Kitakami Ogre Clan members are eight Trainers that specialize in a type or a specific battle style. The player will need to defeat seven members in any order to be able to challenge the eighth member, Muramasa, the secret master of the Kitakami Ogre Clan.

Muramasa can be found in front of the gate to Kitakami Hall at any time after the start of the Festival of Masks. He will inform the player about the Kitakami Ogre Clan, describing them as strong Trainers who constantly seek out tough opponents, and encourages the player to find them and battle them.

After defeating all the members, Muramasa reveals himself as the secret master of the Kitakami Ogre Clan and challenges the player to a battle, allowing time to prepare. Once the challenge has been accepted, the player is transported to the center of Kitakami Hall, where the battle begins.

After being defeated by the player, Muramasa gives up the act and admits the entire Kitakami Ogre Clan is a special campaign to help give experience to local Trainers and teach them the joy of battling. The event is always held around the time of the Festival of Masks, but the player is the only person to have ever defeated all the participating Trainers, as they are unable to hold back when it comes to battling.

Rewards

After beating each member of the Kitakami Ogre Clan, the player will be given items as rewards after returning to Muramasa and speaking with him. The order of rewards is static, and does not depend on which members have been defeated.
