations of Pokémon Center ladies from Generation VI.
