Dark Pulse (Japanese: あくのはどう Evil Pulse) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Generation IV
Dark Pulse inflicts damage and has a 20% chance of causing the target to flinch.
Generation V
Dark Pulse can hit non-adjacent opponents in triple battles.

- All Dark-type moves were classed, due to their type, as special moves prior to Generation IV. Due to the damage category split, however, all Dark-type moves from Generations II and III became physical moves, and until Generation V, Dark Pulse was the only special Dark-type move available.
