Physiology
Zuruzukin is a bipedal lizard-like Pokémon. Its oval-shaped eyes, that have droopy grey eyelids, are set to the sides of its head, and its teeth are like that of Croagunk. It sports a red crest on its head, similar in appearance to a mohawk and the yellow skin that once covered its head as a Zuruggu has moulted off and hangs on its shoulders, similar to a jacket hoodie. Its body is orange-colored, with thin arms and and a grey, scaled belly. It carries its lower body's molted, yellow skin around its legs, making them resemble pants, although some of the skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail. On its tail is a single red spike.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon have the same type combination as Zuruzukin and its pre-evolved form.
Origin
Zuruzukin appears to be based on a sort of lizard, possibly a frilled lizard given its neck ruffle. In addition, with its red spike mohawk, molted skin "pants" and "hoodie", Zuruzukin also seem to encapsulate stereotypes of various urban youth subcultures of the past several decades, namely hip hop or punk.
Name origin
Zuruzukin's name may come from zuruzuru, the sound or act of dragging or loose, both referring to its baggy "pants", and zukin (hood), referring to the hood-like formation around its neck.
