The Trapinch evolutionary line, along with the Gligar evolutionary line, are the only evolutionary families to be in the Bug Egg Group with no Bug-type members.
Out of all unevolved Pokémon, Trapinch can learn the most moves by leveling up which its evolutions cannot, excluding Pokémon who evolve via evolutionary stones, such as Skitty and Growlithe.
