Unova Route 17

Route 17 (Japanese: １７番水道 Water Route 17) is a water route in southwestern Unova, connecting Route 1 to Route 18. It is accessed by Surfing west from Route 1. The player spends most of the time here surfing, although there is shallow water on some parts of the route where the player can land. There are a lot of water currents here, and the water currents going down will lead the player to Route 18.

The P2 Laboratory is located on the northern part of the route. After defeating Ghetsis in Black 2 and White 2, the Plasma Frigate permanently docks there.

Route description

Route 17 is a mid-sized sea route littered with shallow spots and currents. Because of the currents, a few players may find difficulty in accessing Route 18. The electric billboard inside of the gate from Route 1 to Route 17 is off due to the lack of news in the area. The guide claims it is "kind of refreshing".

• The Town Map shows Route 17 heading west from Nuvema Town. The route's eastern terminus actually connects to Route 1, but it is still located to the west of Nuvema Town.
