Effect

In battle

Hustle increases the user's Attack stat by 50%, but lowers the accuracy of the user's physical moves by 20% (approximated as a multiplier of 3277/4096 from Generation V onwards). OHKO moves and special moves are unaffected by Hustle.

Generation III

In addition to lowering the accuracy of the user's physical moves, Hustle lowers the accuracy of status moves with types corresponding to physical moves.[1]

The type of damage dealt by Hidden Power determines whether its accuracy is affected by Hustle.

Generation IV

Status moves are no longer affected by Hustle, regardless of their type.

Hustle increases self-inflicted confusion damage.

Generation V onwards

Hustle no longer affects confusion damage.

Outside of battle

From Pokémon Emerald onwards, if a Pokémon with Hustle is in the first slot in the party (even if fainted), there's a 50% chance that a Pokémon will be forced to the upper bound of their encounter level range. It shares this effect with Pressure and Vital Spirit.

Generation VIII

This Ability effect may be in need of research.
Reason: Does Hustle's field effect work in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Hustle appears to have no effect on the level range of wild Pokémon.

Generation IX

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Hustle appears to have no effect on the level range of wild Pokémon.
