Stealth Rock is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV that deals damage if foe switches Pokémon. Although Stealth Rock is in the Status category, it is affected by type match-ups. The only way to get rid of Stealth Rock is to use Rapid Spin.
Effect
Stealth Rock is unique among the Spiking moves (see Spikes) in that the amount of damage inflicted upon switching is affected by type effectiveness, and does not stack if multiple layers are set. The damage is taken from the victim's max HP, and follows:
- 0.25× effective = 3.125%
- 0.5× effective = 6.25%
- 1× effective = 12.5%
- 2× effective = 25%
- 4× effective = 50%
