Emerald arc

In Verily Vanquishing Vileplume I, a Ninja Boy named Kinji/Lao (Japanese: キンジ Kinji) is seen battling Gentleman Walter in the Battle Dome in the Emerald arc. While it is unknown who won, what is known is that Lao at some point lost a match, eliminating him from the tournament.

In Lemme at 'Em, Lapras! and Facing Gulpin Is Hard to Swallow, a virtual Ninja Boy using a Gulpin faces Brandon and his Mawile at the Battle Tower.

Diamond & Pearl arc

In Magnificent Meditite & Really Riolu I, a Ninja Boy makes a cameo while the main characters visit Veilstone City. He was supposed to challenge Maylene but she mixed the Ninja Boy and his friends with the three main characters, due to the main characters possessing an item that made landing attacks easier she had heard the kids talking about.

The Ninja Boy and his friend appeared briefly in Stunning Staravia & Stinky Skuntank II.

Platinum arc

The Ninja Boy from Magnificent Meditite & Really Riolu I is seen together with his friends, entering the Battle Frontier in Deprogramming Porygon-Z. However, he was quickly defeated at the Battle Castle.

In Clobbering Claydol, another Ninja Boy was briefly seen watching Looker on his jetpack.

Spinda is Lao's only known Pokémon. It was seen battling Walter's Oddish in the Battle Dome.

Spinda's only known move is Dizzy Punch.

Debut Verily Vanquishing Vileplume I
Gulpin was used by a virtual Ninja Boy at the Battle Tower but was defeated by Noland.

None of Gulpin's moves are known.

Debut Lemme at 'Em, Lapras!

The Ninja Boy from Veilstone City has at least one Pokémon as he intended to challenge Maylene.
