Threads of Strength (Japanese: 紡がれる最強の物語) was a story event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Sygna Suit Cynthia and Lucario and Sygna Suit Red and Pikachu.
The "Sygna Suit Cynthia Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Sygna Suit Cynthia (Aura) and Lucario for the duration of the event, and the "Sygna Suit Red Master Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) and Pikachu starting on September 1, 2022 and lasting until the end of the event.
During this event, players could earn Event Vouchers V from battles that could be redeemed in the Shop. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra vouchers were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.
The player could battle using Sygna Suit Cynthia (Aura) and Lucario or Sygna Suit Red (Thunderbolt) and Pikachu to obtain +0.6× bonus vouchers; Blue and Pidgeot, Lucas and Dialga, or Kris and Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr to obtain +0.4× bonus vouchers; and Hop and Zamazenta, Professor Oak and Mew, the player character and Pikachu, the player character and Torchic, or any unlisted Electric- or Fighting-type sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus vouchers.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning medals and other rewards.
In addition, players could earn a medal for completing all the story areas in the event.
