Trivia

Origin

Crustle is based on a hermit crab. Its shell resembles a block of stratum rather than an actual shell, though the design also seems to resemble ornately-colored hermit crab shells.

Name origin

Crustle is likely some sort of combination of crust, crumble, rustle, and/or castle. Crustle may also come from crustacean, which is what it appears to be. Iwaparesu may come from 岩 Iwa, rock and パレス paresu, palace, or プレス, press.
