Fight for the Future Together (Japanese: みんなで勝ち取る未来 A Future We Can All Win Together) was a Neo Champions event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Marnie (Champion) & Moltres, Hop (Champion) & Zapdos, and Bede (Champion) & Articuno.

During this event, players could earn vouchers from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.

The player could battle using Marnie (Champion) & Moltres, Hop (Champion) & Zapdos, or Bede (Champion) & Articuno to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Leon & Charizard, Gloria & Zacian, or Victor & Rillaboom to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and Scottie/Bettie & Pikachu, Scottie/Bettie & Torchic, or any unlisted Galar sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.

This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning medals and other rewards

In addition, players could earn a medal for completing all the story areas in the event.

First run

The event first ran from February 28 to March 25, 2023. The "Marnie Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Marnie (Champion) & Moltres from the beginning of the event to April 9, 2023. The "Hop Master Fair Scout" gave an increased chance of recruiting Hop (Champion) & Zapdos from March 2 to April 9, 2023. The "Bede Master Fair Scout" gave an increased chance of recruiting Bede (Champion) & Articuno from March 4 to April 9, 2023.

In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was Event Voucher Y. Event mission rewards included medals, Gems, Battle Points, a Tech Move Candy Coin, and a Support Move Candy Coin.

For the duration of the event, a splash screen featuring art of Marnie (Champion) & Moltres, Hop (Champion) & Zapdos, and Bede (Champion) & Articuno was displayed when opening the game.

Second run

The event reran from August 20 to 28, 2024. The "Marnie Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Marnie (Champion) & Moltres for the duration of the event. The "Hop Master Fair Scout" gave an increased chance of recruiting Hop (Champion) & Zapdos from August 21, 2024 to the end of the event. The "Bede Master Fair Scout" gave an increased chance of recruiting Bede (Champion) & Articuno from August 22, 2024 to the end of the event. All three of these sync pairs received unlockable EX roles in conjunction with their respective scouts.

In this run, the type of voucher that players could earn was Event Voucher V. Event mission rewards included medals and Gems.

Plot

Leon announces the beginning of the second Neo Champion Stadium, for which he will be the head judge. Then he lays out the rules for this tournament: participants will have to form three-person teams to take on the trio of himself, Victor, and Gloria, and they will be judged on their passion for victory and determination to grow stronger together with others. Leon reminds the crowd that they don't have to beat his team to become Neo Champions, but he wants all participants to give it their best shot and try to win. Large crowds have gathered in Centra City and the Pokémon Center to watch the announcement, including Hop, Marnie, and Bede.

The next day, Hop and Marnie have a practice battle in the forest with their new partners, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. They're planning to compete in the tournament, but they don't know who to invite to be their third team member - Piers has already teamed up with Raihan and Gordie, and Sonia has already teamed up with Nessa and Bea. In addition, Victor and Gloria are judges, so they can't participate. Marnie wonders why they'd give up the opportunity to become Neo Champions, and Hop shrugs it off and suggests they get back to training. Before they can resume, however, Galarian Articuno shows up and gets into a stand-off with the other two Galarian legendary birds. As Hop and Marnie look on in shock, Bede appears, reveals that he's formed a sync pair with Articuno, and smugly offers to join their team.

Hop is less than impressed by his arrogance, guessing that Bede is in the same boat as them - he couldn't find anyone else to join his team. Marnie knows that they need another teammate, though, so she agrees to let him join. The three Trainers reminisce about how difficult their partner Pokémon were to catch, and as Hop notes that they're all pretty rebellious, the three legendaries get into a squabble. Hop, Bede, and Marnie manage to calm them down, but Hop worries that they won't be able to show Leon the teamwork he's expecting from Neo Champions. Bede tells Hop not to hold him back, which angers Hop, and Marnie comments that the three of them need to get on the same page before they can work together as a good team.

Elsewhere, Leon thanks Victor and Gloria for helping him out, even though they forfeit the right to become Neo Champions. They assure him that the fact that he trusts them enough to be his allies is just as good as becoming Neo Champion. The trio are looking forward to battling all their challengers - especially Hop - and they start training to take them on, revealing that Gloria will be using Inteleon, Victor will be using Rillaboom, and Leon will be using Charizard.

Back in the forest, Hop, Marnie, and Bede are now discussing their strategy for how to take down Leon, Victor, and Gloria. Marnie wonders if they have any weaknesses that can be exploited, and Hop says that Leon is incredibly strong but gets tunnel vision in a heated battle and doesn't notice what's going on with his allies. Marnie says that Gloria is great at offense but lacking in defense, and Bede says that Victor is a careful thinker and strategist, but he can overthink his tactics sometimes which delays his reaction time. Hop comments that Victor's tendency to strategize means he's likely to be the one calling the shots for the whole team, and Marnie comes up with a plan that they hope will catch the others off guard and allow their team to claim victory.

