Rising Star (Trainer class)

A Rising Star (Japanese: ホープトレーナー Hope Trainer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation VI. They seem to be younger versions of the Ace Trainer class, much like how the Veteran class is an older version.

Only male Rising Stars are seen in Legends: Z-A, where they use Pokémon often considered popular, including first partner Pokémon and pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

One male and one female Rising Star can team up together to form a Rising Star Duo and challenge the player to a Double Battle.

In Generation VII, they keep their Pokémon in Great Balls.

  • In the Battle Maison, a Rising Star claims that she is 39 years old.
