Wingull (Japanese: キャモメ Camome) is a dual-type Water/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves into Pelipper starting at level 25.
Biology
Physiology
Wingull is a small, white seagull-like Pokémon. Oddly, Wingull’s head appears to consitute a considerable portion of its body, due to seemingly not possessing a neck or similar distinction. Its eyes are thin, dark, and simplistic in form, and there are two small, pointed and somewhat earlike extensions on its head. Wingull’s long, orange, hooked beak is tipped with black. Wingull’s wings are notable for their long, thin shape, usually outstretched, and blue stripes. Wingull’s three tailfeathers, also tipped with blue, are proportionally short and in a fan-like arrangement. As Wingull is often airborne, and because its orange, two-toed feet are held close to the body in flight and otherwise small, they are an inconspicuous detail.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
As a Template:Type2 Pokémon, it is capable of using attacks such as Water Gun and Water Pulse.
Behavior
Wingull tend to collect valuable objects and hide them in all sorts of places.
Habitat
Wingull make their nests at steep cliffs hanging over the sea of the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions.
Diet
- Main article: Pokémon food
As a sea bird Pokémon, Wingull's diet can be presumed to mainly consist of fish.
In the animeIn the manga
Wingull first appeared near the start of the Ruby & Sapphire arc in the form of Peeko, Mr. Briney's pet bird. It eventually evolved into a Pelipper by the time of the next chapter.
Much later, Pearl fights a pack of Wingull on his way to Lake Valor. They continually switched out the weakened and healed themselves with Roost, but their hostility vanished when Pearl helped save their young from falling.

Trivia
Origin
Wingull appears to be derived from a seagull, but the way it just floats on air currents more closely resembles the albatross.
Name origin
Wingull's name is a combination of wing and (sea)gull.
Camome is a corruption of the Japanese word for seagull, 鴎 kamome, on which Wingull is based.
