==Geography== | ==Geography==
The Desert Resort is split into two distinct areas: a narrow desert path and a large, barren desert. A sandstorm is always occurring in both parts. Like Route 4, the Desert Resort has Sand tile rather than tall grass. The Desert Resort's southeastern entrance is a short, narrow pathway that cuts through a rocky hill. A gate at the end of the path connects directly to the inner area. The interior covers a large area and features many sandy hills, valleys, and deep sand throughout its barren ground. In the center of the northern end of the resort lies one of the entrances to the Relic Castle. This entrance is guarded by five statues which are actually Darmanitan in their List of Pokémon with form differences. If the player uses a RageCandyBar on them, they can be awoken. To the west of the entrance is a tower that acts as an exit to Relic Castle. In , this tower is buried in the sand and becomes inaccessible. At the very northern end of the resort, a hillside can be seen sliding into the ocean.

===Pokémon Black and White===
Five Darmanitan can be found here on the first visit. A RageCandyBar must be used in order to battle them. If defeated or run from, they respawn after entering the Hall of Fame.
They each have a 50% chance of holding a Rawst Berry.

===Pokémon Black 2 and White 2===
Some of N's Pokémon appear here as wild encounters after viewing the Memory Link flashback "Meeting Friends, Saying Good-Bye". If defeated or run from, they are able to be encountered again.
They each have a 1% encounter rate, 30 IVs in every stat, and are coded to never be Shiny.
They each have 255 friendship when caught.

====BW==== | |||
Desert Resort was first mentioned in TRT's mission briefing with Giovanni in The Bloom Is On Axew!. He told them that a special meteorite called the Meteonite was said to be located within the desert, and as such, told the trio to go there to retrieve it.
In A Venipede Stampede!, the trio, along with Pierce and Dr. Zager, traveled in a helicopter above the barren desert and located the Meteonite, with Giovanni heading there as well after receiving word of the discovery. Ash and ashfr met up with Professor Juniper to travel to the Desert Resort because of Team Rocket's unusual activity.
The Desert Resort and the Relic Castle within it were set to play a major role in the original BW023 and BW024 during the confrontation between Team Rocket and Team Plasma, but the episodes have since been postponed indefinitely, and ended up being retconned out of continuity when Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot! aired.
====JN==== | |||
In Raid Battle in The Ruins!, Ash and Goh traveled to the Desert Resort to explore the newly discovered Colossus Ruins. As the sand was too hot to cross by foot, a Pokémon Ranger named Kira instructed them to use their flying Pokémon to pull them across the desert on surfboards. Thanks to this, they were able to travel to the ruins.
The Desert Resort reappeared in Trial on a Golden Scale!, where Goh hoped to find a Volcarona at the Colossus Ruins in order to pass his Project Mew Trial Mission. However, it turned out that Pokémon poachers had scared them away before his arrival, forcing him to instead search for one from a nearby abandoned mine.

Location of Desert Resort in Unova.
Pokémon world locations |
The Desert Resort (Japanese: リゾートデザート Resort Desert) is a desert located within the Unova region. It is connected to Route 4 at its southeastern exit. It provides access to the Relic Castle. It has two subareas: desert and entrance.
Geography
The Desert Resort is split into two distinct areas: a narrow desert path and a large, barren desert. A sandstorm is always occurring in both parts. Like Route 4, the Desert Resort has deep sand rather than tall grass. This entrance is guarded by five statues which are actually Darmanitan in their Zen Mode. If the player uses a RageCandyBar on them, they can be awoken. To the west of the entrance is a tower that acts as an exit to Relic Castle. In Black 2 and White 2, this tower is buried in the sand and becomes inaccessible. At the very northern end of the resort, a hillside can be seen sliding into the ocean.

Pokémon the Series
Pokémon the Series: Black & White
Desert Resort was first mentioned in Team Rocket's mission briefing with Giovanni in The Bloom Is On Axew!.
Ash and his friends met up with Professor Juniper to travel to the Desert Resort because of Team Rocket's unusual activity.
The Desert Resort and the Relic Castle within it were set to play a major role in the original BW023 and BW024 during the confrontation between Team Rocket and Team Plasma, but the episodes have since been postponed indefinitely, and ended up being retconned out of continuity when Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot! aired.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
Pokémon Generations
Desert Resort made an appearance along with Relic Castle in The Adventure, where Red and his Pikachu were seen entering the castle.
In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Black & White arc
The Desert Resort appeared in Lights, Camera... Action!, where Clay's Workers excavated the Dark Stone from there.
