Cherrim (Japanese: チェリム Cherrim) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves from Cherubi starting at level 25.
Cherrim changes appearance in sunny weather.
Biology
Physiology
Cherrim has two different forms, both of which are dependent on the weather (a trait that is also found in Castform). During normal weather conditions, it appears as two crossing purple petals with a short purple stem, a green leafy sepal covering, and two deep pink feet; its eyes appear to be near its legs in this form. When there is strong sunlight, it appears to have a skirt and "hair" made of pink cherry-blossom petals, radiating outward from a yellow sphere on the back of its head that resembles the center of a flower, along with a small triangular patch of green on its neck. Additionally, two berry-like orbs, resembling cherry-shaped hair ornaments, adorn its head. It has stubby limbs, with the arms being pink and the legs being yellow.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Cherrim, like many other Template:Type2s, can utilize the sun in order to use moves like Synthesis and SolarBeam and activate its ability to raise Attack and Special Defense. Cherrim is also able to learn seed-based moves like Leech Seed and Worry Seed, with supporting moves such as Growth, Helping Hand, Lucky Chant.
Behavior
Cherrim is said to release all of its pent up anger when it opens. Because of this, it is continuously happy until it closes again.

Trivia
- Cherrim is one of the only two Pokémon to change its form depending on the weather, the other being Castform.
- Along with Castform, it is the only fully-evolved Pokémon that can change forms freely that is not banned from tournaments.
- Sunshine Cherrim still seems to remain in a state of euphoria even in its fainting animation in Pokémon Battle Revolution.
- All of Cherrim's Pokédex entries, except for its Pearl one, mention how it blooms in strong sunlight.
Origin
It appears that Cherrim is based on cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are flowers that symbolize Japan.
Name origin
Cherrim's name is based off the English words cherry and cherubim or blossom. Cherrim might be named after the tree, "cherimoya". Its name may also come from the Irish word tirim, meaning dry weather.
In other languages
- German: Kinoso - From Kirsche (cherry), Knospe (bud), and sol (Latin and Spanish for "sun").
- French: Ceriflor - From cerise (cherry) and flora.
- Korean: 체리꼬 Cherikkou - From 체리 (cherry) and 꽃 kkout (flower).
- Chinese (Taiwan and Hong Kong): 櫻花兒 Yīng Huā Ér - Literally "Cherry blossom child". 兒 can also mean baby.
