Trivia
Mantine's Generation IV sprite has no Remoraid attached to its wings, unlike past sprites. The ironic part about this is that it is required that a Remoraid be in the party with a Mantyke when it levels up so that it will evolve into Mantine.
Many say that Mantine has less potential as a special wall, being 4x weak to Electric.
Origin
It is similar to a manta ray.
Name origin
Mantine's name, an anglicization of its Japanese name, may be a combination of manta and marine.