On the day of the tournament, Leon's team is steadily but consistently battling their way through all their challengers. Sonia's team tries to gang up on Leon to take his Charizard down first, but in doing so they leave themselves vulnerable to be taken out by Victor and Gloria's Pokémon. Raihan's team achieves a little more success; by having Gordie and Raihan team up on Leon while Piers plays defense, they manage to defeat Charizard, but Inteleon and Rillaboom subsequently take them all out. Finally, Hop's team arrives to challenge Leon's team, and after exchanging a few words, the battle begins.

Hop, Marnie, and Bede manage to split the battle into three one-on-ones: Hop fighting Leon, Marnie fighting Gloria, and Bede fighting Victor. Leon and Gloria think they're planning to take them down individually, but Victor is skeptical and starts trying to figure out what they're really planning. Eventually, he realizes that they're going to try to gang up on him, but before he can warn his teammates, Hop and Marnie command their partners to help Articuno attack Rillaboom, and Rillaboom is taken out. Then, Articuno and Moltres gang up on Inteleon. When Leon tries to send Charizard to help Inteleon out, Hop's Zapdos blocks his way. After Inteleon is taken out, it's down to a true three-on-one. Leon refuses to give up, and Hop knows better than to underestimate him, but he declares that he and his teammates will fight to open up a new future. Their Pokémon clash, and Hop's team is eventually victorious.

With the tournament over, Hop, Bede, and Marnie pose on the arena's stage with their partners and their new Neo Champion outfits. Leon congratulates them on becoming Neo Champions, and explains how their victory demonstrated their passion for victory and determination to get stronger together. Sonia and Raihan's teams congratulate them on their victory, and Piers reminds them that everyone's eyes will now be on them. Marnie, Bede, and Hop assure him that they'll be good role models befitting of the title of Neo Champion, and Hop declares that they'll carry on and get stronger together.

(Hop, Bede, and Marnie gather in the center of the clearing and look at their partner Pokémon)
Hop	I didn't expect the three Legendary bird Pokémon from Galar to come together like this.
(Zapdos cries out)
Hop	I remember my Zapdos running around so fast that it was a pain to try to catch...
(Articuno cries out)
Bede	I was troubled by Articuno's behavior of toying with people.
(Moltres cries out)
Marnie	I had trouble with Moltres because it was so finicky and intimidating...
Hop	I have to say... All three of them are kinda rebellious, aren't they.
(The Pokémon suddenly cry out and start attacking each other)
Hop	Whoa! What happened?
Marnie	Hey, Moltres! Shut your gob!
(Fade to black; fade back to the forest, where the Pokémon look calmer)
Hop	L-looks like they've calmed down... I'm kinda worried whether we can show Lee the kind of teamwork he's expecting...
Bede	sigh Please don't hold me back...
Hop	Listen here, you...
Marnie	I think we Trainers need to get on the same page first.
(Transition to Leon talking to Victor and Gloria in the mountains)
Leon	Thanks for helping me out, Gloria, Victor. As judges, you forfeit the right to become Neo Champion... But I...I really wanted to ask you two. I know everyone's gonna be super passionate about beating me and becoming the Neo Champion! Raihan and Sonia, and not just them... I thought you two would be the best pair to help me face such feelings.
Victor	Those words are enough for me.
Gloria	For you to acknowledge our skills, Leon... It's just as good as becoming the Neo Champion! We also want to see everyone's conviction—and face it head on!
Victor	That's why we took you up on your offer.
Leon	I guess I was right in asking you two.
Victor	But there sure is a lot of pressure, isn't there!

Bede	We won't win by just attacking randomly.

Hop	Habit, huh... Honestly, Lee is so strong, I'm not sure we could beat him three-on-one... But in a heated battle, he can sometimes get so into it that he gets tunnel vision!
Marnie	Gloria is very strong on offense... But I think her defense could be better.
Bede	Victor always makes the optimal choice in battle, and he usually takes the win. Just thinking about it is getting on my nerves.
Hop	Yeah! That IS how Victor battles! Which means there's a good chance Victor will be the one calling the shots!
Marnie	Smart thinking! I'd expect no less from someone who's gonna be the best professor! But that's his strength. Does Victor have any weaknesses?
Bede	Let's see... There are times when he overthinks tactics, which can slightly delay his instructions to his Pokémon.
Marnie	I've got an idea!
Bede	I see. Good plan. We might be able to catch the three of them off guard that way.
Hop	Right! If we use that plan against Lee's team...
Marnie	we'll absolutely take them down!
Bede	Of course. I won't tolerate failure.
Hop	Now then, let's start our final push!
(Bede, Marnie, and Hop each pose with their partner Pokémon; fade to black)

Nessa	Today's the day we wash away all the frustrations we've had up till now!
Bea	Champion Leon... I'll be getting my revenge for that humiliating defeat at that stadium in Galar!
Sonia	So brace yourself!
(Sonia's Yamper boosts the team's stats while Nessa's Drednaw and Bea's Machamp attack Leon's Charizard)
Leon	Not gonna get me with that!
Sonia	Huh?!
(Victor's Rillaboom defeats Drednaw while Gloria's Inteleon defeats Machamp)

Gloria	So don't forget about us!

