The Torchic evolved and had to be hidden. After the Combusken saved a Wailord, Nurse Joy decided to keep it as gaurd for her Pokémon Center.
May has a Combusken that she obtained as a Torchic in Get the Show on the Road!. It evolved in A Shroomish Skirmish.
