Bibarel is a large, bulky, brown, bipedal beaver-like rodent Pokémon with a tan "mask" on its face and rumples on the sides. The "mask" has two more circles on a male Bibarel than on a female. There is a tan "bib" on its chest, and it has a large, broad dark-brown tail with a wavy tan pattern on it. Its hind feet are bigger than its forefeet, with a tan paw pad on the underside. Bibarel has pronounced front teeth, which it uses to chew through wood. It is known to be an industrious worker when it builds its nest near the rivers where it lives. It can cut down trees to build dams and lodges, and its large tail can smack down mud to waterproof the dams and lodges.

Major appearances
Bibarel appeared in Bibarel Gnaws Best!, under the command of Isis. It refused to help build a bridge because it knew it was structurally unstable.
Bibarel may be a combination of beaver or Biber (German for beaver) and barrel. It may also refer to bib (which is similar to the pattern on Bibarel's front) or a transliteration of ビーバー biibaa (beaver).
Beadaru is a combination of beaver and 樽 taru (barrel).