(Yamper charges at Charizard; fade to Raihan, Gordie, and Piers battling Leon's team)

Raihan	Let the winds blow! Stream forward, Sandstorm!
(Raihan's Flygon uses Sandstorm)
Victor	We can't let our opponents use the field to their advantage! Leon! Gloria!

Gloria	Sure thing!
(Charizard, Inteleon, and Rillaboom charge forward, but Piers's Obstagoon jumps in their way)
Piers	Nope, I can't let that happen. We've got to win. (Please watch this, Sis!) Raihan! Gordie! Now's your chance! Go!
Raihan	Leave it to me!
(Flygon and Gordie's Coalossal manage to defeat Leon's Charizard)
Raihan	All right!
Leon	Quite impressive, but...
(Inteleon and Rillaboom defeat Obstagoon, Flygon, and Coalossal)
Piers	I guess there's no encore...
(Fade to white; transition to Hop, Marnie, and Bede arriving on the battlefield)
Leon	You made it. Hop! Marnie! Bede!
(The crowd cheers)
Leon	Can you hear that? The excitement is nearly through the roof. All of you! Hit me with all you've got!
Hop	Of course! Brace yourselves, Lee, Victor, Gloria!
Gloria	You too!
Victor	I've no intention of losing!
Marnie	We're gonna win and become Neo Champions!
Bede	I'll cover the heat of the crowd in the color of Bede!
Hop	We're gonna show everyone the greatest battle ever—and set the world on fire!

(Zapdos turns and jumps away from Charizard)

Marnie	Now, Moltres!
(Moltres flies away from Inteleon)
Gloria	Huh?!
Marnie	Don't let the other two get all the best bits!
(Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres surround Rillaboom)
Victor	I knew it! They were after me from the start...
Bede	Overthinking much, Victor?
Hop	You're too fired up, Lee! You've gotta look around!
(Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres defeat Rillaboom)
Gloria	No way!
Bede	Should you really be looking away, Gloria? You're next!
(Articuno and Moltres fly towards Gloria)
Gloria	Whoa!
Leon	Tch... Gloria!
(Charizard turns to help Gloria, but Zapdos blocks the way)
Hop	Hey now! I'm your opponent, Lee!
Leon	Hop...
(Articuno and Moltres knock out Inteleon)
Gloria	Awww...
Marnie	Gotta work on that defense, Gloria!
Hop	The only one left is...
(Marnie and Bede walk to Hop's side)
Leon	You got me! I didn't expect to be cornered like this! But...I won't give up, no matter what! It's not over yet! I'm gonna show you a champion time!
(Leon strikes a Charizard pose)
Hop	I know better than anyone you're not easy to beat, Lee! But still! The three of us are gonna open up a new future!
(Hop, Marnie, and Bede prepare to battle more; fade to white; fade back in on the stage in the stadium, where Marnie, Bede, and Hop pose in their Champion outfits; Hop, Marnie, and Bede approach Leon, Victor, Gloria, and the others on the battlefield)
Leon	Congratulations, Hop, Marnie, Bede!
(Gordie, Piers, Raihan, Bea, Sonia, and Nessa offer their congratulations)
Leon	After deliberation, the other judges and I have chosen you all as Neo Champions.
(Victor and Gloria offer their congratulations)
Leon	You did your research on us and came up with an excellent strategy, and that showed us your passion for victory! Furthermore, your teamwork utilized each of your three sync pairs' strengths... That proved your determination to get stronger together! As frustrating as it is, you completely crushed us!
Hop	Well, I'm sure that plan would only work once.
Bede	None of you are foolish enough to fall for the same thing twice.
Marnie	We know you the best, so we know you're not that easy to beat.
Bea	You were able to claim this victory because you three are close to Leon and his team members.
Raihan	That's right! You always face them with everything you've got, and that's how you came up with that plan!

This event includes all Trainers from Galar in the game at the time of its debut except Allister and Melony. This may be a reference to how Allister and Melony are version-exclusive Gym Leaders, being absent in Pokémon Sword.
Marnie is the only character appearing in this event who has a unique battle theme that does not play during the event.
Bea's motivation for trying to beat Leon may be a reference to Pokémon: Twilight Wings, which begins with Leon defeating Bea in a televised battle in Wyndon Stadium.
