Mamoswine (Japanese: マンムー Mammoo) is a dual-type Ice/Ground Pokémon.
It evolves from Piloswine when leveled up while knowing AncientPower. It is the final evolution of Swinub.
Biology
Physiology
Mamoswine resembles a W crossed with a boar. Mamoswine's brown fur is very thick to endure harsh cold and protect from snow and ice, thus explaining their Snow Cloak ability. Their tusks are made of pure, solid ice, and their massive body size is also helpful in preserving their own body heat. Mamoswine has a "mask" like pattern of coloration around their face, with a white rim and blue inside. The fur on their muzzle is tan and shaggy, and their nose, like their pre-evolutions, is also pig-like, if somewhat less so. Mamoswine's feet are black in coloration, with three thick claws, and Mamoswine's tail is small. Mamoswine exhibit a few Template:Type2 characteristics such as their sturdy body and powerful physiques. In Uncrushing Defeat!, its tongue is shown to be rather large.
Gender differences
A female Mamoswine has shorter tusks than a male one.
Special abilities
Mamoswine have incredibly strong physical force. Their study body and feet enable them to cross even the most dense and dry snow. Mamoswine are able to endure harsh winters and hunger for an almost indefinite amount of time, as indicated by a ten-thousand-year-old specimen waking up much to the amazement of those who discovered it.
Thanks to its dual Ice/Ground typing, Mamoswine is the only fully evolved Pokémon not affected by either Hail or Sandstorm (Not including Golduck or Clefable, who have abilities that negate weather effects.)
Behavior
Habitat
Mamoswine lived in the northern W during the last ice age, but reduced in numbers when the climate grew warmer.

Trivia
- Mamoswine's Pokédex entry is a reference to how woolly mammoths became extinct.
- Mamoswine and its pre-evolutions are the only Template:Type2s not weak to Rock, due to their part Ground-typing. However, they are also the only Ice-types weak to Water.
- Mamoswine and its evolutionary family are the only Pokémon that are resistant to damage from all types of weather effects, due to their unique typing.
- Mamoswine's evolutionary chain is the only Pokémon weak to all three starter Pokémon primary types: Fire, Water, and Grass.
- Tied with Kyurem, Mamoswine has the highest Attack of any Ice-type.
- Incidentally, its Icicle Spear hitting five times would be the most powerful physical move of any Template:Type2s.
- Mamoswine would have been obtainable in both Generation II and Generation III if it had existed, as it was possible for Piloswine to learn AncientPower in both generations. It shares this trait with Lickilicky.
- As of Generation V, Mamoswine and its pre-evolutions are the only Template:Type2 Pokémon in the brown color category.
Origin
Mamoswine appears to be based on a combination of a woolly mammoth and a boar.
Name origin
Mamoswine is a combination mammoth and swine. Mammoo may be a combination of mammoth and ぶう ぶう bū bū, an onomatopoeia for oinking.
