Carnivine (Japanese: マスキッパ Muskippa) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Its appearance is based on a Venus Flytrap, with circular eyes and small pupils. Instead of having legs like other Grass Pokémon (like Bellsprout), it has red and green vines attached to the end of its yellow and green-spotted stem, giving the vines the appearance of tentacles. The leaves act as arms, and appear to have three leafy 'fingers'. Its mouth can open to about 180 degrees wide.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Carnivine has the ability to hover above the ground.
Behavior
Hanging from branches using its tentacles, Carnivine is said to look like a plant. With its mouth wide open, it attracts the prey it waits for with a sweet-smelling saliva, then chomps down. It takes a whole day to eat prey.
Habitat
Carnivine inhabits forests, and marshes.
