The "Akari Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Akari and Hisuian Samurott from the beginning of the event to October 19, 2023, and the "Rei Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Rei and Hisuian Decidueye from October 1 to 19, 2023.
During this event, players could earn Event Vouchers M from battles that could be redeemed in the shop. In addition, players could earn a medal for completing all the story areas in the event.
Plot
Akari and Rei are caught in a space-time distortion on Pasio, surrounded by aggressive wild Pokémon. Akari's Pokémon have been knocked out, though Rei's Hisuian Decidueye is still standing. Akari sees something sparkling, so she asks Rei to cover her while she runs and retrieves it. She thinks it looks a bit strange, but she grabs it and throws it at a Hisuian Samurott that appeared in the distortion.
Akari and Rei manage to make it out of the distortion, and they wonder where they are, since it doesn't seem to be Hisui. They hear other voices nearby, and are shocked to discover that they belong to Lucas and Dawn, two people who look just like them. Lucas and Dawn are equally shocked, but they quickly guess that these are Rei and Akari, the people Adaman and Irida told them about when they met. Akari and Rei are confused, so Lucas and Dawn introduce themselves and explain that they're from Sinnoh, and Rei and Akari have ended up in the future. Rei suspects that they were brought here by the space-time distortion, and he says it's a familiar feeling. However, he notes to himself that he hasn't forgotten about the people he met in Hisui. Dawn suggests that they go find Adaman and Irida, which Akari and Rei are happy to do.
When they arrive in town, Akari marvels at all the huge, sparkly, clean buildings and the fact that people and Pokémon live together like it's normal. Rei says that it feels kinda familiar, even though it's the future, and Akari wonders if it's the world Rei originally came from. At Dawn's request, Rei explains that he's not originally from Hisui but rather was sent there by a space-time rift, and Lucas remembers Adaman and Irida mentioning someone like that. Dawn asks if it's come full circle and now Rei is back in his original world, but Rei says that while he doesn't remember clearly, he thinks this world feels a little different than the world he came from originally. Rei says that he's happy to be part of the Galaxy Team's Survey Corps, and Akari comments that the Galaxy Team is composed of people from all different regions coming together to work in harmony, just like on Pasio. Dawn says that's completely different from the Team Galactic they know, and Lucas says it would've been nice if they hadn't changed.
Adaman calls out to the group, and Rei turns around to greet him, only to be surprised by the appearance of Giratina. Adaman appears alongside Irida, and Rei asks what they're doing with Giratina. Adaman says it's someone's partner Pokémon, prompting Cynthia to walk out from behind it and greet Rei and Akari, noting their resemblance to Lucas and Dawn. Rei is surprised again, and he comments that Cynthia looks like someone he knows. Adaman knows who Rei is referring to, and he's ecstatic that he got to see Rei and Akari's shocked reactions. Cynthia formally introduces herself as a researcher of myths, and Irida explains that Cynthia wants to hear stories about the Hisui region. She says that Cynthia also has interesting stories to share, and she starts to introduce Giratina to them, but Rei already knows its name — he's seen it before. Irida says that she was shocked when she learned that Giratina is a Pokémon that can go toe-to-toe with Palkia and Dialga, which shocks Akari too. Adaman also mentions that there are Trainers on Pasio who have formed sync pairs with Dialga and Palkia, including Lucas. Irida explains what a sync pair is, and Adaman explains that they've formed sync pairs with their Pokémon — including placing them in Poké Balls — so they can learn more about how Pokémon and people coexist. Rei is surprised by this, but he decides that he'll follow their lead and work hard as a sync pair. Akari agrees, since she wants to become a worthy opponent for Rei. Cynthia says she'd appreciate it if Rei and Akari would help her with her research into space-time distortions and rifts, which Rei and Akari are happy to help with.
A few days later, Dawn and Barry are training with Rei on the beach, and Dawn is impressed with how quickly he's gotten used to Pasio. Rei says that part of him still remembers being a Trainer in the world he's originally from, so that makes using modern Poké Balls and being a sync pair easy for him. Barry comments that it must be tough being sent to different worlds over and over again, and Rei says it's a little confusing, but no matter what world he's in, people and Pokémon live together, and everyone helps him out. So, he's going to return the favor and help everyone else to the best of his ability.
Meanwhile, Lucas and Akari are training in the forest. Akari tries using her sync move with her Pikachu, but it doesn't work. Lucas says that sync stones don't work well with Poké Balls from Hisui, but Akari says her Pokémon are scared of modern Poké Balls. Lucas theorizes that since a Poké Ball is meant to be like a home for a Pokémon, Akari's Pokémon are comfortable in the Poké Balls she made and don't want to leave them. Akari says her Pokémon are also confused by Pasio because it's so different from Hisui, and she worries that she'll never be able to take her first step as a sync pair. She thinks about the fact that Adaman, Irida, and Rei's Pokémon have all adapted to Pasio quickly and wonders if she's doing something wrong. Lucas assures her that she's not doing anything wrong, that different Pokémon adjust at different rates, and there's no need for her to rush. However, Akari is frustrated that she said she'd become a worthy opponent for Rei, but he's surpassed her yet again. Lucas says he gets it — he was a mentor to Dawn and taught her a lot, but she quickly got better at Pokémon battling than him. He says they need to keep trying their best to get stronger and show Rei and Dawn what they can do. Lucas doesn't want to push her Pokémon too hard, though, so he suggests that she try to form a sync pair with a new Pokémon while hers are still getting used to the new environment. Akari realizes that she has a new Pokémon that she caught in a Pasio Poké Ball, and she sends out the Hisuian Samurott that she caught in the space-time distortion.
Later, Lucas, Akari, and Irida have a battle against Dawn, Rei, and Adaman in the Pasio arena, while Barry and Cynthia watch. Adaman, Irida, and Rei are surprised when Akari sends out Samurott, since they've never seen her battle alongside it before. Lucas says that Akari and Samurott have been growing fast as a sync pair, and Akari says that it was only thanks to Lucas's help. Then she tells Rei that even in this new land, she's still aiming to become a worthy opponent for him, and Rei tells her to show him how strong she's gotten. Lucas tells Dawn that he feels the same way as Akari, and everyone sends out their Pokémon and prepares to battle.
A few days later, Cynthia and Rei are investigating Pasio's ruins when Rei notices something sparkling on the ground. Cynthia says she's never seen anything like it before, and notes that it has a similar shine to a sync stone. She comments that Giratina has been interested in this area for a while and wonders if a special power lurks here. Rei says that this place looks really similar to ruins he saw in Hisui, and Giratina reacts to something. Rei takes a defensive posture like he's expecting something to emerge from the ruins, but nothing appears. Rei apologizes and tells Cynthia it's nothing, but privately he wonders if it's possible. As Cynthia and Rei leave the ruins, something yellow and spiky runs along the ground behind a pillar...

Trivia
- This event references Travelers from a Distant Past multiple times:
- Dawn mentions that Adaman and Irida mistook her and Lucas for Rei and Akari when they first arrived on Pasio
- Lucas says that she mentioned people who came to the past through space-time rifts.
- In this event, Cynthia says that her Giratina has taken an interest in Pasio's ruins, which was demonstrated in the villain event Galactic Nightmare as well as the Sinnoh chapter of the Villain Arc.
- Notably, both of those story areas were added to the game before Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released.
- The Pokémon that appears in the ruins at the end of this event appears to be a Togepi. Combined with Rei's and Giratina's reactions to the ruins, this may suggest that Volo is in the ruins.
- This event was the first time 5-Pack Drink Sets were made available.
